DOORS OF INTEREST I DIDN'T KNOW WERE THERE BEFORE

MOURNING DOVE
It was a fog-shrouded morning we woke up to this morning and it was a quick mini-run into Bayfield and back for Pheebs and I.  Richard picked me up at 9 and we were off for another of our semi-monthly coffee runs.  Coffee and muffins to go at Clinton's Tim Horton coffee shop as our travels took us east from there over to and around the Seaforth area.  Fog all the way but as usual our minds were constructively clear:))

A FOGGY BAYFIELD HARBOR MORNING

Home by 11:30 I can't really say much about the rest of the day.  Despite our milder 45F temps it still felt cold and damp outside to me so of course you know what I did for the rest of the day which of course was basically a repeat of the day before and the day before that, and.........

Most of my interest these gray November days has been focused on reading. With an open mind all the way through I finished a book called Return From Tomorrow about a young soldier, George C Ritchie who, after being twice declared dead by a Doctor came back to life 9 minutes later.  It is his story about what he saw, where he went, who he went with, and how he felt in those 9 minutes.  Normally, I would have been skeptical about this book but having come across related subject matter in the last 4 books I have read regarding UFOs, Extraterrestrials, and Encounters I have been able to find a definite connection in what I thought were originally two different and unrelated subject matters.   I am now reading Anne and Whitley Streiber's book The Afterlife Revolution which along with the other books is beginning to tie a few long-held loose ends together for me.  When I came across Whitely Streiber's words, 'But there is something much greater, more extraordinary and far stranger going on than we have yet realized',  I knew right away with certainty I was on the right track, for those words have been my very exact thoughts for a number of years now.  Could it be I am finally getting onto the right track of things?  Don't know, but what I'm reading is beginning to open a few doors of interest that I didn't know were there before.

JUNCO
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A wife asked her husband: "What do you like most in me my pretty face or my sexy body?"  He looked at her from head to toe and replied: "I like your sense of humor."

-----------------------

Q: Why did the turkey cross the road?
A: It was Thanksgiving Day and he wanted people to think he was a chicken!

A first grade class was asked to write a paragraph called "What I'm thankful for on Thanksgiving."
Little Johnny's began, "I am thankful that I'm not a turkey."

My husband doesn't think housework is a full-time job. So for Thanksgiving, I served him a raw turkey because revenge is a dish best served cold.

Q: What do you get when you cross a turkey with a banjo?
A: A turkey that can pluck itself!

Q: What did baby corn say to mama corn?
A: Where's popcorn?

Q: What did the turkeys sing on Thanksgiving Day?
A: God save the kin.

Q: What did the turkey say to the turkey hunter on Thanksgiving Day?
A: Quack! Quack!

Q: What do you get when a turkey lays an egg on a hill?
A: An eggroll.

Q: Why did the turkey refuse dessert?
A: He was already stuffed.

Q: What kind of key can't open doors?
A: A tur-key.

Q: Why did the farmer have to separate the chicken and the turkey?
A: He sensed fowl play.

Q: What happened to the turkey that got in a fight?
A: He got the stuffing knocked out of him!

Q: When did the cranberries turn red?
A: When they saw the turkey dressing!

BECAUSE OF THIS MORNING'S RAIN WE DIDN'T TRAVEL TOO FAR

IT WAS THE WARM LIGHTS THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION IN THIS BAYFIELD HOUSE
Tuesday evening's snow turned into Wednesday morning's rain overnight as our temperatures slowly came up.  Looks like we could be close to 50F by Thursday.  Every little bit helps.  Just noticed, one month from now it will be Christmas Day.

IT WAS A DARK AND RAINY START FOR PHEEBS AND I THIS MORNING AND AT THE TIME OF PUBLICATION THIS EVENING......IT IS STILL RAINING
RAIN WASN'T ENOUGH TO DAUNT THESE BAYFIELD FISHERMEN
WHITE BRIDGE GIRDERS AWAIT INSTALLATION ON BAYFIELD'S NEW BRIDGE
NO, I DID NOT SEE ANY DONUTS ON THE SHELVES YET
I'M GUESSING THESE LARGE BOULDERS ARE DESTINED FOR SOMEWHERE AROUND THE BAYFIELD HARBOR BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE....CAN'T BE ALONG BAYFIELD'S BEACH BECAUSE THE WATER IS TOO SHALLOW THERE FOR THIS BARGE TO GET IN CLOSE.....BUT MAYBE

Pheebs and I have three basic areas of travel each morning.  South, East, and North.  We can't go West or we'd be right into Lake Huron.  North takes us up the coastline to Goderich and often northeast from there.  East generally takes us inland through Clinton and beyond sometimes branching off either north or south.  This morning we chose our southern route through Bayfield which usually angles eastward.  This route is generally our shortest but all three routes have many directional options due to the many intertwining country roads.  We never do the same route two days in a row.  We don't seem to branch out as far afield as we once did a few years ago but when we do it's always nice to see and re-see new things.

SNAPPED A FEW BAYFIELD HOUSE PICTURES ON OUR TRAVELS
I CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE HOW MUCH MONEY A PERSON WOULD HAVE TO HAVE IN THEIR POCKET TO HAVE A 4 CAR GARAGE
I LIKE THE YELLOW DOOR ON THIS HOUSE

THIS IS MORE MY SPEED
Because of this morning's rain, we didn't travel too far.  Slipped into Bayfield but not beyond.  Cruised around a few streets, down around the harbor, checked out the new bridge construction and Tim Horton coffee shop progress, and stopped for a short walk in Pioneer Park.  We were again home by 10 and that pretty much ended another outside day.  Still raining, so with my Kindle reader in hand, I snuggled into my cushy sunroom recliner beside our toasty fireplace and pretty much stayed there for the rest of the day.

THESE BENCHES FILL UP EACH EVENING IN THE SUMMERTIME WITH PEOPLE ENJOYING THE SUNSET OUT OVER LAKE HURON
STAIRWAY TO THE BEACH

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I was nervous the night my husband and I took our three young sons to a restaurant for the first time. My husband ordered a bottle of wine with the meal. When the waitress brought it, our children became quiet as she began the ritual uncorking. She poured a small amount for me to taste, at that moment, our six-year-old piped up, "Mom can drink a lot more than that."

Why do Dasher and Dancer enjoy coffee so much?  Because they're Santa's Star Bucks!

Knock-knock.
Who's there?
Dishes.
Dishes who?
Dishes the police! Come out with your hands up!

I THINK HE MIGHT JUST BE ON TO SOMETHING

Despite the month of November having the reputation of being the worst month of the year in these northern latitudes by many, including me, I must say our November this year so far hasn't been too bad at all.  We could be up to our keesters in snow but we're not.  We could be under dark sullen skies and cold rains for days on end and we're not.  And this final upcoming November week is actually looking doable.

Being too large to turn around in the Goderich harbor a large ship (Federal Columbia) having just maybe taken on a load of either corn, beans, or wheat had just backed itself back out of the harbor and was in the process of being turned around by a small tug to head off out into the lake and its next destination.

Had occasion to be in Goderich's Walmart this morning and I noticed they are beginning to remove the one-way arrows on 'some' of the aisles.  Also noticed in Clinton Monday morning the local hardware store had a sign out saying customers could once again use the main front door instead of the side door like in the past six or seven months.  Luckily, our area is not, and never has been, one of the hot Covid spots in Ontario.

I GUESS THAT MAKES IT OFFICIAL BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY PLAN TO OPEN
STILL WORKING HARD ON THE NEW GODERICH BOARDWALK
LAKE HURON CONTINUES TO EAT AWAY AT THE SHORELINE AND SOON PARTS OF THE DOG WALKING AREA TRAIL WILL BE GONE
Home again shortly after ten I settled into my sunroom recliner with my Kindle.  Finished Whitely Streiber's book Transformation and am now reading Elizabeth Sherrill's Return From Tomorrow.  I'm a bit out on a limb with this one but I'm trying to read these books with an open mind.  Streiber's Transformation is a big stretch for anyone's mind but I believe his experiences could very well have happened.  I believe it is feasible.  I've never come close to any of the experiences he has had but I have long had a definite feeling about some of the very things he writes about.  As confusing and bizarrely complex as it all is
I did not come away from this book believing it was BS!!  No, I think he just might be on to something.  I do hope so.

Two pieces of music for you today.  Speakers up, full screen, and here's hoping you have a good sound system:))

Stairway To Heaven sung by Nancy Wilson at the The Kennedy Center as a fitting tribute to the band Led Zeppelin who were seated in the audience.

In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins.....A well done 'live' production.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Military leaders succeed in building a computer able to solve any strategic or tactical problem.  They are assembled in front of the new machine and instructed to feed a difficult tactical problem into it. They describe a hypothetical situation to the computer and then ask the pivotal question: attack or retreat?  The computer hums away for an hour and then comes up with the answer: "Yes."  The generals look at each other, somewhat stupefied. Finally one of them submits a second request to the computer: "Yes what?"  Instantly the computer responded: "Yes Sir."

Patient: Doctor, I'm thinking that I may be losing my hearing.
Doctor: Can you tell me what you know of the symptoms?
Patient: Homer is bald and fat, Marge has blue hair...
