CLINTON'S HULLETT MARSH, GODERICH'S MEDICAL CLINIC, AND LONDON'S UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL

Had we ended up bringing the Leisure Travel van home Wednesday we had planned on taking if for drive Thursday morning down around Grand Bend and Parkhill to let our good friend Ron from Four Seasons Performance have a look at it and maybe give us a few ideas on a couple things.

However, with no van here yet Pheebs and I headed off in the Jeep for a little spin through the local countryside instead and ended up taking a short walk in the Hullett Marsh.  A refreshingly cool morning with no bugs but by the time we got back home the day was already heating up but near as bad as last week.

Doctor Bukala's office needed me to get a 'pre-op' done before next Wednesday so Kelly snagged me an appointment at Goderich's Maitland Valley Medical clinic at 11:30 this morning.  Blood pressure and all the other poking and prodding was Okay so all systems are go for next Wednesday.   However, I was discouraged to see my weight up to 212 pounds.  Of course I never told the nurse I had a 25 pound Sony camera in my shirt pocket.

At 1:45 this afternoon under sunny skies we all piled into the Jeep and once again headed off to London's University Hospital.  Nice drive over and as usual enjoyed the rural scenery along the way.

After dropping Kelly off at the hospital's front door Pheebs and I boogied over to Henrys Camera Store whereupon a bought a kit that enables me to clean dust of the sensors in my Nikon DSLR cameras.  I have had to do a lot of dust spot removing in my D7200 lately.  Many of my photos have spots especially noticeable in sky shots.  My camera has a built in dust cleaner but it doesn't seem to work.  The cleaning swabs I bought today are Visible Dust Thin -X and I have used them before.  From Henrys it was a short hop over to our waiting spot at Masonville Mall.  Big parking area, few people, and grass to walk on.  Great place to put in time while waiting for someone at University hospital which is only about a mile south of the big Mall.  Think it was about 3:45 when Kelly called to say she was ready to go.  Picked her up and headed for McDonalds.  Grabbed ourselves some snacks and coffee to go and we were off for home.  How fortunate we have been 'so far' doing all our appointments in these nice Summer months instead of in the miserable dregs of Winter.  Notice the two key words there....'so far'.

Okay so here's the reader's digest version of Kelly's ongoing liver disease.  It has advanced since 2013 and she is now in the late stages of her liver disease.  She feels fine but the Doctor said he wants her to come in more often now and she is to watch for any signs regarding her liver shutting down.  It's a wait and see thing right now and that's all we can do.  Kelly of course is up about it and for the most part is feeling Okay so we'll just take it one day at a time.  Her next London appointment will be in October for a Cat Scan followed by a meeting with her Doctor in early December or possibly sooner depending on the results of the Scan or any other developments.

The Palmerston folks emailed and said the van should be finished by maybe noon Friday.  Of course I would like to beetle on up there and get it right away but with all the running around lately Kelly is looking forward to doing absolutely nothing tomorrow.  We'll probably pick the van up Saturday morning.  And that's about it for another day here at the Bayfield Bunch:))
