A nice sunny bright November morning but we had a cold wind in the air. No matter, Pheebs and I headed to Goderich with her window down and the Jeep's heater on. A coffee to go at McD's and down to the harbor we went. Followed that with a stop at Walmart for some stuff and then headed home. GODERICH'S OUTER BREAK WALL AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE HARBOR

I finished my Anne Of Green Gables book today and I am so glad I downloaded the whole box set because I have now moved on to the second book in the series, Anne Of Avonlea. I am enjoying these books so immensely. I had no interest in these kinds of books before and I am so grateful the idea of reading Anne of Green Gables popped into my head following my reading of The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame. And where did I get the idea to read Wind In The Willows?? Read my post from last week entitled, My Cousin Larry And Toad Hall:)) AND OF COURSE, THIS IS THE VIEW BESIDE MY RECLINER AS PHEEBS WARMLY SNOOZES IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE.....IT'S HER FAVORITE SPOT:))
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A French man nearly got away with stealing a number of paintings from the Louvre. However, after planning the robbery and getting in and out and past security, he was captured only three blocks away when his Econoline ran out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, “I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.”

Lake Huron looks cold. Lots of wave action stirring up that cold bottom these days.
ReplyDeleteI’m an avid reader but have never read Anne of Green Gables. I have no idea why but it never appealed to me. Perhaps one day that will change as it did for you.
Your sunroom is always an inviting place in your photos. The fire just makes it more so.
