AND THEN CAME ALONG A BIG BOOMER OF A THUNDER AND LIGHTNING STORM

SUMAC LEAVES IN THE FRONT YARD
Friday evening turned out to be another pleasant summer routine.  Walk, coffee to go in Clinton, and another stop under the stars on Tower Line Road.

TURNING OUT OF THE PARK SATURDAY NIGHT, I CAUGHT PART OF THE EARLY SUNSET THROUGH THE TREES

Sunday:: A cloudy start to the day, but that's okay cause at least it ain't snowin'.  A short drive into Bayfield this morning to pick up a prescription, but I forgot Michael's Pharmacy is closed Sundays.  Oh well, grabbed me some gas at The Bayfield Garage across the road. ($174.9 a litre)  Woodsy rolled in about 12:15, and it wasn't long before we saddled up the E-Bikes and headed into Bayfield under sunny skies.  Being the weekend with a nice weather day going on, Bayfield was a jumpin'.  Lots of people browsing along the street, outside eateries were all full, and I think every available parking spot along Main Street was filled.  It was late afternoon by the time we biked home.

ALWAYS NICE TO SEE SAILBOATS ON THE LAKE AND ESPECIALLY ONES WITH COLORFUL SAILS

WOODSY IS RIGHT INTO SOME SERIOUS BROWSING OVER THERE
After supper, we hopped into the car and headed off to Goderich.  Picked up a few things at Walmart and then headed down to the harbor and out to Rotary Cove.  People, people everywhere.  Three large ships in port.  Two loading at the salt mine and one loading at the grain terminal.  Lots of people on the beach and in the water swimming or paddle boarding. It looked like the outdoor seating area at the Beach Street Station restaurant was filled to capacity.  It was exactly three years ago right now that Kelly's brother, Peter, and wife, Leslie were here from Webster, New York, visiting us.  We dined out at The Beach Street Station.  Driving along the beautiful Lake Huron shoreline Sunday night I had a disturbing thought.  In less than six short months from now, there will be nothing down in this harbor and shoreline but icy winds, overcast days, and cold blowing snow.  Quite a contrast to the loveliness of summer I'd say.

THE BBC PLATA WAS IN PORT TODAY TAKING ON A LOAD OF GRAIN

Monday:: Although the day dawned sunny, we were soon under a heavy cloud cover.  I did catch a few photos on the way home from my country road walk.  Rain came early in the afternoon, and it grew dark enough outside to turn on the outside garden night lights.  And then came along a big boomer of a thunder and lightning storm, packing a deluge of rain.  Why our power never went off has to be a complete mystery to not only me, but all Park residents as well.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Shakey went to a psychiatrist. "Doc," he said, "I've got trouble. Every time I get into bed, I think there's somebody under it. I get under the bed, I think there's somebody on top of it. Top, under, top, under ... you gotta help me, I'm going crazy!" "Just put yourself in my hands for two years," said the shrink. "Come to me three times a week, and I'll cure your fears." "How much do you charge?" "A hundred dollars per visit." "I'll sleep on it," said Shakey. Six months later the doctor met Shakey on the street. "Why didn't you ever come to see me again?" asked the psychiatrist. "For a hundred buck's a visit? A bartender cured me for ten dollars." "Is that so! How?" "He told me to cut the legs off the bed!"

2. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol is a major factor in dancing like an idiot.

3. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may cause you to tell the same boring story over and over again until your friends want to assault you

4. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may cause you to thay shings like thish.

5. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may cause you to tell the boss what you really think of him.

6. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol is the leading cause of inexplicable rug burn on the forehead.

7. WARNING: Consumption of alcohol may create the illusion that you are tougher, handsomer and smarter than some really, really big guy named Psycho Bob.
