LIKE DRIVING ON A CUSHION OF SOFT AIR

JUST A FEW OF PHEEBS TOYS
'Wow' I noticed right away the difference simply driving across the parking lot before even reaching the highway.  It was shortly after 10 this morning and I was rolling out of Clinton's Huron Tirecraft with four new tires on the Jeep.  It was the smoothness which first caught my attention and seconds later accelerating down the road it was the quietness of the tires.  With the Jeep's muffler not even 24 hours old and the tires less than a minute old it felt like I had just driven a new car off the lot.
After having to change a tire last year in the cold November rain I decided I didn't want to have to do that again so decided not to push the worn Jeep tires for another season and opted for new ones.  With long distance medical appointments coming up we don't need any flat tires along the way.
NICE OF THESE SOMETIMES AGGRESIVE MOURNING DOVES TO NOT BOTHER THIS LITTLE INDIGO BUNTING
Pheebs was pretty disappointed when I headed out without her this morning so this afternoon I took her for a little Jeep ride around Bayfield.  Besides I just felt like driving around on that soft cushion of quiet tire air again.  Noticed some activity at the Tim Hortons site finally.
A RIPPLE OF ACTIVITY AT THE TIM HORTON COFFEE SHOP SITE
And Gord and Cathy I noticed activity at your site as well this afternoon about 2 o'clock.
HOPE THESE GUYS DON'T POUR THE CEMENT UPSIDE DOWN
Cloudy and cool again today with dapples of rainy drizzle in the air.  Painted a few things in the protection of our carport and that was about it.  Certainly not much to write about some days and I don't want to drag you all kicking and screaming through every little itty bitty thing I did all day.
MORE OF OUR SOUTHWEST ROCK COLLECTION
GROANER'S CORNER:((  There's a man named Ralph that goes into a bar, looking very depressed.  A friend approaches him and asks, "Why the long face, Ralph?"  "Oh, I'm just bored. I know every person in the entire world now, and there's just nothing left to challenge me.  "His friend says, "No, you can't know everyone. Do you know Paul McCartney?"  He says, "Sure, Paul's an old friend of mine. Here, I'll show you."  He goes over to a phone, dials a number.  His friend overhears a British accent, "Hey Ralph, how ya doing?  "He talks for a while, but when Ralph hangs up, his friend is not really sure that it was Paul McCartney on the other end of the line, so he asks him if he knows the president.  Ralph says, "Sure, we go way back." This time he lets him listen in as he calls a private number. It sounds like the president on the other end of the line, and they go into a big discussion of the current economic scene, and Ralph offers a few suggestions. Drawing the conversation to a close, Ralph wishes him well and hangs up.  His friend is a little dumbfounded at this point. "Well, there must be someone that you don't know." He goes over a few more people in his mind, and thinks, 'He can't possibly know the Pope.  After all, he's a Protestant.  'But Ralph claims to know him, so to convince himself otherwise, his friend desides to fly both himself and Ralph to the Vatican to get positive proof of Ralph's conviction. So they arrive at the Vatican, and Ralph suggests that his friend wait out in St. Peter's Square until Ralph has cleared things with the Pope. He's standing in the courtyard, when who walks out onto the balcony of the private residence, arm in arm with the Pope, but Ralph.  Ralph looks down, sees that his friend has apparently passed out, and runs down to see what can be done for him. "What happened to you? Couldn't you accept the fact that I really do know the Pope?"  "No, I'd begun to accept that possibility. But what really took my breath away was some stranger standing next to me who said, 'Who's that guy standing there with Ralph?''

  3. Nice rock collection, but I am not seeing a nearly black rock from the Q area. We felt we had to have one, just to remember being there. Collected a few minerals from the rock flea markets too, nothing special. Take care and enjoy the ride.

  4. We were there Sunday to see the footings were done, lovely to see actual foundation walls going up. Two weeks from today we hand over the keys of our present house to the new owner, then hit the road for a few months. Yep, we're excited! Gord.

  5. I like your rock collection. I bet they bring back good memories. I have a Jeep just like yours, same color and everything. It has been awhile since it was towed behind my motorhome.
