PATIENTLY WAITING

UNSETTLED MORNING SKIES OFF BAYFIELD'S BEACH THIS MORNING
I am patiently waiting for my blog writing mojo to return.

UNSETTLED EVENING SKIES ALONG OUR WALKING ROAD

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I asked the three-year-old what she likes to eat.  “Nuts,” she replied.  “Great,” I said. “What kind, pecans? Walnuts? Peanuts?  “No,” she said with a smile, “donuts!”

A FEW SUNDAY MORNING PHOTOS

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Mr. Bailey saw his son's shiner and demanded, "Scott, who gave you that black eye?"  "No one gave it to me dad," replied the spunky lad. "I had to fight for it."

ANOTHER FINE EVENING WALK

It was a warm southern breeze blowing up along the old country road rustling tall ripening corn stocks as it passed.  Another fine evening walk for Pheebs and I followed by a slow meandering drive home.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read..."The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents."

A QUESTION FOR LONG TIME READERS...WHO IS THIS GIRL??

RAINDROPS ON A SUNNY FRIDAY MORNING
It was 4a.m. when the sound of heavy rain on our metal roof roused me out of a deep sleep.  Before falling back to sleep again the only thought I had was that Pheebs and I wouldn't be taking Scooter for a ride with this morning.  With roads being wet and grimy I didn't want to have to get into a big clean-up job on our RV when we got back.

NICE SKIES FOR OUR THURSDAY NIGHT WALK
Luckily, by the time I got up 3 hours later, overhead skies had cleared and we were off to another nice sunny start to the day.  I was again mesmerized by the beautiful cloud patterns on our morning walk.

NICE SKIES FOR OUR FRIDAY MORNING WALK
I SEE A BABY ELEPHANT TRUMPETING ITS HAPPINESS TO THE SKY
A POODLE LYING ON ITS BACK FLOATING ACROSS THE SKY FROM RIGHT TO LEFT
A LION CUB BOUNDING ACROSS THE THE MORNING SKY
SKIES ARE LOOKING A LITTLE GRUMPY TO THE SOUTH
I THINK ONE OF THOSE CLOUDS LATER CAUGHT UP TO US IN GODERICH

Grabbed a McDonald's coffee in Goderich and headed down to the harbor.  Driving slowly along Cove Road in the morning sunshine enjoying the lakeside scenery it suddenly began to rain.  What!!  Some walkers on the boardwalk quickly scrambled under trees while others with no shelter simply plodded along accepting the seven or eight minute shower as their temporary piece of bad luck for the day.  I searched the sky for a rainbow but never found one.  With windows rolled up against the rain, we cruised right by the dog walking area making a wide turn and heading back up out of the harbor.  A stop at Walmart, Pet Value, and A&W wrapped up our reason for being in Goderich this morning and it was off for home with us.

THIS UNEXPECTED CLOUDBURST LASTED 7 OR 8 MINUTES
SOME WALKERS MANAGED TO FIND SHELTER UNDER NEARBY TREES

AND SOME FOLKS JUST KEPT RIGHT ON WALKING
GODERICH IS REPLACING AN OLD PLAYGROUND AT THE BEACH WITH A COMPLETELY NEW ONE

 HERE'S A QUESTION FOR LONG-TIME READERS.....WHO IS THIS GIRL??
WELL, IT'S LITTLE ELLA OF COURSE AND DON'T FEEL BAD IF YOU DIDN'T RECOGNIZE HER, I DIDN'T EITHER (ELLA IS KELLY'S GRANDAUGHTER)
I GUESS I HAD BETTER NOT BE CALLING HER 'LITTLE' ANYMORE
GROANER'S CORNER:((

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and "rinse".

6. Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.
Sincerely,
The Dog

AND I WILL THINK TO MYSELF HOW EASY THAT WAS TO CHANGE WHAT IS

Rainy day not much to say so think I'll let this post just slip away.  Maybe tomorrow just like Zorro I will slash a big Z high in the cloud and think to myself right out loud Oh My how easy that was to change what is and find blue skies with my very own eyes.............

ON A SHORT RAINY DRIVE INTO BAYFIELD I NOTICED TWO BIG CRANES AT WORK ONCE AGAIN ON THE NEW BAYFIELD BRIDGE

COULD THAT BE A HARBOR SEAL OUT THERE JUST OFF BAYFIELD'S BEACH??
NOPE, IT DON'T LOOK LIKE NO SEAL
A-HA, IT'S A GUY ON A SURFBOARD....YOU DIDN'T REALLY THINK WE HAD HARBOR SEALS HERE DID YOU:))
VERY SOON ALL THESE BOATS WILL HAVE TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE WATER....SEEMS LIKE JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO THEY WERE ALL PUT INTO THE WATER
TOOK A DRIVE ALONG BAYFIELD'S MAIN STREET
 A LANDSCAPING PROJECT UNDERWAY
THERE ARE SOME GRAND OLD PROPERTIES IN BAYFIELD

HEADING HOME BACK ACROSS THE RIVER
GROANER'S CORNER:((
Bill and Moe had started with only five hundred dollars between them, but they had built up a computer business with sales in the millions. Their company employed over two hundred people, and the two executives lived like princes.  Almost overnight, things changed. Sales dropped sharply, former customers disappeared, the business failed, and personal debts forced both into bankruptcy. Bill and Moe blamed each other for the troubles, and they parted on unfriendly terms.  Five years later, Bill drove up to a decrepit diner and stopped for a cup of coffee. As he was discreetly wiping some crumbs from the table, a waiter approached. Bill looked up and gasped.  "Moe!" he said, shaking his head. "It's a terrible thing, seeing you working in a place as bad as this."  "Yeah," Moe said with a smirk. "But at least I don't eat here."
