I'M ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO AUTUMN'S COOLER WEATHER

CHICORY GROWING ALONGSIDE THE ROAD

Thank heavens for our cooler nights and early mornings.  Cool enough Sunday evening to take Pheebs for a 'bug free' walk back through our pine forest and still cool enough earlier this morning to make being outside enjoyable.

I DON'T THINK I HAVE SEEN THE HURON EXPLORER 1 IN BAYFIELD'S HARBOR BEFORE

A short but pleasant Monday morning drive through the countryside with a few photos along the way.  I wanted to get home early enough to take our mower for a walk around our clover paths before the day heated up.  That white clover of ours is sure growing well and doing much better than any grass we have tried to grow over the years.

Every time  summer's heat settles in it starts me looking forward to the coolness of Autumn and the middle of August when that ever so subtle shift in the night air first begins.  Oh let me count the days...…………….

Another quiet afternoon spent mainly reading, catching up on a few zzzz's and watching a bit of TV.  Slipping once again into the slower paced days of summer I have a tendency to spend more time inside out of the heat, humidity, and pesky bugs.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other guy whips out his phone and calls the emergency services. . He gasps, "My friend is dead! What can I do?". . The operator says "Calm down. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." . There is a silence, then a shot is heard. . Back on the phone, the guy says "OK, now what?" .
