YOU MIGHT FIND SOME NICE THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF THAT YOU HADN'T REALIZED YOU HAD

IT WAS NICE TO HAVE A COUPLE OF YOUNG ROBINS HANGING AROUND IN THE FRONT YARD THIS AFTERNOON
I had a feeling that my walking road wheatfield would be gone this morning when I got there...and it was.  The entire wheatfield had been harvested, with not a trace of the friendly little waving wheatheads left anywhere.  In their place were large round straw bales strewn about over the gently rolling field.  I was glad that I had said my final goodbye to the wheatfield yesterday morning upon leaving after my walk.  I'm the kind of guy who easily gets attached to things.  Like the wheatfield, the flowers alongside the road, the distant forest, and even the gravel road itself.  I have my stops to say 'good morning' to the Daisies, the Chicory flowers, Queen Anne's lace, the Purple Vetch flowers, the Mullein and Milkweed plants.  I say good morning to the Alfalfa field, the Alfalfa Bales, the blue sky and the clouds.  It's always a joy to start off my day, surrounded by so much beauty, and so many things to say, 'Good Morning' to.  We are all one in this Universe.  Try it sometime, and you might find some nice things about yourself that you hadn't realized you had.

MY OLD FRIEND THE WHEATFIELD IS NOW GONE AS SUMMER MARCHES STEADILY ON

HALF OF ANOTHER NEW UNIT ARRIVED IN OUR PARK THIS MORNING
IT'S ALWAYS NICE TO HEAR THE SPLASHING OF WATER AT THE PARK'S POND
With temps nearly 85F with a heavy humidity presence, it was not a day for me to be outside working away at anything, and when outside, I kinda had to move in slow motion so as to not work up a sticky sweat.  Spent some relaxing and enjoyable time sitting on the front porch with my camera in hand, snapping a few front-yard pics from my chair.

I ALWAYS NOTICE THE PATTERNS OF OUR FRONT YARD SUNBURST LOCUST TREE
AND HERE'S THE TWO FROG BUDDIES STILL HANGING OUT TOGETHER AT THE SIDE OF THE FROG POND
ENJOYED WATCHING THE ROBINS FLEXING THEIR YOUNG WINGS

THIS LITTLE FELLOW IS OKAY, IT'S JUST FLEXING ITS WINGS
 PRIMPING AND PREENING
NICE TO SEE A FLEETING SPLASH OF COLOR ON THE BIRD STATION
OF COURSE WE ALWAYS HAVE LOTS OF CHIPMUNK ENTERTAINMENT HERE
NO, THIS IS NOT MY FOOT

The Warmth Of The Sun by The Beach Boys.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A couple had two little mischievous boys, ages 8 and 10. They were always getting into trouble, and their parents knew that if any mischief occurred in their town, their sons would get the blame. The boys' mother heard that a clergyman in town had been successful in disciplining children, so she asked if he would speak with her boys. The clergyman agreed and asked to see them individually. So, the mother sent her 8-year-old first, in the morning, with the older boy to see the clergyman in the afternoon. The clergyman, a huge man with a booming voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly, “Where is God?” The boy's mouth dropped open, but he made no response, sitting there with his mouth hanging open. The clergyman repeated the question. “Where is God?” Again, the boy made no attempt to answer. So, the clergyman raised his voice some more and shook his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, “Where is God!?” The boy screamed and bolted from the room. He ran directly home and dove into his closet, slamming the door behind him. When his older brother found him in the closet, he asked, “What happened?” The younger brother, gasping for breath, replied: “We are in real BIG trouble this time! God is missing, and they think we did it!”

- "When I saw you driving down the road, I guessed 85 at least." "You're wrong, officer, it's only my hat that makes me look that old."

- My boss told me to have a good day, so i went home.

A zookeeper is ordering new animals. As he fills out the forms, he types “two mongeese”. That doesn’t look quite right, so he tries two mongoose, and then two mongooses. Giving up, he types, “One mongoose, and while you’re at it, send another one.”

The old man had died. A wonderful funeral was in progress, and the town’s preacher talked at length of the good traits of the deceased, what an honest man he was, and what a loving husband and kind father he was. Finally, the widow leaned over and whispered to one of her children, “Go up there and take a look in the coffin and see if that’s really your pa he's talkin' about.”

  1. Marilyn Struthers:You have some amazing photos of the birds and fun ones of the chipmonk. I love that the 2 frogs are still together. Like you I tell my garden flowers that I love them, that they are beautiful, and that I am thankful they bloomed. Remember that song "What Wonderful World" There really are so many beautiful things in our world.
