With ongoing construction in downtown Goderich confusing folks, our good neighbor Monica was unable to reach her bank last week, so this morning I drove Monica to her bank in Goderich on another lovely sunshiny morning. After the bank, I took her for a leisurely drive down around the harbor and out to Rotary Cove. Monica, delighted, said the last time she had been down to the harbor years ago, Rotary Cove never even existed. I think it had maybe been back in the 1970s when the town of Goderich decided to expand its waterfront southwards for about three-quarters of a mile. It was a big project and easily left Goderich with the finest beach and shoreline on all of Lake Huron. And especially their mile-long boardwalk close along Lake Huron's picturesque shoreline.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A wife went to the police station with her next-door neighbor to report that her husband was missing. The policeman asked for a description. She said, "He's 35 years old, 6 foot 4, has dark eyes, dark wavy hair, an athletic build, weighs 185 pounds, is soft-spoken, and is good to the children." The next-door neighbor protested, "Your husband is 5 foot 4, chubby, bald, has a big mouth, and is mean to your children." The wife replied, "Yes, but who wants HIM back?"

My wife said she wanted to see "Fifty Shades Of Grey". So I showed her a picture of her hair.

One day two blind men started fighting.
Pretty soon a crowd surrounded them.
Then one of the members of the crowd yelled out "I bet 50 dollars on the one with the knife." Both men ran away.

What a gorgeous hosta!!
ReplyDeleteChuckled at the bank story, waiting outside, engine running, haha. Fabulous photos, the flowers are so lovely.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely loved the "mother nature Baking baby" - laughed out loud. First thing I've said today.! As my hair is already dripping with sweat (ugh) - am sending it to several friends. Ready for you to send us some cooler/less humid Canadian air.
ReplyDeleteHi Al
ReplyDeleteGreat photos as usual - I love them all!
You’re such a lovely man to help your neighbor out, I’m sure she really appreciated the tour as well … maybe do it again and throw in an ice cream cone too lol
Take care 💕
