CHECKING OUT THE HOUSE & PROPERTY FOR SALE ON GHOST TOWN ROAD AGAIN TODAY
One word describes our morning…"Brrrrrr”!!!!  An icy wind kept us in our winter clothes & shortened our walk.  Warmer days ahead they say:))

KELLY SEARCHES FOR A PROPERTY LINE FENCE ON THE SEVERED SECTION OF PROPERTY
We’re still working on the (For Sale) Ghost Town Road property & Kelly was able to obtain enough information from the Real Estate company this morning to dig deeper & obtain further info. Between telephone calls to the local County Office & additional searching on the internet she was able to gather the facts about previous owners, property lines, taxes etc.  We probably now have more info than the Real Estate company does about the property.  Here’s the problem in a nutshell.  Original property size was just under an acre but the owner severed nearly half of it making the sale of the house totally impractical.  Both the house property & the severed property are now in foreclosure.  Unless a deal can be reached re-attaching the severed piece of property back to it’s original state & restore the nearly 1 acre, we are not interested in proceeding any further .

THESE ARE THE SEVERED SECTIONS THAT MUST BE RESTORED TO THE ORIGINAL PROPERTY
The Jeep was needing some gas & I was needing some more Cranberry Juice so after picking that stuff up in Congress we took another drive out Ghost Town Road to look at the house & property for sale again.  If we decide to buy it we will certainly have our work cut out for us when we return in the Fall.  I do welcome the creative challenge of yet another landscape & big clean up project because I am at my best when constructively & creatively engaged:))

YEP, THE POTENTIAL OF TURNING THIS INTO A REAL FINE PIECE OF PROPERTY IS DEFINITELY HERE
While finishing up the above paragraph this afternoon….our Real Estate guy phoned.  We have a meeting scheduled with him Friday morning at 10:30 in Prescott.  We’ll see what happens………

AND, IT’S ON A PAVED ROAD TOO
Headed ourselves on over to MIKE & PAT'S place at North Ranch about 4 this afternoon.  Got to meet their good friends Larry & Geri from up around that South Dakota way.  They had owned a very successful RV & Horse camp up there around the town of Custer & are now retired traveling full time in their fifth wheel.

MIKE’S WORKING ON SOME CAMERA ANGLES
Pat rustled Kelly, Mike & I up some some tasty Buffalo Burgers for supper along with a yummy creamed cauliflower kind of dish with some fancy fixins on top.  Kelly contributed some great baked beans & we all managed to fill ourselves up right proper.  Strawberries & ice cream for dessert & how great is that:))

Pat & Mike are truly a nice couple of caring people.  I don’t seem to warm up as fast to people as I did years ago but Mike & Pat have that warmth about them that makes me feel at ease & comfortable.  Thanks for having us dusty desert dwellers over guys:))

PAT & MIKE’S DIGS AT NORTH RANCH
We sure weren’t long in cranking the Jeeps heater up when we left.  The temps had really plummeted & we had a cold clear desert night going on.  Just as we got to the BLM gate we saw the full moon coming out from behind a cloud & watched it slowly rise as we drove through some grazing, but sleepy looking cows to our campsite.

I am happy Chinle over at SPOTTED DOG RANCH has started posting again.  She has a nice easy flowing writing style & I like the way she prioritizes the well being of her animal world.  An outdoors person, Chinle strikes me as an intellectual person packing a great attitude.  She has also authored several books.  And, she just happens to live in one of my favorite scenic States of all, Utah.  To be more specific, southeast Utah.  Maybe, with a little encouragement, we can get Chinle posting on a regular basis again:))

TONIGHT’S SUNSET AT NORTH RANCH’S ENTRANCE WAY
GROANER’S CORNER:((  Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother' s house.
Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.
When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.
"Johnny wait until we say our prayer."
"I don't have to," The boy replied.
"Of course, you do," his mother insisted. "We say a prayer, before eating, at our house."
"That's our house," Johnny explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."

MR. BLABBERFINGERS IS ON THE EVE OF HIS 5,000TH BLOG POST

A FEMALE AND MALE CARDINAL ARRIVING AT THE BIRD STATION AT THE SAME TIME
Waking up this morning I could feel the last vestiges of dizziness had finally dissipated and I was once again back up and running on all seven cylinders.  No easy feat some days I can assure you.

IS THIS BLUE JAY COMING OR GOING??  WELL, HE'S GOING AND THAT RED SMUDGE IS A MALE CARDINAL SITTING IN A NEARBY CEDAR TREE
 TWO FEMALE CARDINALS
 LIFT-OFF
It's almost as if each of these winter days are in competition with each other to see which one can be the coldest.  Minus 3F when we woke up this morning.  Will this weather nonsense ever end!!!!

A LITTLE GAME OF FOLLOW THE LEADER
THIS MALE CARDINAL IS IN STEALTH MODE COMING FAST TO THE BIRD STATION
A FLURRY OF BLUE JAY FEATHERS
I tussled with myself trying to decide whether to take the Jeep for a drive or not this morning.  I finally decided, not.  Scooter surprised me again by starting right up with no problem so I let it run for a while.  Why it never started that one time a couple of months ago is now a mystery to me.  Although cold outside, it was a nice-looking sunshiny day.

MALE CARDINAL HEADING FOR THE CEDAR TREES
Kelly spotted a gaggle of Crows on the bird station first thing this morning so that explains why we are going through so much birdseed.  Well, crows gotta eat too.  We're probably going to have to sell some of our furniture just to buy more birdseed.

A friend (yes, I do have a few) sent me an article about a ghost town of 8 people being sold in Arizona.  The name of the town is Cleator and this is the link she sent, Arizona Ghost Town.  The name Cleator rang a distant bell in my memory so I rolled out my Google Map airplane, typed in Cleator, and flew myself on down to Arizona.  As soon as I saw the town's location was in the Bradshaw Mountains I had a feeling we had been to Cleator.  In my blog's archives, I quickly tracked down the day we had driven through that little Ghost Town.  It was March 7th, 2014.  And, here is that day, Jeep Rumble In The Bradshaw Mountains.  The Cleator photos begin with the 12th photo from the end of the post.  You can see both the General Store and Bar as I snapped a few photos driving by them.  Had this been back in my old drinking days I would surely have stopped into that bar for sure.  As a side note.....there were 8 of us in 4 Jeep wranglers on this rough and rocky trip.  Our friends, Jim and Bev organized the Jeep rumble that day.  Sadly, Bev passed away a few years ago.  She can be seen in the photos with short hair, dark top, and jeans.  She is also the one seen holding a bottle of wine.

SUNRISE AT OUR HOUSE THIS MORNING

According to Google Analytics, this post of mine today is number 4,999 and Sunday's post will of course be the 5,000th blog post I have written.  It's no wonder they call me Mr. Blabberfingers.  Of course, all those posts are stretched out over the past 16 years so maybe I'm not so blabbery after all.  Let's say I averaged 12 photos per post.  Hmmmm, that would be about 65,000 photos I've published. (I'm no good at math so that number might be way off) Oh dear, that makes me weary so I think I had better go lie down for a while and have a rest...........

CARDINAL LANDING AND MOURNING DOVE TAKING OFF
GROANER'S CORNER:((  The first-grade teacher was showing pictures of animals to her students to see how many they could name. She held up a picture of a lamb, and a little girl said, "That's a sheep!"  "That's right!" said the teacher. "How about THIS one?" she said, holding up a picture of the king of beasts.  "That's a lion!" answered a little boy.  "Right!" said the teacher. Then she held up a picture of a deer. No one volunteered an answer. She tried to help. "What does your mother call your father?"  Johnny said, "I know! That's a lazy old goat!"
