HAD THAT BEEN THE CASE I WOULD NOT HAVE VENTURED OUT

WEDNESDAY NIGHT'S SUNSET AT BAYFIELD'S PIONEER PARK
Thursday:: Not a whole lot going on again today, but I did check out my country walking road and found it finally clear of ice and snow.  Had it not been for the morning's icy cold wind, I would have stopped at my spot and headed down the road for a walk.  At least I got to drive along the road (Stirling Line) for the first time since probably last November.

Friday:: A big change in the weather, and we got clobbered by a snowstorm starting around 8 a.m. this morning, which continued off and on for the rest of the day.  I did head out for a wee drive this morning down to the end of Bayfield River Road and back.  Roads were a touch slippery under the heavy snow, and visibility wasn't the best, but at least the snow wasn't light and fluffy, which would have resulted in wind blown whiteout conditions.  Had that been the case, I would not have ventured out.   I think we had about two to three inches of wet snow which, according to tonight's 6 o'clock news, resulted in many vehicle accidents today.  Today's snowstorm is no surprise for this time of year.  We'll probably have a few more before Old Man Winter makes his final blustery exit for the season likely sometime in early April.

EVEN SAW A FEW COWS ALONG THE WAY
It was one year ago on March 14th, that my best buddy of nearly fifty years passed away.  It was a sad time when when I later found out, and it's still a sad time now when I think about it.  On March 20th of last year, I wrote a tribute (with photos) to Richard, which you can read here at, A Tribute To My Best Friend, Richard.  Often, on my morning drives, I think of him and all the great conversations we had over the years as we traveled around the local countryside with our Thursday morning coffee and muffins in hand,  And, I still think as I am driving along, 'Talk to me, Richard, talk to me'.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( One morning the phone rang at 3:00 a.m. in Jeff's house. He picked up the phone and a woman asked, "Is this 555-1111?" "No, this is 555-1112." Jeff replied. "Oh, I'm so sorry for disturbing you." The woman said. "That's alright," Jeff said. "I had to get up to answer the phone anyway."

Two monsters went to a Halloween party. Suddenly one said to the other, "A lady just rolled her eyes at me. What should I do?"
The other monster replied, "Be a gentleman and roll them back to her."

Little Johnny watched, fascinated, as his mother smoothed cold cream on her face. "Why do you do that, Mom?"
"To make myself beautiful," she answered. She then began to remove the cream with a tissue. "What's the matter?" Johnny started. "Giving up?"
