WELL GUESS WHAT.....IT'S TEA TIME AGAIN.....AND IS IT EVER

EARLY SPRING SNOWDROPS ALONGSIDE OLD LOG STEPS IN THE FOREST
I don't know how many times I've said 'all our snow has melted' but here I am saying it again.  Guess it was just one of those up and down temperature winters.
THESE WOOLY SHEEP ARE RIGHT ROUND THE CORNER FROM OUR PARK
WITH THE SHEEP ARE A COUPLE LLAMAS
WOOLY SHEEPS
THESE TWO LITTLE GUYS HAVE ALREADY LOST THEIR WOOLY COATS
It was a drive up to Goderich for Pheebs and I with a stop on the way home for a forest walk on Kitchigami Road.  Nice to see greenery emerging from the forest floor.  A few skiffles of melting snow, muddy trails, and a brief touch of sunlight in the tree tops.
IT WAS A SPOOKY LOOKING FOREST WE WALKED IN THIS MORNING

SO NICE TO SEE THESE FOREST FERNS
Home shortly after 10 I'd hoped to get a few more outside things done but found my energy levels depleted so retired to my recliner and settled in with Kindle reader.  Supposed to be sunny on Wednesday so I'm hoping to re-charge my batteries then.  I'm sure looking forward to some warmer air.
A BRIEF TOUCH OF SUNLIGHT ON THE PINE TREES CANOPY

Heard some machines rumbling about somewhere outside so looked out to see a couple tree cutters moving into position to take down the remainder of large pine tree that had been partially topped off last October.  I can now finally plant a couple cedar trees I had bought late last year in the spot where the big pine tree came out.  I like planting landscape things like shrubs and trees:))
ON OUR AFTERNOON WALK THIS TINY PATCH OF SNOW LOWER LEFT WAS ALL WE COULD FIND
Well, I'm back on tea again.  A Gal in our Park is a tea afficienado who blends her own teas and wondered it I'd like to try some of her masterful concoctiouns.  Sure why not I thought so she dropped me off a decades worth of assorted tea samples Monday.
HERE'S MY TEA STASH:))
I've already tried the 'Honey Lemon Breezy' which made me kinda wheezy.  I'm joking of course but I did like it.  I have yet to try 'Dark Chocolate Chai' oh my.  'Strawberry Fields' should last me 'Forever' and 'Summer Pear' may be quite a dare.  I hope 'Sawadee White' don't get me tight.  Might have to wait for Christmas to try "Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride' and with 'Lavender Oolong' how can I go wrong.  'Mocha Latte' should make my day.  I hear White Cinnamon Sage' is all the rage and 'Pink Lady Epicure' is gonna do me for sure.  I have a hunch 'Nutty Granola Crunch' will fix me up right after lunch.  'Ginger Bread Cookie' and Spiced Ginger Plum' mix em together and Yum Yum Yum.  I'm sure with a cup of 'Caramel Nougat ' I'll soon be getting me a big fat cat.  'Peachy Lychee' may have me up in the night for a, well you know.  I hope 'Apple Mango Sangria' doesn't give me, well you know again.  Geeezzz, I had better not mix 'Peachy Lychee' and 'Apple Mango Sangria' or I could find myself in quite a fix.  Well these are just a few of the samples Shannon brought over for me and I do intend to try every one of them.  Yessireeee I sure gots lots of tea.  Say, that reminds me......Did ya hear about the old Indian Chief who sat up all night drinking tea?  Yep, they found him in the morning drowned in his own Tee-Pee:))  Thanks Shannon:))
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A sailor meets a pirate in a bar, and take turns boasting of their adventures on the high seas. The sailor notes that the pirate has a peg-leg, hook, and an eyepatch. The sailor asks "So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?"The pirate replies "We were in a storm at sea, and I was swept overboard into a school of sharks. Just as my men were pulling me out a shark bit my leg off.""Wow!" said the sailor. "What about your hook"?"Well...", replied the pirate, "While my men and I were plundering in the middle east, I was caught stealing from a merchant and the punishment for theft in the middle east is the loss of the hand that steals""Incredible!" remarked the sailor. "How did you get the eyepatch"?"A sea gull dropping fell into my eye.", replied the pirate."You lost your eye to a sea gull dropping?" the sailor asked incredulously."Well...", said the pirate, "..it was my first day with the hook."

WE CONTINUE TO USE SOME 'GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE'

THIS DUTCH WINDMILL IS LOCATED ABOUT A MILE EAST OF OUR PARK
As expected we woke up to a white wintery world this morning and for awhile the snow just kept coming down.  It was looking very Christmasy outside and whenever that happens I hear Johnny Mathis in my head singing Sleigh Ride.  The bright side of course is that we knew today's snow wouldn't last with temps due to rise well above freezing today.  Glad this is March and not November.  And.....I have gone and taken waaaaay too many photos again today so I will include a few here in the post and the rest in a photo album entitled, Overnight Snowfall.  Hope you go over and take a look.
A SNOWY WET START TO OUR DAY
Needing milk, bananas, and a few other things I debated where to go.  Walmart in Goderich or Foodland in Bayfield.  Decided Foodland was the logical choice so off Pheebs and I went.  Only 2 cars in the parking lot and 3 customers in the store.  Didn't see anybody running around like a chicken with it's head cut off panic buying.  Shelves were well stocked with only a few small bare spaces here and there.

IF YOU CAN'T GET TO A WASHROOM HAVE A WASHROOM BROUGHT TO YOU
Roads were wet and slushy with a mixture of snow and rain in the air.  Not wanting to turn around a go right home after the supermarket we ventured out east of Bayfield taking a few photos here and there along the way.  It was so nice to be out enjoying this morning's pretty winter like scenery.  We were home again sometime before ten.
Nothing like a snowfall to bring birds in clamoring for space at the bird feeder.  Blue Jays, Mourning Doves, Cardinals, and 3 different types of Woodpeckers.  Grackles and Dark Eyed Juncos were also there along with Black Cap Chickadees.  On the ground representing the furry guys were Black Squirrels, Bunny Rabbits, and Chipmunks.  Even Little Red made an appearance and made off with half a cob of corn.
In regards to 'saving the rock' at Goderich's Rotary Cove dog walking area (Monday's post) I sent Art's Landscaping an email asking if they could save that rock.  They emailed back saying it was out of their hands and to contact the Goderich Works department directly so that's what Kelly did this morning by sending my email to several different Goderich Works departments.  Hopefully it gets to the right person and that marbled rock is spared.  Probably won't know until I can get back down to that area at some point in the future.
WE HAVE 3 LITTLE BUNNIES IN OUR FRONT YARD AND THEY ARE SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH AS THEY PLAY AND SCAMPER AROUND
Although we only had maybe an inch of snow which was melting anyway I still put on my winter boots for our afternoon walk because of the snow, water, and mud.  Bit of mist in the air which sometimes happens with slightly warmer air meeting colder snow.  Nice to see Ducks and Geese still on our Park's pond.
AFTERNOON WALK
PREENING TIME
We are still keeping ourselves updated with the Covid-19 dilemma and doing what is suggested by 'the people who know what they are talking about'.  We are also leaning heavily on our own common sense as well.  Frustrating to see how many are simply flipping the whole thing off as a lark or accusing others of over re-acting.  And then of course there are those individuals in the younger generation with the 'party-on Dude' attitude.  Aww yes, the naivety of youth that so many of us went through ourselves and remember well.  I still sometimes have to shake my head and ask myself, 'how could I have been so dumb'!!
ENTRANCE TO OUR FIVE SEASONS PARK
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A well-worn one dollar bill and a similarly distressed twenty dollar bill arrived at a Federal Reserve Bank to be retired. As they moved along the conveyor belt to be burned, they struck up a conversation. The twenty dollar bill reminisced about its travels all over the county. "I've had a pretty good life," the twenty proclaimed. "Why I've been to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the finest restaurants in New York, performances on Broadway, and even a cruise to the Caribbean."  "Wow!" said the one dollar bill. "You've really had an exciting life!" "So tell me," says the twenty, "where have you been throughout your lifetime?"  The one dollar bill replies, "Oh, I've been to the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Lutheran Church ..." The twenty dollar bill interrupts, "What's a church?"

- Doctor, Doctor I think I'm a bell?  Take these and if it doesn't help give me a ring!
-  Doctor, Doctor I think I'm suffering from Deja Vu!  Didn't I see you yesterday?
-  Doctor, how do I stop my nose from running?!  Stick your foot out and trip it up!

When my son graduated from high school, he had to give a speech. He began by reading from his prepared text.  'I want to talk about my mother and the wonderful influence she has had on my life,' he told the audience. 'She is a shining example of parenthood, and I love her more than words could ever do justice.'  At this point he seemed to struggle for words.  After a pause, he looked up with a sly grin and said, 'Sorry, but it's really hard to read my mother's handwriting.'

'WHAT THE HECK' NO MORE FREE CORN COBS......THE FIELD JUST GOT HARVESTED

AREA TURKEY VULTURES ARE BACK FOR ANOTHER SEASON
Very few vehicles out and about this morning and even fewer humans around but did notice the busiest place in Bayfield appeared to be the Foodland Supermarket.  Beautiful blue skies overhead but still bitterly cold with winds from the northeast again.
BAYFIELD'S LAKE ICE HAS ALL BUT DISAPPEARED AGAIN
HOWEVER THAT NORTH PIER SNOW MONSTER JUST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER
WELL THAT JEEP SURE IS ORANGE ALRIGHT AND I LIKE THE COLORFUL SUMMERY BANNER BELOW
Imagine my surprise this morning when I decided  to pick up a few more corn cobs at a nearby unharvested corn field when I found the whole field had just been harvested.  'What"!!  Well, I guess I learned something about farming that I didn't know before.  Autumns corn can be harvested in the Spring.  I thought for sure the corn crop was lost and would be plowed under but must admit I did wonder at the good condition of the dozen or so cobs I had previously picked.  'Oh Dear' I thought, now I will be looked upon as a lowly corn cob thief:((  Shades of Lemongate I'd say.  Older readers might get that one...…..
'WHAT THE HECK'.....WHERE DID ALL THE CORN COBS GO??
PATCHES OF SNOW CAN STILL BE FOUND ALONG AREA ROAD DITCHES
HOPE THERE ISN'T A SASKWATCH LIVING IN THERE
A COUPLE WILD TURKEYS IN A FAR OFF FIELD
TURKEY VULTURE
THE HIGHLAND CATTLE FURRY FACE GANG WAS OUT AGAIN TODAY
Home from our morning Jeep ride I soon slipped out the door to work away on some outside projects but was driven back inside by the cold.  I don't function well in very hot or very cold temperatures anymore.  Ya I know, I am such a Pansy.
HEY THAT'S LITTLE CHIPPY THE CHIPMUNK OUT THERE NEAR OUR FRONT DECK GNAWING ON A CORN COB

Keeping an eye on the thermometer I noticed by 2 o'clock we had edged up to 36F so Pheebs and I hit the forest trail.  Sun felt warm and the wind driven air felt cold.  Monday's forecast is for snow overnight.  Nice to see ducks and geese on the Park's pond.  Heard a Killdeer this morning and noticed Turkey Vultures back for another season.
A PAIR OF MALLARD DUCKS ON OUR PARK'S POND
GROANER'S CORNER:((  A friend and I were standing in line at a fast-food restaurant, waiting to place our order.  There was a big sign posted. "No bills larger than $20 will be accepted." The woman in front of us, pointing to the sign, remarked, "Believe me, if I HAD a bill larger than $20, I wouldn't be eating here."
---------------------------------
Husband: “Call 911 quick, I think I’m having a heart attack!“  The wife picked up his cell phone to call. She said, “Give me your password!” Husband: "Never mind, I’m feeling much better now."
