AND A GREAT BIG THANK YOU TO MOTHER NATURE FOR THAT

SO NICE TO SEE SUNSHINE IN OUR FRONT YARD AND HEAR THE SOUNDS OF MELTING SNOW AND ICE OFF OUR ROOF
With a number of stops in Goderich and not knowing how long I might be tied up at each stop, Subie and I headed off leaving Pheebs at home to guard the fort.  First stop was McD's for a coffee to go with my second stop being, the frozen Goderich harbor.  After a few pics I was off to ContinuIT where I dropped off my laptop computer that had suddenly gone dark on me last week.  Without Kelly here now to troubleshoot and solve problems, I had no choice but to take it to a computer repair place.  From there it was over to Bell Telephone to deal with a bill payment confusement.  The CIBC bank was next followed by the Scotia Bank.  And then back to Bell again before heading out to Goderich's east end for a treat of bacon and eggs at A&W.  Pet Value was next for some doggy food and I followed that up with a stop at Walmart before finally heading home.  Not my favorite way to spend a morning (except for the bacon & eggs) but some things had to be taken care of so that's what I did.  I had a very happy little doggy waiting for when I arrived home.  She was even happier when I pulled a snack out of my coat pocket from A&W.

A WEE BIT OF GROUND DRIFTING ON MY WAY TO GODERICH BUT IT WAS OKAY
BECAUSE OF THE HEAVY SNOW LOAD THE ROAD OUT TO ROTARY COVE WAS CLOSED

Despite a biting cold east wind, how nice it was to see the Sun pop out by early afternoon and even nicer yet, how GREAT to see snow melting and running off our roof on the south side:)))))  At 36F it felt almost tropical and I soon headed outside to partake in the feeling better air.  Although the snow was heavy I moved some of it around and chopped up some softened ice on the front deck.  It was just great to be outside doing something productive.  I know we have more snowstorms and brutally cold weather ahead but at least today was a nice little teaser for better days in another month or so.  And a great big thank you to Mother Nature for that.

ON THE USUAL ROUTE I TAKE TO GODERICH I CROSS THE SAME RAIL LINE FOUR TIMES AND HERE IS A RAILROAD MACHINE CLEARING SNOW AT ONE OF THOSE FOUR CROSSINGS

GROANER'S CORNER:(( One night at the dinner table, the wife commented, 'When we were first married, you took the small piece of steak and gave me the larger. Now you take the large one and leave me the smaller.  Don't you love me anymore?'  'Nonsense, darling,' replied the husband, 'you just cook better now.'

A man was giving a speech at his lodge meeting. He got a bit carried away and talked for two hours. Finally, he realized what he had done and said, "I'm sorry I talked so long. I left my watch at home."  A voice from the back of the room replied, "There's a calendar behind you..."

I SHOULD NOT HAVE DONE THAT:(((

 SOUTHWESTERN ONTARIO'S 'HURON COUNTY MOUNTAINS'
I did a double-take when I looked at our outside thermometer this morning.  It was actually up to the freezing mark of 32F.  Encouraged, I looked at the 14-day forecast.  I should not have done that:(((  Pheebs and I slipped into Bayfield, grabbed a coffee to go at Hortons, and ambled out southeast of Bayfield heading south on the Bronson Line.  I just needed to get out of the house for a while and spend some time in the calming countryside with my best furry little Pal by my side listening to soothing ambient music.  On our way home I stopped at the Bayfield carwash and gave Subie a hosing down.  My afternoon consisted of shoveling snow, doing laundry, and gathering paperwork together for income tax time.  The only photos I took today were two fellas ice fishing and the rest are from Saturday morning's drive northeast of our Park.

HEY CLYDE YA BETTER GO CHECK ON BUBBA CAUSE I HEARD A SPLASH OVER THERE

GROANER'S CORNER:(( An American and a Japanese were sitting on the plane on the way to LA When the American turned to the Japanese and asked, "What kind of -ese are you?"  The Japanese confused, replied, "Sorry but I don't understand what you mean."  The American repeated, "What kind of -ese are you?"  Again, the Japanese was confused over he question.  The American, now irritated, then yelled, "What kind of -ese are you.... Are you a Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese!, etc......??? "  The Japanese then replied, "Oh, I am a Japanese."  A while later the Japanese turned to the American and asked What kind Of 'key' was he.  The American, frustrated, yelled, "What do you mean what kind of -kee'am I?!"  The Japanese said, "Are you a Yankee, donkee, or monkee?"

Two drunks are walking along. One drunk says to the other, "What a beautiful night. Look at that moon!"  The other drunk stops and looks at his drunk friend. "You are wrong. That's not the moon; that's the sun!"  Both continued arguing for a while when they came upon another drunk walking along. So they stopped him and said, "Sir, could you please help settle our argument? Tell us what that thing is up in the sky that's shining. Is it the moon or the sun?"  The third drunk looked at the sky and then looked at them and said, "Sorry, I don't live around here."
