YEP WE WENT TO ELLA’S HOUSE TODAY
With it being Kelly’s birthday today all three of us piled into the Jeep about 8:35 this morning and headed for Kitchener Ontario. Kelly’s youngest daughter had invited us over for her Mom’s birthday. It was also Rebecca’s husband Ricardo’s birthday Sunday. And besides, Kelly was itching to see her Granddaughter Ella who she hadn’t seen since before Christmas.

‘HOW ABOUT SOME DOGGY KISSES ON YOUR BIRTHDAY MOM’

ELLA CHECKS OUT HER NEW HAT AND HAIR CURLERS

‘GOT ANY DOGGY TREATS FOR ME THERE MOM’
The drive to Kitchener brought back a lot of memories for me and I could not remember the last time I had ever been in Kitchener. Lived there for a few years in the late 60’s and early 70’s, had friends there I visited periodically over the years and traveled through Kitchener countless times between Goderich, Stratford, and Toronto for a whole bunch of years with my Stratford Airporter job. But what I did remember was the back roads on how to get there quickly so it wasn’t long before we arrived at our destination in Kitchener’s west end.

ELLA WASN’T THE ONLY ONE WITH A NEW ONE OF A KIND HAT AS HER MOM REBECCA TRIES HERS ON AS WELL….WHEN KELLY BOUGHT HERS SHE LIKED IT SO MUCH SHE GOT ONE FOR REBECCA AND ELLA TOO

‘WHERE’S MY HAT MOM??’

BY THE LOOKS OF RICARDO’S HEAD OVER THERE i THINK HE WAS THE ONE REALLY NEEDING ONE OF THOSE WARM WINTER HAND MADE HATS THE MOST

ELLA MADE PHEEBS A BED ON THE FLOOR

PHEEBS IS MORE INTERESTED IN THAT CARROT ELLA IS HOLDING THAN THE BED ON THE FLOOR

I hadn’t been to Rebecca and Ricardo’s house which they purchased last summer so I got the grand tour and shared in their ‘first home’ excitement. Ella was happy to see Gramma and soon the colored gift wrapping was flying as Ella received a bunch of presents Kelly had brought her. And then it was Kelly’s turn. After all she was the Birthday girl:))

PIZZA PARTY:)))))

MOTHER AND DAUGHTER SHARING A LAUGH

THE LONG DRESS SABRA IS HOLDING WAS ONCE HERS AS A YOUNG GIRL AND KELLY STILL HAD IT SO BROUGHT IF OVER FOR ELLA

Three yummy Pizzas showed up at the door around 11:30. Sabra, one of Kelly’s two twin daughters arrived shortly after that and it wasn’t long before we were all into the birthday cake. Ella and Pheebs had a good time as well as the rest of us. Not being late people anymore we said our good-byes about 2:30 and were soon on the road making fast tracks for home. Despite the cold windy overcast day the roads were bare and dry and because of it being a Good Friday holiday there was very little traffic anywhere. Bonus.

IT’S KELLY’S TURN TO OPEN HER PRESENTS

ELLA PICKED OUT THE CARD AND GIFTS HERSELF

AND ONE OF THE GIFTS ELLA PICKED OUT WAS THIS LITTLE GARDEN GNOME WITH A LANTERN THAT LIGHTS UP AT NIGHT

Thanks everybody for all those thoughtful birthday wishes for Kelly because I know she really appreciated that. You all are da best:))

YABBA-DABBA-DOOO HERE COMES THE BIRTHDAY CAKE

GROANER’S CORNER:(( Paddy was trapped in a bog and seemed a goner when Big Mike O'Reilly wandered by. "Help!" Paddy shouted, "I'm sinkin'!" Don't worry," assured Mike. "Next to the Strong Muldoon, I'm the strongest man in Erin, and I'll pull ye right out o' there." Mick leaned out and grabbed Paddy's hand and pulled and pulled to no avail. After two more unsuccessful attempts, Mike said to Paddy, "I can't do it. The Strong Muldoon could do it alone, maybe, but I'll have to get me some help." As Mike was leaving, Paddy called "Mike! Mike! D'ya think it will help if I pull me feet out of the stirrups?"
