A BLUSTERY SNOW DAY SO BACK TO ARIZONA WE GO TO FIND JOHNNY RINGO'S GRAVE

Our day greeted us with about three inches of snow on the ground with cold gusting winds swirling it around in a fit of flurries.
SNOW CAPS ON OUR AZALEAS
SNOW COVERED ROADS HEADING INTO BAYFIELD
Sitting in the house at the start of day looking out the window is still not an option in my life so Pheebs and I ventured out for a short jaunt to Bayfield less than a couple miles away.  Winds had died down, visibility was good and roads were snow covered but not icy.
HEADING DOWNHILL TO THE BEACH AND HARBOR AREA
We beetled around Bayfield taking drive-by photos of various wintery looking houses and stuff.  It seems like the bulk of all my photos nowadays are drive-bys.  Am I too lazy to stop and get out of the Jeep or is it my way of not standing in front of somebody's house pointing a camera up the driveway and running the risk of an irate home owner storming out of the house yelling, "hey what the hell are you taking a picture of my house for"!!!!  I can assure you it is the latter.
With temperatures due to rise again over the next few days much of this snow will melt but no matter, I had myself on the end of my snow shovel plowing out my little pathways anyway.  It's always a welcome bit of exercise for me and it bites quite nicely into these now long boring winter days.  Yes, yes I know days are getting shorter now but it doesn't matter how short a winter's day is it's still too long!!
THIS BOAT HAS BEEN SITTING HERE HIGH AND DRY FOR YEARS
::An Archive Post:: December 19th of 2009 found Kelly, Max, Checkers, Motormouse, and I ranch sitting in McNeal Arizona.  On that ranch we head us 3 Donkeys to look after (Poncho, Nellie, and their daughter Sarah) along with a few other feathered and furry critters.  On this particular day my post starts out with me having to thwart some donkey shenanigans….again!!  That done Kelly and I hopped into our Hyundai Santa Fe and headed north up through Cochise County angling eastward towards the Chiricahua Mountains.  We were on one of our 'search and find' day trips again and this time we were looking for a particular hard to find grave site which was not in a cemetery.  Today We Found The Final Resting Place Of Tombstone's Infamous....Johnny Ringo.  When you get there don't forget to click on the photos to enlarge them.

A FRESH NEW CORN COB FOR THE SQUIRRELS
WORKING ON MY LITTLE PATHWAYS
I GUESS THE REASON I FEED THE SQUIRRELS SO WELL IS IN THE HOPES THEY WILL KEEP RETURNING TO ANNOY ME
GROANER'S CORNER:(( One day an Englishman walks into a dentist's office and asks how much it will cost to extract wisdom teeth.  "Eighty pounds," the dentist says.  "That's a ridiculous amount," the man says. "Isn't there a cheaper way?"  "Well," the dentist says, "if you don't use an anaesthetic, I can knock it down to £60."  "That's still too expensive," the man says.  "Okay," says the dentist. "If I save on anaesthesia and simply rip the teeth out with a pair of pliers, I could get away with charging £20."  "Nope," moans the man, "it's still too much."  "Hmm," says the dentist, scratching his head. "If I let one of my students do it for the experience, I suppose I could charge you just £10."  "Marvelous," says the man, "book my wife for next Tuesday!"

Little Johnny's homework assignment was about The War of 1776.  As Johnny was doing his homework he asked his father, "Who was it that said 'we haven't started to fight yet'?"  "A bride and groom, still on their honeymoon I guess," growled his dad.

  5. Happy New Year to you three! I'm one of those who looks at snow through the window and doesn't venture outside. The snow does look beautiful from your warm Jeep window though.
