After my Wednesday night walk, and with a coffee in hand from Clinton's Tim Hortons, my phone alerted me that in six minutes, the International Space Station would be overhead, heading from west to east. Minutes later, at my night sky spot, I stepped out of the car and looked to the west. Sure enough, there it was in the western sky to the right of the Planet Venus, headed my way. It took about a minute to pass over and disappear to the east. I remembered nights long ago at the old farmhouse near Fullarton, Ontario, when we would often see the ISS sailing silently through the stars. I had a program on our computer at the time that told us when the ISS was in our area, which direction it was coming from and going to, and the approximate length of time it would be visible.

| WEDNESDAY NIGHT'S MOON |
On my way to my walking road this morning I was startled when a treetop-flying airplane crossed the road right in front of me. I recognized it right away as a crop duster. Hurrying to my walking spot, I was able to snag a few photos of the plane working a field to the west out of my view. I wondered if it was the same plane and pilot I had seen a couple of summers ago in the area. I found the company's website online at that time and sent the owner some of the better photos I took. The owner emailed me back, thanked me for the photos, and said that it was his daughter flying the plane that morning. I wondered today if that might have been her again. Udate:: I think this was a different company based south of Lucan, Ontario. General Airspray ....... Following my walk, I slipped into Bayfield and got myself a much-needed haircut at the Bayfield Village Clippers. With it being the summer season, I was very fortunate to find a parking space along Main Street.

| OKAY, SO COMING HOME WITH MY SCHOOLBOY HAIRCUT, I HAD TO REACH UP AND RUFFLE IT UP SO THAT IT WOULD LOOK MORE LIKE ME IN THE PICTURE |
Home again, out came the hose, my car washing bucket, and vacuum cleaner. Yes, I was having a much better day than the last few days. I like it when my positive energy starts flowing again:))
I kinda got my pictures and paragraphs a wee bit out of order, so below are the airplane pics that should have been under the first paragraph.

As so often happens with this short-term memory of mine over these past years, I had forgotten to mention the sad passing of a fellow blogger and reader a few months ago. Marlene Klopfer from Marlene and Benno's Odessys On Land and Water sadly passed away several months ago. We never met Marlene and Benno, but Marlene would sometimes comment on my blog when I was following them in the refurbishing of an old boat, and she sounded like a very nice lady. They lived along the northern shores of Lake Erie, down around Leamington, Ontario somewhere. Thanks to long-time reader, Yankee Flyer , for jogging my mind about her passing.
Our weather has turned perfect again with warm (not hot) days, and cool (not cold) nights. If only we could hang onto these great weather days until next year at this time when we could again renew our desire for another year. |

Al's Music Box:: Boppin The Blues by Carl Perkins.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A husband and wife were driving down a country lane on their way to visit some friends. They came to a muddy patch in the road, and the car became bogged. After a few minutes of trying to get the car out by themselves, they saw a young farmer coming down the lane, driving some oxen before him. He stopped when he saw the couple in trouble and offered to pull the car out of the mud for $50. The husband accepted, and minutes later, the car was free. The farmer turned to the husband and said, "You know, you're the tenth car I've helped out of the mud today." The husband looks around at the fields, incredulously, and asks the farmer, "When do you have time to plough your fields? At night? "No," the young farmer replied, seriously. "Night is when I put the water in the hole."------------------------------
Johnathan asked his young son, 'Greg, do you think I’m a bad father?' 'My name is Andrew,' replied his son.
