THEY MUST BE CANADIANS EH:))

 LAKE HURON WAS ANGRY TODAY
Although we only ended up with a slight skiff of snow overnight, the high winds knocked our power out about 10:15.  The power was restored sometime between midnight and 3 a.m.  With twigs and branches striking the house, and no power, I slept in my warm clothes all night, just in case I had to get up, grab a hammer and some nails, and go put the roof back on.  After cleaning up a couple of armfuls of small branches out in the front yard and on the road, I fired up Subie this morning and took a drive around the Park to see if there was any wind damage anywhere.  Just small branches and twigs here and there.  I then drove to Bayfield's beach, where I knew, with all this sustained wind, there would be waves breaking over the piers at the mouth of the Bayfield River.  I was almost surprised there weren't any young surfers in wetsuits jumping off the pier into the cold, churning waves.  Following that, I took a cruise up and back along Bayfield's Main Street.  I noticed the usual coffee clutch of guys standing outside in the windy cold, drinking their hot coffee.  Snapped a pic going by, then turned around and came back down the street to snap one more, and to my surprise, they all turned and watched me go by with some of them waving.  I managed a quick wave back, and I'm still puzzled as to why they all turned my way and waved.  A split second after I took the second picture, the fellow on the extreme right launched into such a big, stretching left arm wave that I thought he was going to get himself airborne.  Home again, I stayed inside out of the cold, windy weather.

THEY LOOK LIKE A FRIENDLY BUNCH.....MUST BE CANADIANS EH:))
A year ago today, Kelly's youngest son, Ben, and his two sons came for a visit.  The two boys had made 'get well' cards for Kelly.  It was an emotional visit, and especially so when Kelly said goodbye to the two young boys, knowing she may never see them again.

NOT SURE BUT I THINK THAT SHIRT KELLY WAS WEARING MAY HAVE BEEN HER DADS

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing, and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services.  He gasps, "My friend is dead! What can I do?". .The operator says, "Calm down. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead."   There is a silence, then a shot is heard. Back on the phone, the guy says, "OK, now what?"

  1. Poignant photo of Kelly with the boys. I could feel the love and warmth seeing her hug them. And Pheebs at her feet. Those guys waving know that you're the Bayfield Bunch guy who lives in the park and is the Park (and entire area's) Ambassador.
