GROANER'S CORNER:(( A climber fell off a cliff, and as he tumbled down, he caught hold of a small branch wedged in the rock. "Help!! Is there anybody up there?" he shouted. A majestic voice boomed through the gorge: "I will help you, my son, but first you must have faith in me." "Yes, yes, I trust you!" cried the man. "Let go of the branch," boomed the voice. There was a long pause, and the man shouted up again, "Is there anyone else up there I could talk to?"

Just as a surgeon was finishing up an operation and was about to close, the patient awakes, sits up, and demands to know what is going on."I'm about to close," the surgeon says. The patient grabs the surgeon's hand and says, "I'm not going to let you do that! I'll close my own incision!" The doctor hands him the needle and thread and says, "Suture self."

During training exercises, a Lieutenant driving a jeep down a muddy back road encountered another jeep stuck in the mud with a red-faced Colonel at the wheel. "Your jeep stuck, sir?" asked the Lieutenant as he pulled alongside. "Nope," replied the Colonel, coming over and handing him the keys. "Yours is."
