I HEAR IT'S ONLY ABOUT 98 DAYS TILL SPRING

I THINK THAT IS THE MOST SNOW I'VE SEEN ON THE SHED ROOF EVER
Oh Groan.....nearly a foot of snow overnight, so my Monday morning was basically a repeat of Sunday morning. Shove, shovel, shovel.  With temps up half a dozen degrees, the snow had a bit of moisture in it, so it was heavier than Sunday's snow.  It took me the best part of two hours to get things cleared up, including the whole driveway, and of course, by the time I finished, it was snowing again!!  We got another inch, but Frank came over this afternoon with his snowblower and quickly re-cleaned the driveway out.  I expect I will be out slogging snow first thing Tuesday morning again.  Hey, I hear it's only about 98 days till Spring.  Can't wait:))  But, I guess I'll have to:((

IF IT KEEPS SNOWING I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING TO PILE ALL THE SNOW
I ALWAYS KEEP PATHWAYS SHOVELED TO THE SHEDS BECAUSE I NEVER KNOW WHEN I MIGHT NEED SOMETHING IMPORTANT LIKE A BOX
QUITE THE SNOW CAPS ON THE LAMP POSTS
MY WHEELBARROW IS HIBRNATING UNDER THAT PILE OF SNOW SOMEWHERE
I DON'T THINK MY UTILITY TRAILER IS GOING ANYWHERE UNTIL SPRING SOMETIME
AND YES, I TOSS OUT CORN AND CARROT SLICES FOR MY LITTLE BUNNY PALS TOO

GROANER'S CORNER:(( You may not know that many nonliving things have a gender.

1) Ziploc Bags-
They are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.
2) Copiers-
They are Female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.
3) Tire-
Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated.
4) Hot Air Balloon-
Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part.
5) Sponges-
Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water.
6) Web Page-
Female, because it's always getting hit on.
7) Subway-
Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.
8) Hourglass-
Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.
9) Hammer-
Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.
10) Remote Control-
Female...... Ha! You thought it'd be male. But consider this-it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying.

Little Pete came home from the playground with a bloody nose, black eye, and torn clothing. It was obvious he’d been in a bad fight and lost. While his father was patching him up, he asked his son what happened.  “Well, Dad,” said Pete, “ I challenged Larry to a duel. And, you know, I gave him his choice of weapons.”  “Uh-huh,” said the father, “that seems fair.”  “I know, but I never thought he’d choose his sister!”

"I watched my wife's routine at breakfast for years," the expert explained. "She made lots of trips between the refrigerator, stove, table and cabinets, often carrying a single item at a time. One day I told her, 'Hon, why don't you try carrying several things at once?'" "Did it save time?" the person in the audience asked.  "Actually, yes," replied the expert. "It used to take her 20 minutes to make breakfast. Now I do it in seven."

  2. Lots of snow yes, it's just beautiful but...it's too cold for my taste; I lived once in NY for 4 months & it was plenty of snow for a lifetime for this person 🤪. I relocated to Southern California & I love it !! 💃 💃 💃 💃

  3. All the snow on your roofs, reminded me of early March 2023 when we had nine feet in seven days and I was literally snowed in at my house for two weeks. This was in the SoCal mountains. Hoping it lets up for you, Al. Take care.

  5. My goodness that's a lot of snow. Ouch...take care of your back, Al. I've got spinal stenosis since this Spring...carrying a heavy laundry basket down stairs did it. Snow shovelling is out of the question for me.

  6. Well thank you for reminding me! I'll start counting down those 98 (now 97) days til spring. Getting around in the winter in a wheelchair is a frustrating challenge, even when it's only going 20 feet from the van into a building. Even that gets snow and grit in your tires! I would add that in just 5 days the length of daylight each day will start getting longer,.

  7. Hi Al, You sure are a LOT hardier than I am. I'm pretty sure that if we had all that snow, I'd be sitting in my chair crying until Spring arrived. Ha!

  8. Beautiful pics today, as usual! About transferring the pics from your phone to your editing program...my suggestion is to have someone write the procedures out, step by step, like 1., 2., 3. etc. etc.. Keep that on your desk, and pretty soon repetition will probably mean success without having to refer to the notes. It's new info and we're old. :-) --Annette
