To the delight of all plant life and farmers as well, gentle rains came in the night ushering in a calm morning. Not a breeze stirring, not a hint of stormy weather. All was well and good for the start of another weekday morning. Although it be cloudy and cool we be good to go.

Needing a few things in Goderich we pointed the Jeep's nose north and off we went. Gas, coffee to go at McD's, and down to the harbor. Still work going on down there so we couldn't go far but did notice they are working on the new boardwalk which, if it goes all the way out to Rotary Cove might have to be thought of as 'the cement walk.' From the harbor area, we headed east popping into Walmart and Canadian Tire before heading next door to the Maitland Cemetery.

If one drives into the Maitland Cemetery and stays to the right all the way through they will come to a trailhead at the back of the cemetery and that's where Pheebs and I started our walk this morning under rapidly clearing skies. Again, just as the day before it was a perfect walking day. Cool breeze, warming Sun, and no bugs in the air as we made our way merrily along the pathways. Not a soul did we see. Some days are just so much better than others:))

Home again close to 11 a.m. I busied myself with some serious puttering. Got another cedar tree planted. As the Sun climbed higher in the sky it soon became too hot for me and I retreated inside for a cool shower, some cool air, and a short rest.

I could hear heavy machines working somewhere back in the forest so Pheebs and I later took us for a walk back there for a look-see. Big bulldozer moving a lot of dirt in the area 'my tree' once stood. There is a steep ravine there with a creek at the bottom and they are working at putting a culvert in then building up a lot of earth to support a road that will cross the ravine and link up with another new road. We the residents are all still in the dark as to the eventual outcome of all this but I think it is safe to say we will soon see much of our remaining forest cleared to make room for new housing.

I truly feel like I am on the very brink of being a truly official 'Septuagenarian' today after Kelly asked me if maybe it would be a good idea to get myself a pill organizer. Me, a guy who has resisted pills for the majority of his life needing a pill organizer?? Well, I guess I have to finally and reluctantly face it. A pill for my arthritis, a pill for my cholesterol, one for my diabetes, and another one concerning my prostate. And then there are my Vitamin pills each day. B12, Calcium, Vits C&D3, Wild Salmon, and Glucosamine. A bit of a handful alright but I figure the only way to blunt my official 'Septuagenarian' status is to resist the need for a pill organizer. And resist I will do. Well, at least for now that is...…...

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A young guy was driving home after a football game, and got caught in a really bad hailstorm. Her car was covered with dents, so the next day he took it to a repair shop. The shop owner saw that she was young and naive, so he decided to have some fun. He told him just to go home and blow into the tailpipe really hard, and all the dents would pop out. So, the guy went home, got down on his hands and knees and started blowing into his car's tailpipe. Nothing happened. He blew a little harder, and still nothing happened. His roommate, another wet behind the ears young guy, came home and said, "What are you doing?" The first guy told him how the repairman had instructed him to blow into the tailpipe in order to get all the dents to pop out. His roommate rolled his eyes and said, "HELLLLO" "You need to roll up the windows first."--------------------
It was very crowded and noisy in this Restaurant and this lady asks the waiter where the restroom was. He says: "I can't hear you!" So she gets close to his ear and asks again: "Can you please tell me where the ladies room is?" And he replies: "On the other side!" So she turns around and gets close to his other ear, and asks: "Can you please tell me where the ladies room is, please!"
