OUR AUTUMN ROUTINES ARE WELL UNDER WAY

DSC_0005-004

It was under pleasantly cool cloudy skies Richard and I headed out for our country road coffee cruise.  It was my turn to be the navigator and with Richard driving we managed to find our way around the areas rural roads without become lost or having to stop and ask for directions.  As if either on of us would ever do that!!

How nice this afternoon to be outside again ticking off things on my ‘to-do’ list.  Cleaned up and re-organized our wooden shed so now I can begin gathering up outside lawn ornaments and things for winter storage.  It’s a busy time of year for us and yes indeed our Autumn routines are finally in full swing.  To date either I  have transported about 20 Frogs to the Park’s larger pond or I have transported the same 3 frogs about 7 times…………………………

GROANER’S CORNER:(( A farmer passes by an insane asylum with a load of fertilizer. One of the inmates calls out, "Hey! Watcha hauling?"   "Fertilizer."  "Whaddaya gonna do with it?"  "Put it on my strawberries."  "Gee. We put cream on ours, and they call us crazy!"

The village blacksmith hired an enthusiastic new apprentice willing to work long, hard hours.
He instructed the boy, “When I take the shoe out of the fire, I’ll lay it on the anvil.  When I nod my head, you hit it with the hammer.”  The apprentice did exactly as he was told, and now he’s the new village blacksmith.

  3. I'm ready for some 70's weather in 3 or 4 days, according to the forecast. I laughed at the village blacksmith story, but I have to admit I had to read it twice!

  4. As I looked at a squirrel today I wondered if he had jumped tree to tree back to my home. I know your feelings on that subject.
