GROANER'S CORNER:(( A guy found a penguin and showed him to a policeman. The policeman said, "Take that penguin to the zoo, now." Next day the policeman sees the man with the penguin again. The policeman stops the guy and says, I told you yesterday to take the penguin to the zoo. What on earth are you doing with the penguin in your truck again?" The guy says, Yesterday I took him to the zoo, and today I'm taking him to the movies."

An older man once said, "The secret to a long marriage is that we take time to go to a restaurant two times a week. A little candlelight, dinner, soft music, and dancing. She goes on Tuesdays. I go on Fridays".

Late one night, a mugger wearing a ski mask jumped into the path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in his ribs. "Give me your money," he demanded.
Indignant, the affluent man replied, "You can't do this - I'm a United States Congressman!" "In that case," replied the mugger, "give me MY money!"

"I'm sorry," said the clerk in the flower shop, "we don't have potted geraniums. Could you use African violets instead?"
Replied the customer sadly, "No, it was geraniums my wife told me to water while she was away."

When the company president learned that his employees were tanking up on no-trace vodka martinis during their lunch hours, he issued the following memo: To all employees: If you must drink during your lunch hours, please drink whiskey. It is better for our customers to know you're drunk than to think you're stupid.

It seems like such a short time ago the frogs came to your pond. Spring and summer seeem so short compared to winter. So good that you got the decks cleaned off.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love love love the old folks teaching grandkids...lil ones playing with Oma's button box, seed saving, etc etc. Is there anyone today teaching little ones all this stuff? So few families are multi-generational now...and today's parents don't have the time to teach some of these things.
ReplyDeleteNice work on your pressure washing, Al. It's odd, isn't it, to see crocus in early Fall?
Your hostas are so beautiful!

Oh Al, I just loved all the photos in your gallery tonight. Made me remember my Grandma who always let me play with her buttons when I was young! Nice job on your decks. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy seeing the frogs 🐸
