I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!

Can you imagine my huge disappointment last night when shortly after posting my blog, I donned my coat and headed out the door to have a look at the night sky.....and, it was SNOWING!!!!  'Whaaaaaaaaa'.  I was not a happy camper!!!!!

STEPPING OUT THE DOOR MONDAY NIGHT I WAS GREETED BY SNOW!!

It was a big huge extra effort to even get myself out the door this morning, but running low on birdseed, I headed off to the Porter's Hill Wild Bird Seed Company for a couple of 20-pound bags of 'Deluxe Mix'.  Now, that's not enough to keep the feathery fellows and furry ground critters going till Christmas, but it should get them through at least the next three weeks or so.  It's easy to tell that my 'feeding of our little front yard friends' has become quite an obsession with me over the years.  I may have to sell the house to buy more birdseed........

Despite the cloudy, cold 25F temps with a windchill factor of 15F, I was determined not to sit in the house, so out the door I went and headed into the metal shed.  At least I was out of the wind there, and I could continue with the shed's Spring clean-up.  Burnt up some stuff in the fire pit, moved some large empty storage bins, and rearranged things in general.  The shed's interior looked much better when I walked out as opposed to when I walked into the shed a short hour before.  It was about 1:30 this afternoon when outside moving some rocks around, I saw the first glimmer of sunshine.  Skies began clearing, and my spirits began rising.  Both mental and physical energy levels began flowing again, and I soon had myself on the end of my wheelbarrow, moving more rocks around.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( You are on a horse, galloping at a constant speed. On your right side is a sharp drop off, and on your left side is an elephant traveling at the same speed as you. Directly in front of you is another galloping horse, but your horse is unable to overtake it. Behind you is a lion running at the same speed as you, and the horse in front of you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? Get your drunk ass off the merry-go-round!

Why are frogs always so happy? They eat whatever bugs them

Q: Why do the French eat snails? A: They don't like fast food.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide!!

Q: What's the difference between a guitar and a fish? A: You can tune a guitar, but you can't tuna fish.

A boy with a monkey on his shoulder was walking down the road when he passed a policeman who said, "Now, now young lad, I think you had better take that monkey the zoo." The next day, the boy was walking down the road with the monkey on his shoulder again, when he passed the same policeman. The policeman said, "Hey there, I thought I told you to take that money to the zoo!" The boy answered, "I did! Today I'm taking him to the cinema."

ALL BY MYSELF WITH MY MUSIC AND MY THOUGHTS

SEEN ON MY WAY HOME FROM MY COUNTRY ROAD WALKING SPOT THIS MORNING
With 3 consecutive nights of well below freezing temps upon us, I slipped underneath our unit Sunday afternoon and turned off the water again.  Better to be safe than sorry.  Encouraged by a fiery sunrise, blue sunny skies, and dressed warmly, I headed out straightaway to my country road walking spot this morning.  Nice to get the legs moving again.  'Hello bush, hello gravel road, hello fields, hello big blue sky, hello old barn, etc.  Oh, and hello seagulls.

I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE ON MY WALKING ROAD EARLIER TODAY
A NICE CROP OF SPRING GREEN I'D SAY
 A FLOTILLA OF DUCKS

LOOKS LIKE THEY WERE HAVING THEMSELVES A BIT OF A DUCK SCRAMBLE OUT THERE
ALL IS OKAY, AND OFF THEY GO
Home again, I didn't waste any time getting to a number of little outside Spring projects I have going on, and I kept the pedal to the metal all day.  I absolutely wore myself out, but it was okay.  I love to be out and about this time of year doing things.  Lorraine headed back to Stratford for a few days, so now I can have as many peanut butter sammiches as I like.  Skies remained mostly clear all day, and at the time of posting this tonight, it is still sunny.  As soon as it is dark enough, I will head out in the Subaru to my quiet night spot on Towerline Road and haul out my binoculars.  The air is clear at 38F, and with no Moon in the night sky, the myriad of twinkling stars will look like tiny diamonds.  I so much look forward to my nocturnal excursions out into the countryside.  It's one of my very much most favoritest things to do.  All by myself with my music and my thoughts:))
I PUT THIS LATTICE WORK UP ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO, BUT IT'S GETTING OLD, AND THE WOOD IS ROTTING, SO I THINK I'LL TAKE IT ALL DOWN SHORTLY AND OPEN THIS AREA UP

YOU CAN SEE HERE HOW THINGS HAVE BECOME OVERGROWN
IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO CUT THIS OLD FALLING APART WOODEN BARREL FREE FROM AL THE VINES

I TILLED THIS AREAIN THE BACK YARD AND SEEDED IT
OUT FRONT BY THE ROAD, I RAN THE ROTOTILLER THROUGH A LOT OF PARRIWINKLE IN AN EFFORT TO CLEAN THIS AREA UP AND READY IT FOR SOME NEW IDEAS
THE PROBLEM WITH TILLING AN AREA LIKE THAT IS ALL THE ROOTS THAT GET ENTANGLED IN THE ROTOTILLER BLADES AND IT TAKES ME FOREVER TO GET THEM ALL  CUT OUT
WHEN I FINISH RAKING OUT THIS FRONT YARD AREA I WILL ALSO PLANT GRASS SEED HERE

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really angry. She told him, "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!" The next morning, he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough, there was a gift-wrapped box in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Bob has been missing since Friday.

Q: Why couldn't the leopard play hide and seek? A: Because he was always spotted.

Q: What starts with E, ends with E, and has only 1 letter in it? A: Envelope.

Q: Can February march? A: No, but April may.

If you want to know who is really man’s best friend, put your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car, come back an hour later, open the trunk, and see which one is happy to see you.
