Not even a wind turbine blade moving in our morning’s still air as Pheebs and I wandered ourselves up through Amish/Mennonite country hoping to maybe see some horses and hay wagons in the fields. Maybe a touch too early yet as I didn’t see any fields cut or stooked. Maybe next week sometime we’ll slip back on up that way again.
LUCKILY I WAS ONLY DOING MY USUAL 20 MPH WHEN I CAME OVER THE LIP OF SMALL NOLL AND SAW THIS ON THE ROAD IN FRONT OF ME
QUICKLY ROLLING TO A STOP I WATCHED THIS GIGGLING GAGGLE OF GEESE LEISURELY TAKE THEIR TIME MOVING OFF THE ROAD…..NOTICE THE KILLDEER
VERY SLOWLY THEY MAKE THEIR WAY TO A BIG POND RIGHT BESIDE THE ROAD
OF COURSE WITH ALL THAT GIGGLE GAGGLING GOING ON SOME WENT ONE WAY WHILE OTHERS DIDN’T
A RATHER HEATED DEBATE DEVELOPED IN WHICH THE TEEN-AGERS OF THE GROUP HAD THEIR SAY
OF COURSE THAT ONLY CAUSED MORE CONFUSEMENT
OK, OK, LETS GO BACK THIS WAY
AAAAHHHH THE POND AT LAST
At this time of year it’s important to get out and about early while morning’s air is still cool. Again by 9 I could feel the day’s heat and humidity building but instead of cranking on the A/C we were again able to sail along nicely with all windows down. We were home by 11 but had we stayed out any longer we would have had to wind up the windows and crack on some Arctic air. Much cooler temps this coming week and I will sure be glad to see this hot sticky weather out of here even if it’s only temporary.
I’M GUESSING THERE MAY HAVE BEEN 2 IF NOT 3 FAMILIES HERE
THIS POND IS LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF SHARPES CREEK LINE BETWEEN GOLF COURSE ROAD AND BLYTH ROAD….RIGHT NEXT TO A BIG MESSY COUNTRY JUNK YARD
BYE BYE YOU BIG GIGGLING GANG OF GOOSE GUYS
It seems with this ongoing aging process energy is becoming an increasingly elusive thing to find these days. I have projects needing done but am not finding the much sought after energy needed as of late to complete them or even start them in some cases. Once taken for granted of course energy has now become about as scarce as Hen’s teeth. Much harder to find and much less readily accessible than it once was. It seems spurts of energy are becoming fewer and farther between with the duration of those spurts becoming even shorter as well Disconcerting of course but maybe it is just a temporary thing and I will soon be back to full power multi-tasking this and that once again without enough hours left in the days. Oh how I well remember those times not so long ago…………………..
WELL, WHAT’S THIS THEN!!
A MALE MALLARD DUCK OF COURSE BUT CAN YOU FIND THE TURTLE?? I DIDN’T SEE IT UNTIL I EDITED THE PHOTO
GROANER’S CORNER:(( A visitor from Holland was chatting with his American friend and was jokingly explaining about the red, white and blue in the Netherlands flag. "Our flag symbolizes our taxes," he said. "We get red when we talk about them, white when we get our tax bill, and blue after we pay them." "That's the same with us," the American said, "only we see stars, too."
