GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man walks past a beggar on the corner of the street where he works. The beggar holds out his hand, and the man drops a coin into it. One day, the man walks past the beggar again and notices the beggar is holding out both of his hands. He asks, "Why are you holding out both of your hands?" The beggar replied, "Business is going so well that I decided to open another branch."

Mr. Smythe had been giving his second grade students a short lesson on science. He had explained about magnets and showed them how they would pick up nails and other bits of iron. And now it was question time...."Class," he said, "my name begins with the letter 'M,' and I pick up things....What am I?" A little boy on the front row said, "You're a Mother."

Our 15-year-old daughter, Melanie, had to write a report for school about World War II, specifically D-Day and the invasion of Normandy. “Isn't there a movie about that?” she asked. I told her there was, but I couldn't think of the name. Then it came to her, “Oh, I remember! Isn't it something like ‘Finding Private Nemo'?”
