OUR MONDAY NIGHT FULL MOON GOT RAINED OUT

FARMER'S WERE OUT WORKING ON HARVESTING THEIR BEAN CROPS SUNDAY NIGHT
Our evening jaunts have almost become as routine as our morning jaunts.  With a nice-looking Sunday evening taking shape, Pheebs and I were again out the door and on our way.

THESE BRIGHTLY COLORED RED WAGONS WILL SOON BE LOADED WITH BEANS
HARVESTING BEANS CAN BE A DUSTY BIT OF BUSINESS AND HERE YOU CAN SEE 2 COMBINES AT WORK
HEY, IS THAT GUY WATCHING 'JEOPARDY' ON HIS MONITOR
THE COMBINES CAN LOAD THEIR BEANS DIRECTLY INTO THIS WAITING TRANSPORT TRUCK
HARD TO SEE THE COMBINE FOR ALL THE DUST
HEADING WEST INTO THE SUNSET AND THAT STRAIGHT HORIZON LINE OUT THERE IS LAKE HURON
SOME FARMERS WERE BURNING SUNDAY NIGHT'S MIDNIGHT OIL
With Monday morning's sunny clear sky overhead the furry kid and I logged in another country road walk.  For the second time in a week, we headed back home after our outing.  I'm not sure what's going on there but I had no interest in going anywhere or taking any morning photos.  Very unusual for me.  Home again, after reading and having a short snooze I decided to tackle a big spring cleaning job that I had been putting off.  Five months late but what the heck, the sunroom needed a good cleaning so with my interests moving me in that direction I took full advantage of that and kept myself busy vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, re-arranging, and cleaning more windows all afternoon.  I honestly wished I had more days like that where I had that elusive energy of my teenage years.

OF COURSE, PHEEBS KEPT A CLOSE EYE ON ME TO MAKE SURE I WAS DOING THINGS RIGHT
SHE'S CHECKING TO SEE IF I MISSED ANY SPOTS WHILE VACUUMING

Pheebs and I were planning on heading out to watch the full moon come up but it was not to be.  It turned cloudy and started to rain.  Luckily, I had taken one last nearly full moon shot Sunday night.

GROANER'S CORNER:((    A circus owner walked into a bar to see everyone crowded about a table watching a little show. On the table was an upside-down pot and a duck tap dancing on it. The circus owner was so impressed that he offered to buy the duck from its owner. After some wheeling and dealing, they settled for $10,000 for the duck and the pot.  Three days later the circus owner runs back to the bar in anger, "Your duck is a ripoff! I put him on the pot before a whole audience, and he didn't dance a single step!"  "So?" asked the ducks former owner, "did you remember to light the candle under the pot?"

THE BEAN HARVEST HAS BEGUN

 SATURDAY NIGHT SUNSET
Another nice Saturday evening walk and short Jeep ride.  I will leave you with a few Saturday photos.  Sunday was quiet and I never got around to taking any photos at all but I did get a few windows cleaned.

THE BEAN HARVEST HAS BEGUN AND THIS FELLOW IS OUT SATURDAY EVENING GETTING RIGHT AT IT
TRACTORS AND WAGONS LINED UP READY TO ROLL

WE DID GOOD

Another fine September morning in a long line of mighty fine September mornings.  Sunshine and perfect temperatures.  Our travels this earlier today took us from our walking spot to Goderich whereupon we visited such places and facilities as MacDonalds, the beach and harbor, Walmart, Pet Value, and A&W.  We netted ourselves a coffee to go, 3 photos, 3 liters of skim milk, two cans of chicken soup, 2 liters of orange juice, 2 bags of dog food at Pet Value + snacks and one double buddy burger at A&W.  We did good today:))

SPOTTED SOME NICE SMALL TO MEDIUM RV'S IN GODERICH THIS MORNING

Not much going on this afternoon.  There were things I could have been doing outside but I found myself on the tired side so spent much of my time relaxing and reading.  Just finished a book called Area 51 'An Uncensored History Of America's Top Secret Military Base' by Annie Jacobsen.  This book is not about Aliens working in large caves, caverns, and tunnels under the base but it is about what the title says it's about.  It's a history of the base and I found it a very educationally interesting read with many believable surprises and revelations along the way.  I was especially surprised about what this book says about Roswell.  I certainly hadn't seen that one coming and it definitely adds yet another questionable layer of thick fog to the already deeply clouded theories of what really happened there back in 1947.  I will give you a clue to this particular theory....Russia's Stalin, Germany's Dr. Josef Mengele, and two German rocket scientists known as the Horten brothers.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I went to a wise man the other day for advice and he said, "He who knows and knows he knows, knows not. He who knows not and knows he knows not, knows."  I don't know who's going to do my taxes next year, but I know it won't be him again.

I AM SO GLAD WE LIVE IN CANADA

A touch of fog in this morning's air as Pheebs and I rolled out of our Park heading east to our walking area.  The misty landscape had an ephemeral feeling to it making it one of those memorable mornings that stays with one for a long time.

 WIND TURBINES TICKLING CLOUD TUMMIES
I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A FIELD OF SOYBEANS
Instead of heading home after our walk, we Jeeped ourselves south over around the Varna area picking up one of our usual driving routes heading west.  It was a perfect weather morning with just the right touch of warm morning air added to the overnight coolness.  I think September is the nicest month of the year here in southwestern Ontario, Canada.  And that has certainly been true this year so far.

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE HIDDEN AWAY LITTLE HILL AND DALE SIDEROADS
I GUESS THE SHORT STEP STOOL IS FOR A TALL PERSON PICKING APPLES
It was about high noon when Pheebs and I rolled Scooter out of her parking area and took it for an exercise run over to Holmesville and back.  Maybe one of these days instead of coming back in about 20 minutes we can keep on going and going for a few months.  Well now, that is wishful thinking isn't it.  Next week they will once again likely announce that the border opening will be pushed back another month again.  Maybe just as well with the way things are south of the border.  As much as we like the 'good things' America has to offer, I am so glad we live in Canada.

Saw an article saying area farmers are expecting a bumper crop and possibly record-breaking yields for soybeans and corn this year.  Looking at all the healthy fields around here I would be inclined to agree with them.

THE GREEN GREEN FIELDS OF HOME

I have often thought of the human voice as a precisely tuned musical instrument, just like a finely tuned piano, violin, horn, guitar or harp, etc.  There are many examples of perfection in the music world if and when a human voice is used in its finest form.  Listen to this young girl doing a much-loved instrumental piece of music called, Clare De Lune.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( During World War two, 3 people, Michael, Sam, and Ben were captured by the Germans. They will be sentenced to death by shooting, one after the other.  Fortunately, Michael came up with a plan. He told the others that the Germans were afraid of natural disasters. So he would cause them to panic, and escape while they were in confusion.  The next morning, Michael was led to the wall. The firing squad was lined up and the Captain commanded, "Ready... Aim...", but before he could complete, Micheal shouted, "Earthquake! Earthquake!" The German soldiers panicked and Michael escaped.    Later, the soldiers took Sam out and the firing squad was ready. The captain commanded, "Ready... Aim..." This time Sam shouted, "Flood! Flood!" Again, the soldiers panicked and this time, Sam made his escape.  Observing all this, Ben began to get the idea. "It's important to get the timing right."  Soon, it was Ben's turn. The soldiers lined up in front of him.  The captain started, "Ready..." "Aim..." Ben shouted, 'FIRE" "FIRE"

Q: How did the bishop make holy water?
A: He took some tap water and boiled the hell out of it.
