AND THAT'S A 'YOWSER WOWSER'

'HEY DAD, WHERE DID THE SUNNY WARM SUMMER WEATHER GO'??
Rain's all gone but the morning's gusty winds drove our 61F temperatures down into the low 50s somewhere and that did not make for a nice warm cloudless sunny summer morn.  With Pheebs window down I had to crank up Subie's heater as we took a cruise into Bayfield and back.  Winds had whipped up Lake Huron's waters and that had brought out some young folks with their surf boards.
I THINK THAT MIGHT BE A GOPRO CAMERA ON HIS HEAD
I DON'T KNOW WHETHER THAT IS A HE OR A SHE
WHATEVER IT IS THERE IT GOES
Needless to say, I spent the rest of the day inside.  Not because of the heat for a change but because of the cold windy day.  I even fired up our sunroom's gas stove to take the chill off.  Besides, it was a good opportunity the make sure the stove is functioning correctly before the colder weather begins to make it's way into our neck of the woods soon.  Skies began clearing this afternoon shortly after 4 p.m.  And that's a 'Yowser Wowser':))
MORNING WALKERS ON BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET
OLDER FOLKS ON THE RIGHT ENJOYING A COFFEE WITH YOUNGER FOLKS ON THE LEFT DOING SOME BROWSING
WHILE PHEEBS AND I WERE STICKING CLOSE TO SUBIE'S HEATER I SAW A NUMBER OF PEOPLE OUT IN SHORTS, TANK TOPS, AND BARE LEGS.....Brrrrr
Facebook threw me a memory post today that led me to another post I wrote on July 31rst 2010.  Re-reading that post I remembered the kind comments on my last night's post.  I thought maybe folks might be interested in knowing how this blog of mine got started way back in 2006.  Keep in mind if you read it, that I wrote the post over 13 years ago it's a bit long, repeptitive, and could use a re-write, but my thoughts are still the same today...... Blog Evolution...'And So It Grows'

WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THE BAYFIELD GARAGE YET SO I GUESS LIBBY IS SPENDING THE WEEK-END AT THE GARAGE
Al's Music Box:)) If Your Going To San Francisco by Scott McKenzie was released as a single in 1967.  John Phillips from the Mamas & The Pappas wrote the song and played guitar on it.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  During the cold winter a family was preparing to go out for an evening activity. The wife, who was normally bustling about getting the children ready to leave, was this evening instead standing right inside the front door, her arms full of coats.  And instead of being prepared to leave, her four small children were busy running circles around her playing one of their non-stop games of tag.  Her husband, coming down the stairs, was shocked at the spectacle.  “Honey,” he said, “What are you doing just standing there? We'll be late!”  “Here,” his wife replied, handing him the coats with a smug smile, “I thought that this time you would like to have the privilege of putting the children into their coats, while I go and honk the horn.”

A man died and his wife phoned the newspaper to place an obituary. She called the obituary department and said, "This is what I want to print: Bernie is dead." The man at the newspaper said, "But for $25 you are allowed to print six words." The woman answered, "OK. Then print: Bernie is dead. Toyota for sale."

IT IS NOT SOMETHING I TAKE FOR GRANTED

How is it possible for these perfect summer mornings to get any more perfecter.  I think this morning had to be the most perfectist one of all:))

BLUE SKIES AND LOTS OF SUNSHINE
APPLE TREE BRANCHES ARE BECOMING HEAVY WITH APPLES
RIPENING APPLES ARE ALWAYS A SURE SIGN OF AUTUMN'S APPROACH

 DOGGY IN A BEANFIELD
Pheebs and I slipped into Bayfield following our usual route.  Not too much going on course but Bayfield is always a nice little community village to cruise through checking out whatever.  Saw the Jeep had been moved up close to a bay at the Bayfield Garage.  I thought to myself that when the mechanic first opened the Jeep door he must have throught, "OMG this guy must use his Jeep to take the hogs to market"!!  Between Pheebs and I, that Jeep interior gets a little serious at times.

OUR JEEP AT THE BAYFIELD GARAGE THIS MORNING
THURDAY MORNING OUTDOORS COFFEE KLATCH AT THE SHOPBIKE COFFEE ROASTERS ON BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET

It was fine morning for a slow country road drive southeast of Bayfield to the small Linfield Conservation area on Pavilion Road.  I am usually able to find a few photos along the hedgerow here and this morning was no exception.

MOST OF THIS MORNING'S PHOTOS WERE TAKEN HERE WALKING ALONG A WIDE PATHWAY BETWEEN THAT HEDGROW AND THE BEANFIELD
After the Conservation area we slowly wandered our way home the long way taking in a few more scenic country roads along the way.  How fortunate I again thought to myself this morning that Pheebs and I have had all these wonderful mornings together over the years.  And, how fortunate in many aspects I have been in these past number of decades.  It is not something I take for granted.

A FEW YELLOW CORN STALK LEAVES ARE BEGINNING TO APPEAR
OOPS, I THINK MOTHEER NATURE DID A LITTLE OVERWATERING HERE
A FEW VERY EARLY TOUCHES OF AUTUMN COLOR
Our morning sunshine gave way to cloudy skies and steady rains as a fast moving storm front came ashore at 3 o'clock.  Temperatures dropped and wind gusts became stronger before the whole thing petered out an hour later.  BUT, then the second half of the storm hit packing big winds gusts, pounding rain, thunder and lightning.  Wished I had thought to move the Subaru out of the carport for a free wash.  By 7:15 the storm was finished with us and headed East blustering it's way inland.

 A NICE CLUSTER OF APPLES
AND IT IS THE TIME OF SEASON FOR GOLDENROD

Al's Music Box:)) Love's Theme by the Love Unlimited Orchestra from the album,'Rhapsody In White'.  1974

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A man walks into a store and he saw a thermos. The clerk walks up to him and asks, "May I help you with anything?"  "Yea! What is that?"  "Why that's a thermos!"  "What's it do?"  "It keeps things hot and it keeps things cold!"  "I'll take it"  The next day the man goes to work carrying this thermos. His co-workers ask him, "What's that!"  "It's a thermos"  "What's it do?"  "It keeps things hot and it keeps things cold!"  "So whatcha got in it?"  "Two popsicles and a cup of coffee."

When I was a boy, I had a disease that required me to eat dirt three times a day in order to survive.  It's a good thing my older brother told me about it.
