SECOND RADIATION TREATMENT BEHIND ME BUT A PREVIOUS PROBLEM HAS RETURNED:((

OUR FRONT YARD JUNGLE??  NOPE JUST A SUMAC TREE NEAR THE PARK'S POND
About as poor a night's sleep as I've ever had.  The mind worries about not getting up in time so keeps itself half awake checking the clock about 300 times an hour.  Needless to say I was on my feet by 5 a.m. and into the shower.  My day had officially started 2 hours before that.  Wanting to be at London's Victoria Hospital cancer clinic on the early side I left home at 6 a.m.  Pitch black out but that was Okay I don't mind driving in the dark.
LOOKING WEST UP OUR STREET THIS AFTERNOON
Light traffic all the way but a bit heavier in London and certainly nothing to complain about.  Decided to count the traffic lights between our house and Victoria hospital.  There are 24 with 22 of them being within London's city limits.  Arrived at the hospital at 7:20 with the big advantage being lots of parking spots that early in the morning.  I was one hour early for my appointment.  Checked in, drank my required 400ml of water (one small water bottle) made myself comfortable in the central waiting room and read my Kindle till 8:10 whereupon I relocated to the radiation department's small waiting room.  Different area this time and my name was called right on time at 8:25.  Different machine and 2 different technicians.  Instead of the overhead view being May apple blossoms this room's light box showed Lilacs.  Nothing new I can tell you about the treatment as the machine whirred and rotated around me for about 10 minutes.  Instead of watching every thing this time I closed my eyes and slipped into a light state of semi-doze.  Something bumped my leg and it was the attendant saying the treatment was over and I was free to go so go I did went.  First stop was the Cancer Clinics Tim Horton coffee shop just a few steps away.  A coffee and muffin to go please.  It was my first coffee of the day and first thing to eat.  Traffic again was easy heading north up Adelaide Street.  Thought to myself how lucky I was not having to deal with the traffic chaos of Toronto, Montreal, or any other large city.  Less than twenty minutes from leaving the hospital I was once again out into the beautiful early morning countryside and with a different pre-planned route today I stayed in the countryside all the way home.  I like when that happens.
TIM HORTONS COFFEE SHOP TOP RIGHT AND MY CHECK-IN DESK TOP LEFT
Arrived home at 10:15 and headed straightaway for my living room recliner.  Very tired and not feeling the best which I attributed to my poor night's sleep.  My constant running to the washroom has been back the last couple days and that may be one of the radiation side effects.  My next treatment is Wednesday afternoon and following the treatment I have a scheduled meeting with Doctor Mendez my Oncologist.  I will ask him at that time about my urinary problem going away for 5 days then resuming after my first radiation treatment.  And it's a bit worse today after my second treatment.  Hope one of those radiation beams didn't bounce off my prostate then ricochete off a lower rib and rebound down through my bladder or bladder tube.  Yikes!!  No interest in food tonight except I fixed myself up a bowl of porridge and that worked for me.  Oft times if I'm not feeling well porridge is my magic elixir.  Anyway, other than that there isn't much new.
A SHAFT OF EVENING SUNLIGHT SLIPS THROUGH OUR TALL PINE TREES AND ALIGHTS SOFTLY ON ONE OF OUR AZALEA PLANTS
Did manage a short walk this afternoon with Pheebs and scratched up a few photos.  Maybe the little Spoogers and I can find a few more pics in the morning.  Over and Out...……. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:

A tom cat and a tabby cat were courting on a back fence at night.  The tom leaned over to the tabby with pent up passion and purred... "I'll die for you".  The tabby gazed at him from under lowered eye lids and asked, "How many times?".

MONDAY MORNING WILL BE AN EARLY START FOR ME

One of the many things I like so much about traveling and boondocking in New Mexico, Arizona, and California during the winter months are the nightly wide open unobstructed night skies with their twinkling diamond like stars from mountain top to mountain top.  Every step outside is a step out into the Universe with it's panoramic overhead views.  We have that same Universe over us here in Bayfield but stepping outside I can't see it for trees unless I make the effort to drive a few minutes away from our Park into the open countryside.  Seems like such an easy thing to do and it is but it's not the same as stepping out your door and looking up and I miss that from the days we lived at the old Weenie Roast Ranch when I would spend long periods of time at night gazing up at the stars and learning where all the constellations were and all their names.  Pheebs and I did drive out into the countryside Saturday night but the rising Moon was already too far up and it's light blotted out most of the night sky.  I did manage one Moon shot anyway.  Oh how I miss those Southwestern night skies and my nocturnal times outside at the old farm house near Fullarton, Ontario.

With a sky full of ominous clouds this morning Pheebs and I headed out following a few brief sun splashes down the road.  Before we reached Goderich those small patches of sun were gone and we had our windshield wipers going.  That pretty much ended any further thoughts of the forest walk I had been considering.  A quick swing down around the beach and harbor areas, a few groceries and we were headed back home in the pouring rain.  An hour later we were under sunny skies.
A NICE SEMI- SUNNY START TO OUR DAY
I'VE ALWAYS LIKED THIS COZY LITTLE HOUSE AND PROPERTY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

MINUTES AFTER TAKING THIS CORN FIELD PHOTO I HAD THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS GOING
RAINING IN GODERICH AS WELL AS ON THE WAY HOME BELOW
EVEN THESE WOOLY SHEEP WERE FEELING THE RAIN
A big leaning pine tree had to be taken down at our neighbor's house over the past couple days so there's a big mess there and I was able to get a wee bit of it cleaned up this afternoon.  Machines can only do so much then it's up to somebody with a wheelbarrow, pitchfork, a couple rakes, a pair of clippers and a Swede saw to finish up the small stuff.  Machines cleaning up a mess can themselves sometimes create an even bigger mess...……...

I will be up with the chickens and on my way to London Monday morning for an 8:25 appointment with the radiation machine.  I plan to be there early so I'll take my Kindle with me.  I much prefer reading something of interest to me rather than the usual assortment of boring magazines found in most every waiting room on the Planet.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I've noticed the strangest thing about men who hang out in bars a lot.  It seems they have only one of two reasons to be there: They have no wife to go home to... or they do.
------------------
1. Does a clean house indicate that there is a broken computer in it?
2. Why is it that no matter what color of bubble bath you use the bubbles are always white?
3. Is there ever a day that mattresses are not on sale?'
4. Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?
5. On electric toasters, why do they engrave the message “one slice?” How many pieces of bread do they think people are really gonna try to stuff in that slot?
6. Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance?
7. Why is it that no plastic garbage bag will open from the end you first try?
8. How do those dead bugs get into those closed light fixtures?
9. Considering all the lint you get in your dryer, if you kept drying your clothes would they eventually just disappear?
10. When we are in the supermarket and someone rams our ankle with a shopping cart then apologizes for doing so, why do we say, “It's all right?” Well, it isn't all right so why don't we say, “That hurt, you stupid idiot?”
11. Why is it that whenever you attempt to catch something that's falling off the table you always manage to knock something else over?
12. Is it true that the only difference between a yard sale and a trash pickup is how close to the road the stuff is placed? 13. In winter why do we try to keep the house as warm as it was in summer when we complained about the heat?
14. How come you never hear father-in-law jokes?
15. If at first you don't succeed, shouldn't you try doing it like your wife told you to do it? And obviously if at first you don't succeed, then don't take up sky diving!
16. The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends, if they're okay, then it's you.

MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR IS NOW UPON US

An early morning cloud cover began breaking up about mid morning leaving us with bright blue sunny skies for the rest of the afternoon.  Just a gorgeous day with warm sunlight and cooling breeze off the lake.  No humidity or bugs in the air so Pheebs and I did manage an enjoyable walk this morning.  It was a fine September day to be outside and I spent myself some enjoyable time this afternoon out and about in the yard with my clippers.

HEADING FOR THE BARN AND MORNING CHORES
There were two things I forgot to mention about my radiation procedure early Friday afternoon.  After getting me comfortably aligned with the radiation machine and before he left the room the technician asked me what music I would like to listen too during the procedure.  Before I could answer he clicked on some good old Rock and Roll.  Had he not done so I would have said 'anything' except Opera, Rap, or Church music.  Also forgot to mention while laying on my back looking up there was a large light box in the ceiling with a photo of May apple blossoms against a dark blue sky.  If you look at the photo I took of the radiation machine Friday you can see that large light box on the ceiling.  I thought both the music and large soothing photo were nice thoughtful touches.  And as always the staff were very friendly and informative.

Holy Smokes we are half way through September.  Can you believe it!!??  Geezzzzz at this rate Spring will be here in no time.

If I've mentioned it once in my blog over the years I have mentioned it a hundred times.  This is my absolute very much most favorite time of the year now from mid September to mid October before the weather begins it's inevitable decline into the nasty cold bleakness of winter.  So nice to be out walking in the countryside now with no bugs and no humidity.  With the Sun slipping further into the southern hemisphere our shortening days take on the softer hues and colors of approaching Autumn.  A peaceful calm descends upon the land each year at this time and I love that feeling Mother Nature freely hands out and asks for nothing in return except to simply enjoy what she has to offer........……
GROANER'S CORNER:((  The husband and wife were playing on the ninth green when she collapsed from a heart attack. "Please dear, I need help." she said. The husband ran off saying "I'll go get some help." A little while later he returned, picked up his club and began to line up his shot on the green. His wife, on the ground, raised up her head and said, "I may be dying and you're putting?" "Don't worry dear. I found a doctor on the second hole who said he would come and help." "The second hole???  When the hell is he coming???" "Hey! I told ya not to worry, everyone's already agreed to let him play through."
