JUST A BEAUTIFUL OCTOBER MORNING FOR A DRIVE THROUGH THE COUNTRYSIDE |
CLOSE TO WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR BUT NOT QUITE |
PARKED ALONGSIDE A TRAILHEAD FOR A WALK IN THE FOREST |
IT'S BEEN NEARLY FORTY YEARS SINCE I LAST WALKED THIS TRAIL EAST OF MITCHELL |
FORESTS ARE MAGICAL PLACES |
IT WAS ABOUT HERE WHERE WE LOST THE TRAIL |
'I THINK WE GO THIS WAY DAD' |
WE'RE ALMOST OUT OF THE FOREST |
YUP THERE'S THE JEEP |
I can tell Pheebs is missing Kelly. She's just not quite herself and she is sticking to me like glue. And she's been needing more snuggles.
LOOKS LIKE THE CORN HARVEST HAS BEGUN IN THIS FIELD |
NO HARVESTING IN THIS CORN FIELD YET |
A COUPLE FARM LANEWAYS ABOVE AND BELOW WITH RED MAPLES ALONG THEIR DRIVEWAYS |
THIS IS MY IDEA OF COUNTRY LIVING |
HEADING HOME THIS MORNING |
------------------------
Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother' s house.
Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.
When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.
"Johnny wait until we say our prayer."
"I don't have to," The boy replied.
"Of course, you do," his mother insisted. "We say a prayer, before eating, at our house."
"That's our house," Johnny explained. "But this is Grandma's house and she knows how to cook."

The one thing I miss most since I moved to Texas from up north is the beautiful fall colors. Thanks for showing us the picture of the beautiful leaves.
ReplyDeleteOnce again Al, your photos tonight are absolutely wonderful. What an eye you have for each and every photo.
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful photos. I haven't seen an eastern fall for years. The west just doesn't have such colourful autumns.

Gotta love these fall colors, That rv looks pretty nice but probably bigger than you are looking for s times the price on these rv especially privately drops drastically in the . a friends of our we from asking 80 k to 40k for his immaculate airstream land yacht class A
ReplyDeleteGood morning Al, I hopped to you from over at the Furry Gnome, your phots are superb, the greenery, autumn leaves, and so much more. We do have autumn colours but in the North Island of NZ not so deep and colourful as in the far south. Otago shows us what those true autumn shades are. Travel safely. Greetings from Jean ( aka Nancy J my blog alternative).
ReplyDeleteGood thing you brought Pheebs along to look at that RV, I'm sure she gave you her opinion on it! ;c)
ReplyDeleteYou still have lots of red!! Down to the oaks and aspen in the Ottawa Valley/Algonquin east where we live.
ReplyDeleteThat RV looks nice, but pricey I’m sure.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful time of year there.
