HAD TO GET MYSELF FEELING REASONABLY HUMANISH AGAIN

 SEEN IN A FARMYARD
It was a rare occurrence but I think the great weather Gods looked down and decided to give me a short break by dropping this morning's temperature by about 10 degrees.  All the words meaning the same as marvelous came to mind as Pheebs and merrily skipped our way along on our walk.

MAY IS DEFINITELY BLOSSOM MONTH
 MANY SHADES OF GREEN
SUNDAY MORNING FARMERS WERE BUSY PLANTING
Needing to renew one of my prescriptions we headed off to Goderich.  Half a tank of gas cost $85 this morning and of course, McDonalds has added ten cents for a Seniors coffee bringing that small cup up to $1:35.  Down to the harbor we went where two ships were in port with one loading salt and the other grain.  With tourist season now upon us along the shores of Lake Huron, there were a lot more people and vehicles around.  It's easy to spot the city folks because they are the ones always in a frenzied hurry flurry.  It's too bad they bring their big-city morning rush hour traffic habits with them.  Tailgating horn blowers I calls em!!

THE OCEAN-GOING BARBRO-G IS REGISTERED OUT OF PORTUGAL
THERE ARE THE BRIDGES OF TWO SHIPS VISIBLE HERE
THE ALGOMA INNOVATOR AT THE SALT MINE DOCK
THIS IS ONE VERY BIG SHIP
MAYBE PUMPING OUT SOME BILGE WATER
GODERICH'S PAID PARKING IS IN PLAY FOR THE SEASON AND IT LOOKS LIKE SOME TICKETS ARE ALREADY BEING WRITTEN
THE TWO PEOPLE ON THE RIGHT ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE IRON  PARKING RANGER
IT WAS A NICE DAY FOR FOLKS TO TAKE A DRIVE TO THE BEACH
Home again and while temperatures were still civilized, it was time to take Scooter for a run.  But, there was a problem.  Scoot's battery was stone dead so I had to haul out the cables and jump-start it with the Jeep.  Took the rig for a spin over to Holmesville and back which is a 22-mile round trip.  The rig ran perfectly, but upon arriving home, when I tried to start it, the battery was dead again.  Looks like one new battery coming up.
Temperatures were still reasonable so I felt energized enough to give Scooter a complete wash job.  By the time I finished nearly an hour later the temps and humidity had risen and turned me into a sticky ball of paste.  I had to head straight away inside to the shower and get myself feeling reasonably humanish again.  As I post this tonight, it is raining.  Yay team, that will cool things down and I already can hear all the plants outside giggling:))

IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I CAME UPON THIS GROUP OF LASSES...AND NO, THAT IS NOT THE FLYING NUN ON THE RIGHT....AND YES, THAT IS A SMARTPHONE YOU SEE
I THINK THAT GAL ON THE RIGHT MUST BE THE DARING BLACK SHEEP OF THE BUNCH

IT WASN'T UNTIL I EDITED THE PHOTOS THAT I NOTICED THE SMARTPHONE AND I HOPE THOSE GIRLS DON'T FORGET ABOUT THEIR FRIEND AND JUST LEAVE HER HANGING
Ellen's Groove:: Ellen and her dad Hovak are at it again with another short guitar duet:))  Hovak by the way is from Armenia.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A husband is advised by a psychiatrist to assert himself. "You don't have to let your wife henpeck you! Go home and show her you are the boss!"  Of course, the husband takes the doctor's advice. He rushes home, slams the door, shakes his fist in his wife's face, and growls, "From now on, you're taking orders from me! I want my supper right now and when you get it on the table, go upstairs and lay out my best clothes. Tonight, I'm going out with the boys and you are going to stay at home where you belong! And another thing... guess who's going to comb my hair, give me a shave, and tie my necktie?"  His redheaded wife says calmly, "The undertaker."

A HOT ONE YESTERDAY, A HOT ONE TODAY, AND ANOTHER HOT ONE TOMORROW:((

 MALE ROBBIN ON OUR BIRDBATH
Heat and humidity kept me indoors for the majority of the day with the exception of a pleasantly cool morning walk with Pheebs.  Managed a few photos along the way.  Basically, this day was a repeat of the previous day so I am short on ideas tonight.  Another hot one tomorrow:((

Ellen's Groove...... In this clip, Ellen has been practicing the Barney Miller TV theme for about 5 minutes.  And here's a short clip of Ellen and her Dad doing another great duet:))

I BELIEVE THIS LITTLE CHAP TO BE AN INDIGO BUNTING
GROANER'S CORNER:((  The first Jewish woman President is elected.  She calls her Mother: "Mama, I've won the election, you've got to come to the swearing-in ceremony."  "I don't know, what would I wear?"  "Don't worry, I'll send you a dressmaker."  "But I only eat kosher food."  "Mama, I am going to be the President, I can get you kosher food."  "But how will I get there?"  "I'll send a limo, just come Mama."  "OK, OK, if it makes you happy."  The great day comes and Mama is seated between the supreme court justices and the future cabinet members. She nudges the gentleman on her right.  "You see that girl, the one with her hand on the Bible? Her brother's a Doctor!"

'WE COULDN'T STANDS IT NO MORE' SO WE CLICKED ON OUR A/C TODAY

On our walk with a warm southerly breeze this morning I marveled at all the Spring beauty around us.  From the farmlands freshly turned fields of brown earth waiting for this year's golden seeds to be planted to fields of the greenest green winter wheat bent and swaying in the morning breeze.  Forest trees are filling in with vibrant new life while dandelions dot the already tall roadside grass.  Overhead in the deep blue morning sky, Old Sol beams down with a broad grin and a chuckle.  The rural air is so invigoratingly fresh as we walk the old and dusty gravel road.  I could see a couple farmers far off busily planting their fields in rising clouds of swirling dust.  Red, yellow, green, and blue farm machinery wandered with purpose over hill and dale.  Pheebs felt the goodness of the fresh morning air too as she bounded along down the road like a playful puppy.  Even I may have had a smile on my face as I walked along taking it all in and muttering to myself, thank you, thank you, thank you.
 MAYAPPLES
It was straight home we went again with my good intentions of washing Kelly's car, the Jeep, and our little Motorhome.  My intentions were on track but my energy levels were not so I just kind of dilly-dallied the rest of the day away.  With cooler weather ahead maybe I can gather myself up some new energy and roust myself out to get those vehicles washed and cleaned up.
And speaking of the Motorhome, I think the last time I put gas in it was last year.  Probably late October.  With gas prices currently at $1.95 a liter, I don't think there is much of a chance of me putting any more gas in it for quite a while.  We don't want to sell it, but yet it seems such a waste if we are not using it.  And using it right now is not in the cards due to medical issues.  But, it's a vehicle, it needs to be driven, it needs to take people places so they can see and do things and enjoy their RV lifestyle.  That used to be us not too long ago and I still have hopes that someday soon we can get it all together again and be those adventuress traveling free-spirited people we once were.

 MOURNING DOVE
I was pleased to see a few readers had expressed an interest in Ellen the 9-year-old bass player so I plan to include updates on her progress.  Here is a link to one of Ellen's latest practice sessions as Hovak her dad helps her nail down a tricky bass line.  Learning Session.  Hovak, has his own tightly knit band called Octavision.  They are a quality group with the finest musicians.  Victor Wooten and Billy Sheehan are just two of the members.

We haven't heard any more rumblings about our Park's sale, whether it has been finalized or not.  I hope we residents will at some point get some kind of an official notice letting us know what's happening and if it's a done deal.  Inquiring minds would like to know.

I think it was somewhere around 2 o'clock this afternoon when we reached the Popeye point.  Remember when Popeye would say, 'I can't stands it no more'!!  Well, that was us this afternoon....we couldn't stands it no more so we closed all the doors and windows and Kelly cranked on our A/C unit for the first time this year.  And thankfully it worked.  We spent the rest of the day huddled together with sweaters and mitts on trying to stay warm.........

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Harvey's grandfather clock suddenly stops working right one day, so he loads it into his van and takes it to a clock repair shop. In the shop is a little old man who insists he is Swiss and has a heavy German accent. He asks Harvey, "Vat sims to be ze problem?"  Harvey says, "I'm not sure, but it doesn't go 'tick- tock-tick-tock' anymore. Now it just goes 'tick...tick...tick.'"  The old man says, "Mmm-Hm!" and steps behind the counter, where he rummages around a bit. He emerges with a huge flashlight and walks over to the grandfather clock. He turns the flashlight on and shines it directly into the clock's face. Then he says in a menacing voice, "Ve haf vays of making you tock!"
