EVERYONE WAS ORDERLY AND RESPECTFUL

PHEEBS BOUNDING ALONG THE FOREST TRAIL THIS MORNING
Another beautiful sun drenched day found Pheebs and I out for both a morning and afternoon forest walk.  Needing a few things at  Goderich's Walmart's Pharmacy I found the store to be totally normal earlier this morning.  Not a jamload of people and no line-ups.  Everyone was orderly and respectful of every one else's needs and space.  Shelves were well stocked and staff were courteous and friendly.  I did not see any panic buying.
ANOTHER SIGN OF EARLY SPRING IS THE COLTSFOOT FLOWER
PERIWINKLE FLOWERS ARE BEGINNING TO BLOOM
On our way home Pheebs and I stopped for another relaxing walk in one of the many forests in our area.  Hard for me to imagine people living in cities without access to forests, lakes, rolling hills, pastures, sleepy tree lined country roads, fresh air, cows and horses with some of those horses pulling old order Amish folks in buggies behind them.  Quaint little country churches, old graying wooden barns and colorful new ones as well.  And sheep too.  Thought about all these things on our peaceful fresh air forest walk this morning.
WE'RE ON ANOTHER FOREST TRAIL

SOON THOSE TREES WILL BURST FORTH IN ALL THEIR SPRING FINERY
SOME FOREST FLOOR PLANTS REMAIN GREEN ALL WINTER UNDER WINTER'S SNOW
HERE PHEEBS STOPS TO SMELL A PATCH OF SNOWDROP FLOWERS
A great day to fritter and putter about outside.  A utility trailer load of yard waste to the dump, cleaned the front yard frog pond, and relocated a lot of RV stuff from cardboard boxes to plastic bins in case of long time storage.
With the way things are right now in the world and for the foreseeable and long range future I'm sure we are not the only ones with RV plans on indefinite hold or maybe right down the drain forever.  Everything is such a big unknown.  Even more than ever now we have to consider ourselves so fortunate to have had the RVing years we did.  Hardest part for me is......I still have that darn 'hitch-itch' following me around.  That sense of adventure. That desire to travel that extra mile to see what's around the next bend in the road.  I've always had that, still do, and probably always will.  And you know what......I think it's a pretty darn good thing to have.
TREES ARE COMING DOWN IN OUR BEAUTIFUL PINE FOREST PARK AGAIN:((
GROANER'S CORNER:((    The young couple invited their aged parson for Sunday dinner.  While they were in the kitchen preparing the meal, the minister asked their son what they were having.  "Goat," the little boy replied.  "Goat?" replied the startled man of the cloth, "Are you sure about that?"  "Yep," said the youngster. "I heard Pa say to Ma, 'Might as well have the old goat for dinner today as any other day.'"

- Only in North America... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and leave useless things and junk in boxes in the garage...
- Only in America... do we use the word politics to describe the process so well. Poli in Latin meaning many and tics meaning blood sucking creatures!!

  1. Things aren't as orderly here and there are no masks or antiseptic wipes anywhere. Lots of empty shelves and hoarders. Glad you and Pheebs have so many nice places to go visiting. Really with you on the hitch itch and that last groaner! Stay well!

  2. Glad to hear things are more normal at the grocery store now. I found that true at the Green Valley Walmart last week too. Hoping the RV world is not too affected for long. As long as BLM is open our style of RVing won't be too affected. I'm certainly not noticing anything so far.

  3. Thank you for the nice photos you take as always. In these bleak times (and weather sometimes too) it is always a joy to click your blog and discover beauty in nature. Of course loving Pheebs antics and the little stories you come up with about the birds in your yard.

  5. I do appreciate your willingness to get out there and take some photos and tell a story. I've managed to avoid anything resembling a crowd, and any stores I've had to got to (Food Basics at seven and Costco when they opened) were well organised and not overly busy. That is, until I came out of Costco, and witness a line-up that went around the building. And we all know just how large a Costco building is. Carry On. And wash your hands.

  6. Be grateful that you can still go out driving and walking with Pheebs. So many now need permission to just go to the grocery store. Today there are many stories suggesting that this could go on until the fall. If so that will certainly stop the snowbirds from heading south.

Bonus day, I can comment today :)
