IT WAS AT THIS POINT THAT I CALLED ANDREW

Our warm-to-us temperatures continue to hold, and despite a brisk wind with a touch of rain in it, I was out and about this morning on my walking road wearing a light jacket instead of a winter coat.  Of course these bonus November days won't last, but I am both mentally and physically enjoying as many of them as I can while they are here.  I would say that about 90% of our tree leaves are now lying on the ground.  Oh there are a few little bursts of color here and there, but the trees are looking more Novemberesque with each passing day.

AREA FORESTS HAVE DONNED THEIR NOVEMBER COATS

A couple of evenings ago, it was Andrew to the rescue once again.  I had a two separate tech problem this time that I just couldn't figure out.  First, about a month ago, the sound quality on my YouTube channel began to faulter with it sounding garbled at times like it was being broadcast from underwater.  Not all the time, but enough to make it annoying.  The only way I could stop it was by pressing the pause button twice, and that would temporarily correct it, but as soon as the channel went to a commercial, the sound was garblen again.  Then, a few days ago, the sound volume and mute button on my Apple remote wouldn't work.  It was at this point that I called Andrew, and he came over.  It didn't take him long to get a handle on the two problems. It was like watching Sherlock Holmes sleuth out and methodically solve a mystery.  Searching his iPhone for answers and solutions, he soon tracked down a fix for the Apple remotes' volume and mute problem.  Press two buttons on the remote simultaneously and hold.  'Bingo', problem solved just like that.  The second problem with YouTube, however, turned out to be more perplexing, but once again Sherlock Andrew, using his phone again tracked the problem back to YouTube itself.  It wasn't my TV or my Apple Box.  He found out that a recent YouTube update probably had a bug in it, and other YouTubers were having the same problem.  There was nothing Andrew could do to fix the problem, but he showed me how to watch for YouTube updates that would hopefully solve the problem.  And guess what, when I turned on my YouTube channel the following day, the problem had been solved, and my YouTube sound quality was once again working perfectly.  All was right with the world again.  A big thank you to Andrew once again, and if you think my Sherlock reference to Andrew was applicable, it would be incorrect to think of me as Sherlock's Dr. Watson because every time he asked me a question about something, the only answer he could get out of me was, 'duh':((

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A Texan farmer goes to Australia for a vacation. There he meets an Aussie farmer and gets talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, "Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice as large". Then they walk around the ranch a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately says, " We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows". The conversation has, meanwhile, almost died when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asked, "And what are those"? The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, "Don't you have any grasshoppers in Texas"?

Arizona
YOU KNOW YOU'RE IN ARIZONA WHEN:

- You notice your car overheating before you drive it.

- You can say Hohokam and people don't think you're laughing funny.

- You no longer associate bridges (or rivers) with water.

- You see more irrigation water on the street than there is in the Salt River.

- You know a swamp cooler is not a happy hour drink.

- You can say 115 degrees without fainting.

- You can be in the snow, then drive for an hour and it will be over 100 degrees.

- You discover, in July, that it only takes two fingers to drive your car.

- You can make sun tea instantly.

- You run your air conditioner in the middle of winter so you can use your fireplace.

- You notice the best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.

- You realize that Valley Fever isn't a disco dance.

- Hotter water comes from the cold water tap than the hot one.

- You can pronounce the words: "Saguaro", "Tempe", "Gila Bend", "San Xavier", "Canyon de Chelly", "Mogollon Rim", "Cholla", and Tlaquepaque".

- It's noon in July, kids are on summer vacation, and not one person is moving on the streets.

- You actually burn your hand opening the car door.

- Sunscreen is sold year round, kept at the front of the checkout counter, a formula less than 30 spf is a joke, and you wear it just to go to Circle K.

- Some fool can market mini-misters for joggers and some other fools will actually buy them.

- Hot air balloons can't go up, because the air outside is hotter than the air inside the balloon.

- No one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car.

- You can understand the reason for a town named "Why."
