YES I MIGHT HAVE DONE THAT ALRIGHT

 A BAYFIELD LAKESIDE COTTAGE
Sunshine this morning, what more can I say.  Took myself for a drive into and around Bayfield.  I think the temperature was hanging around 10F this morning.  Surprisingly enough, Scooter started right up when I tried it later.  The problem doesn't seem to be in it starting as much as it is in me forgetting to turn it off later once it's running.  Years ago I once let our first Class A motorhome run for nearly 5 hours when I toodled off on my motorcycle.  This morning it was about half an hour when Kelly reminded me the rig was still running.  Had she not done that I would probably have looked out about 6 o'clock tonight and seeing lights shining I would have thought it was morning and the Sun was coming up.  Yes, I might have done that alright:((

IT'S DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD IDEA TO BE WALKING OUT THERE!!
With the exception of climbing into the Jeep, Pheebs is doing fine.  She's as exuberant and happy as ever.  Nothing wrong with her vision because she can still spot and chase squirrels with no problem.  She doesn't hear as well but she's not deaf.  We see no signs of stiff or hurting joints but we have put her on Glycoflex Plus because of her age.  She shows no signs of being in any kind of pain.  She does not like to be picked up and if I try she squats flat on the ground.  She's about 55 pounds and that is too heavy to be picked up without hurting her.  We'll be glad when Covid restrictions are removed because right now at our Vet Clinic we are not allowed inside.  If someone brings in their pet they have to stay out in the parking lot while a staff member comes out and takes their pet inside for an examination.  Then, the pet is returned and a phone call follows with the results of the exam.  Neither Kelly or I are in favor of this.  Thanks to readers for your concern and informative advice regarding our dearest Pheebs.  We take all suggestions to heart.

OH THE JOYS OF LIVING IN THESE NORTHERN LATITUDES AT THIS TIME OF YEAR
I don't know if anyone is interested, knows, or even cares about the James Webb telescope launched into space by the United States back on Christmas day but if you are interested here is a 'live sight' link to exactly where that telescope is at the moment and where it is going.  Thanks to reader Barb way out there in that British Columbia place for bringing this site to my attention.  It's on my desktop now.  Webb Space Telescope.  And if there is anyone interested in Astronomy, here is another link Barb sent.....Every Visible Star in the Night Sky, in One Map.  This map is in High Resolution.  Looking at it, many of the stars and constellation names are familiar to me.

IT FELT SO COLD TODAY EVEN SOME OF THE BUILDINGS TURNED BLUE
SEEN IN OUR PARK THIS MORNING
Finished my latest book called The Three Waves of Volunteers and the New Earth.  This was a tough book for me to get through but get through it I did.  Today I began Legacy From The Stars.  I like things that take my mind outside the box because in this case, it is leading to many 'light bulb moments' for me.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A little boy went to the store with his grandmother and on the way home, he was looking at the things she had purchased. He found a package of panty hose and began to sound out the words "QUEEN SIZE".  He then turned to his grandmother and exclaimed, "Look Granny, YOU wear the same size as our bed sheets!"

A genie granted me one wish, so I said, "I just want to be happy."  Now I'm living in a cottage with 6 dwarves and working in a mine.

THIS MORNING I STAYED HOME AND IT WASN'T BECAUSE OF THE WEATHER

 MOURNING DOVE
No Jeep ride for Pheebs and I this morning but it wasn't because of the weather.  For the second morning in a row, I could not get Pheebs into the Jeep.  She was excited and wanted to go but couldn't bring herself to either jump up into the Jeep or come up the ramp.  Both Kelly and I repeatedly tried to entice her into the Jeep with treats but it was a no-go.  She wants to get in but she's fearful.  She must have hurt herself the last couple of times getting in although I didn't notice.  So, if we can't figure out a comfortable solution for her it looks like our morning Jeep rides together may have finally come to an end.  Wednesday morning after trying to get her in I finally ended up leaving without her.  Well, that didn't go so swell and I was home fifteen minutes later.  It's just not the same without my best Pal in the passenger seat.  So now it's either I go out in the morning without her or I stay home.  This morning I stayed home.

BY GOLLY HERE SHE COMES NOW BOUNDING THROUGH THE SNOW TODAY

Kelly had some things to mail at the Bayfield post office and because the weather began deteriorating I decided to drive her there in the Jeep.  We again tried to get Pheebs to go but she just couldn't make herself get into the Jeep.  Ramp or no ramp.  So, for the first time in years, Pheebs stayed home alone while Kelly and I slipped into Bayfield and back.

The snow has been steady all day and I was out twice with my snow shovel keeping my paths clear.  And especially to the birdfeeders where the whole gang of flying feathers is wolfing down seeds like there's no tomorrow.

Ever noticed how time seems to be flying by?  I have and other people I've talked to have said the same thing.  Maybe people have always said that.  Or, maybe time has in fact speeded up and really is moving faster.  Consider the following statement I came across recently......'Time is actually speeding up.  For thousands of years, the Schumann Resonance or pulse (heartbeat) of Earth has been 7.83 cycles per second.  The military has used this as a very reliable reference.  However, since 1980 this resonance has been slowly rising.  It is now over 12 cycles per second.  This means there is the equivalent of less than 16 hours per day instead of the old 24 hours.  One of the indications that the frequency and vibration are occurring is the speeding up and shortening of time'...........  Say, ya don't suppose there could be something to all that do ya......????

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A guy goes to a girl's house for the first time, and she shows him into the living room. She excuses herself to go to the kitchen to make them a few drinks, and as he's standing there alone, he notices a cute little vase on the mantel. He picks it up, and as he's looking at it, she walks back in.  He says "What's this?"  She says, "Oh, my father's ashes are in there."  He says, "Jeez...oooh....I..."  She says, "Yeah, he's too lazy to go to the kitchen to get an ashtray."

I GUESS WE COULD CALL THIS OUR ONE DAY JANUARY THAW

AT OUR PARK'S ENTRANCE LOOKING EAST DOWN BAYFIELD RIVER ROAD
No sunshine today so with photos left over from Tuesday, I didn't bother taking any this morning.  It was a dull grey uninspiring day anyway so with that, I will leave you with a few more sunny morning Park pictures from yesterday.

OUR PARK'S POND IS TO THE LEFT
OUR NEIGHBOR MONICA'S HOUSE CAN BE SEEN TOP RIGHT
WE EVEN HAVE A FROZEN GHOST IN THE PARK
We did hear this morning that our Park's sale is still on and set to take place at the 'end' of February.  Years ago this one hundred-acre property our Park is located on was farmland.  In fact, a barn silo still stands near the pond.  When the farm was sold, much of the hundred acres was planted with pine trees in a reforestation project.  The property was again sold with the new owner being a Mr. Morgan from Clinton Ontario and he is the one who developed this property into the mobile home Park it is today.  In time, he sold the Park to its present owners, Marie and Ken Hughes.  Fast forward a whole bunch of years to now.....We've heard it is the grandchildren of the Park's original owner, Mr. Morgan who is now supposedly buying the Park.  Morgans Roofing company is well known in the Clinton area.  So, we'll wait and see what happens..........

BY GOLLY THERE'S MONICA'S PLACE AGAIN
Our temperature zoomed up to a sweltering 36F today so I guess we will have to consider this one day as our January thaw.  Thursday temps are forecasted to plunge back down to 14F.  I did try starting our little Winnebago this morning and it fired right up with no problem.  Good stuff:))

GROANER'S CORNER:((  Walking through a supermarket, a young man noticed an old lady following him around. He ignored her for a while, but when he got to the checkout line, she got in front of him.  “Pardon me,” she said. “I’m sorry if I’ve been staring, but you look just like my son who died recently.  “I’m sorry for your loss,” the young man replied. “Is there anything I can do for you?”  “Well, as I’m leaving, could you just say ‘Goodbye, mother!?’ It would make me feel so much better.” She gave him a sweet smile.  “Of course I can,” the young man promised.  As she gathered her bags and left, he called out “Goodbye, mother!” just as she had requested, feeling good about her smile.  Stepping up to the counter, he saw that his total was about $100 higher than it should be. “That amount is wrong,” he said. “I only have a few items!”  “Oh, your mother said that you would pay for her,” explained the clerk.
