I PICKED UP THE TWO GROCERY SHOPPERS ABOUT TEN MINUTES LATER

It was about 7:40 Tuesday night when Woodsy rolled in from Stratford.  'Yay Team':)) Within twenty minutes, we were in the Subaru and headed into Bayfield for ice cream, and this time, we stopped at Copenhagens on Main Street.  Lorraine had herself a Key Lime cone, which she really enjoyed, and I had my usual Pralines and Cream.  From there, it was a short drive around Bayfield and then over to Pioneer Park for a few sunset pics.  There were a lot of people gathered to watch old Sol slowly dip into Lake Huron.

I wanted to get myself a walk in this morning before it got too hot, so I hustled out to my walking spot and enjoyably did my half mile.  Managed a few pics on my way back home.

CORN'S ABOUT FOUR FEET HIGH NOW
Our good neighbor Monica's cell phone and computer tablet had both gone wonky at the same time a couple days ago, and she suspects a virus.  This morning, Monica, Woodsy, and I, in the Subaru, drove up to Goderich and stopped at ContinueIT' where Monica took her phone and Tablet in for the techy folks to have a look at.  I went in with Monica and we explained the problem to the same young techie lady who had helped me out with a computer problem a few months ago.  She tried a couple of quick things and determined it was not likely a virus but some advertising site that had somehow downloaded into Monica's phone, and then her tablet.  Busy with another customer at the time, the techie lady said to leave the devices and she would call Monica later.  With that, we three headed to Food Basics, where I dropped Monica and Woodsy off and I headed over to McD's for a coffee to go.  I picked up the two grocery shoppers about 10 minutes later, and off for home we went.  Monica never did get a call this afternoon to pick up her phone and tablet.  Maybe tomorrow, and we will pick it up for her.

I had things to do outside, but decided to wait for cooler weather.  If I fired up my roto-teller, I would just end up turning myself into an uncomfortable, soggy mess again.  Spent most of the afternoon inside, staying cool with the exception of a short drive to Clinton, where Woodsy wanted to browse around at Elliot's Liquidation.  She came out empty-handed.  A second stop at Clinton's Foodland and back home we went on a very pleasant sunny and warm Wednesday afternoon.  A nice breeze from the southwest today.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A husband stepped on one of those penny scales that tell you your fortune and weight and dropped in a coin.  "Listen to this," he said to his wife, showing her a small, white card. "It says I'm energetic, bright, resourceful and an round great person."  "Yeah," his wife nodded, "and it has your weight wrong, too!"

Q: How many archaeologists does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Three. One to change it and two to argue about how old the old bulb was.

Q: How many preservation society members does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
A: One, but it takes a year to find an antique Edison light bulb so it'll be architecturally accurate.

Q: How many Einsteins does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: That depends on the speed of the changer, and the mass of the bulb. Or vice versa, of course. Then it just might be easier to leave the bulb alone and change the room. It's all relative.

I went to the doctors recently. He said, "Don't eat anything fatty." I said, "What, like bacon and burgers?"  He said, "No, I mean you, Fatty, don't eat anything!"

A 6 year old was asked where his grandmother lived. ''Oh,'' he said, ''She lives at the airport and when we want her we just go get her. Then, when we're we've done having her visit, we take her back to the airport.''

  1. Lovely photos again, Al. It always amazes me how much room there is in an RV. That's larger than my family room *grin*. Monica will appreciate your help in getting her devices looked at.
