'BANG-ZOOM'

 A RATHER SUBDUED TUESDAY EVENING SUNSET

No wind in the pine trees, not raining, not snowing, temps at the freezing mark, and a thin cloud layer.  Yup, looked like an okay morning for an early Spring stroll along my country road walking spot.  Home, I was again on the end of my leaf rake and pitchfork.  Woodsy and I went for a walk in the Bayfield Cemetery this afternoon.  And, 'Bang-Zoom' another day behind us.

 SOON, LAST YEAR'S YELLOWED DITCH GRASS WILL BE REPLACED BY NEW AND VIBRANT GREEN SHOOTS

Mr. Smythe had been giving his second grade students a short lesson on science. He had explained about magnets and showed them how they would pick up nails and other bits of iron. And now it was question time...."Class," he said, "my name begins with the letter 'M,' and I pick up things....What am I?" A little boy on the front row said, "You're a Mother."

Our 15-year-old daughter, Melanie, had to write a report for school about World War II, specifically D-Day and the invasion of Normandy.  “Isn't there a movie about that?” she asked.  I told her there was, but I couldn't think of the name.  Then it came to her, “Oh, I remember! Isn't it something like ‘Finding Private Nemo'?”
