WOKE UP TO ANOTHER SNOWY MORNING
AND, WE HAVE A SNOWY BIRD’S NEST IN OUR SAGUARO
Soooo disappointing to wake up & see it snowing again this morning!!!! Temperature here…36F. Temperature back home in Bayfield…56F. Our Legacy Blue Flame heater has been running for 48 hours now & that is the longest we have ever had to have it on since we began our RV travels years ago. It’s just plum cold out & that’s all there is to it. And to think, just a few short days ago I was mumblin & grumblin about the hot 80F+ temperatures. Silly me!!!!
OUR GHOST TOWN ROAD DEAD ENDS AT THE OLD CONGRESS GOLD MINE
Cora’s condition hasn’t changed much. Talked to the Vet again & she suggested taking Motor to an animal hospital near Phoenix. She is thinking Motor’s problem may be her liver. Results came in this morning & she does not have Valley Fever. She is 15 years old & her age may be catching up with her. It’s a tough decision for us now but we were encouraged tonight when she showed interest in my hamburger & actually gobbled have a dozen little chunks just like her old self. We’ll see how she is tomorrow. Oh, & she definitely does not like Gatorade.
WE HAVE 2 DRIVEWAYS & THIS MARKER MARKS THE FIRST ONE
OUR FELLOW CANADIAN NEIGHBOR’S DRIVEWAY
Kelly’s still limping on her sore ankle & found out this afternoon she cannot push the clutch pedal in on the Jeep so looks like from here on in I will be driving Miss Kelly.
OUR BACKYARD
FRONT & SIDE YARDS
My painting started off this morning with George Benson’s ‘Sunrise.’ Nice start to the day. Picked up the painting pace a bit with Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Doors & Jimi Hendrix. Mellowed things out with JJ Cale, Johnny Rivers & Chris Rea. Finished up my painting spree with the fine 50’s styling's of none other than that great guitar picking western warbler himself, Hank Williams.
FRONT YARD AREA WHERE I HAVE BEEN PLANTING CACTUS
Tomorrow I will start on the kitchen cupboards. So far I am not totally satisfied with the kitchen wall color so am hoping to pull it out of the fire with some snappy cupboard colors. Back to the paint store in the morning. Hmmm, wonder about lime green with fuscia accents on a purple & orange black background. Ya right!!
ACROSS THE ROAD NEIGHBOR’S DRIVEWAY
NEIGHBOR IN DISTANT HOUSE RAISES LIZARDS…SNOW CAPPED FRONT YARD SAGUAROS
The septic tank guys came today & repaired the pipe problem. It was a $400 fix & Freddie Mac paid for that.
OUR SOUTHERN SIDE YARD
Took advantage of the soft wet ground & planted some more cactus today. The downside of soft wet ground is mud and boy are we ever in a mess here in the coach. Muddy shoes & muddy doggy paws. And it’s an oozy mud too. Not good!!
DISTANT HOUSE IS DIRECTLY BEHIND US AND IS OUR ALBERTA SNOWBIRD NEIGHBOR
Our Realtor phoned today saying we are very close to a closing date. Possibly Wednesday. We asked if we could go ahead & get a few people lined up for some work on the house & he said yes, go ahead.
VERY MUDDY AROUND OUR ARIZONA DIGS
We have a new Blog Follower today. Bob & Jo from HOW TO LOVE WHERE YOU ARE AND EAT WHERE THE LOCALS EAT joins the Bayfield Bunch as we work on our new Arizona digs & begin making plans for the long journey back to Ontario, Canada.
GROANER’S CORNER:(( There's one good thing about snow, it makes your lawn look as nice as your neighbor's.
