AND, THAT WAS ABOUT IT

A FEW PHOTOS AROUND OUR PARK THIS MORNING
Not much going on today, folks.  Cleaned out some weed trees behind the carport, and that was about it.  Better days ahead, they tell me.

I SEE A SESAME STREET CHARACTER HERE
THE LATEST NEW UNIT TO ARRIVE IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SET UP
AND A FEW PICS FROM THE UNINHABITED SOUTH END OF THE PARK

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Before performing a baptism, the priest approached the young father and said solemnly, "Baptism is a serious step. Are you prepared for it?" "I think so," the man replied. "My wife has made appetizers, and we have a caterer coming to provide plenty of cookies and cakes for all of our guests." "I don't mean that," the priest responded. "I mean, are you prepared spiritually?"  "Oh, sure," came the reply. "I picked up a couple cases of beer and a bottle of whiskey too.

A tired traveler decided to find a hotel for the night. He stumbled to the front desk and said to the clerk, “Pardon me, I’m exhausted. I’ve been driving for fourteen hours; I’m hungry, and I have a headache. Can you just tell me what room I’m in?”
“Certainly, sir,” the helpful clerk replied. “You are in the lobby.”

Johnny: Daddy, are caterpillars good to eat?
Father: Have I not told you never to mention such things during meals!
Mother: Why did you say that, Junior? Why did you ask that question?
Johnny: It's because I saw one on Daddy's lettuce, but now it's gone.

HOW NICE TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE DOORS AND WINDOWS OPEN

AN iPHONE PHOTO OF SUNDAY NIGHT'S SUNSET FROM MY WALKING ROAD
Turned out to be another superb weather day, and how nice to be able to leave windows and doors open and let all that cooler, fresh late-summer air blow through.

A LABOR DAY MONDAY MORNING ON BAYFIELD'S SOUTH PIER
I DIDN'T KNOW BAYFIELD HAD A SMALL RESCUE BOAT BASED HERE
SAW THIS BLUE DINOSAUR-LOOKING THING GO PAST THE HOUSE THIS AFTERNOON
.

THE MACHINE TRUNDLED INTO A NEIGHBOR'S DRIVEWAY AND BEGAN MUNCHING ON SOME TREES...ACTUALLY, THAT IS A RECENTLY PURCHASED BOOM LIFT THAT WILL BE A GREAT ASSET TO THE PARK BY HANDLING THE NEVER-ENDING TREE MAINTENANCE

THAT FELLOW IN THE BUCKET LOOKS KINDA FAMILIAR
BY GOLLY, IT'S PARK OWNER ADAM HIMSELF IN THE BUCKET, AND HE'S TRIMMING SOME TREES TO CLEAR A PATH FOR A SATELLITE SIGNAL
Several readers have inquired about 'Old Lonesome', a horse on Porter's Hill Line that I would sometimes take pictures of as I went by.  I haven't seen Old Lonesome for a while, and this morning on my way back from Goderich, I went by especially slow, but didn't see him.  His pasture is totally overgrown with weeds, especially goldenrod.

THIS BOAT NAMED TRIUMPH WAS ANCHORED JUST OFF GODERICH'S MAIN BEACH THIS MORNING, AND IT'S FROM PORT DOVER ON LAKE ERIE
WITH LAKE HURON BEING SO CALM TODAY, IT WAS IDEAL FOR PADDLE BOARDING
CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE THIS LITTLE FELLOW'S HAPPY EXCITEMENT

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A guy in Paris steals several paintings from the Louvre Museum. But after he gets them out past security, his van runs out of gas two blocks away from the museum and he gets caught. The police ask how he could mastermind such a complex crime and then make such a moronic error. The thief replies, "I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the van Gogh."

A man says to his friend: "My wife's credit card got stolen last week." "That's a shame," says the friend. "Have you told the police?" "No way," says the man: "the thief is spending less than she did!

Did you hear about the very intelligent monster? He was called Frank Einstein.

A Few Church Bloopers::
- The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which the choir will sing, "Break Forth Into Joy."

- A songfest was hell at the Methodist church Wednesday.

- Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our church and community.

- The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church basement Friday at 7 PM. The Congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.

- Thursday night Potluck Supper. Prayer and medication to follow.

The teacher noticed that Johnny had been daydreaming for a long time. She decided to get his attention."Johnny," she said, "If the world is 25,000 miles around and eggs are sixty cents a dozen, how old am I? "Thirty-four," Johnny answered unhesitatingly. The teacher replied, "Well, that's not far from my actual age. Tell me...how did you guess?" Oh, there's nothing to it," Johnny said. "My big sister is seventeen, and she's only half-crazy."
