NICE TO SEE PAINTED TURTLES IN OUR PARK'S POND AGAIN THIS YEAR |
KELLY SET SOME OF OUR INSIDE PLANTS OUTSIDE ON THE COVERED FRONT PORCH THIS AFTERNOON |
THERE'S A REASON MOST OF THE GRACKLES AND STARLINGS ARE ON THE GROUND INSTEAD OF THE FEEDER STATION |
AND THAT MOURNING DOVE IS THE REASON....ALTHOUGH OUTNUMBERED BY GRACKLES THAT DOVE KICKED EVERY ONE OF THOSE BLACK GUYS OFF THE FEEDER |
THE DOVE SITS PASSIVELY THEN SUDDENLY LUNGES AT THE CRACKLES SCARING THE BA-JEEBERS OUT OF THEM |
MOURNING DOVES ARE DEFINITELY THE BOSS AROUND FEEDERS AND I'VE SEEN THEM PUT THE RUN ON BLUE JAYS TOO |
NO FROGS IN OUR FRONT YARD FROG POND YET |
SO NICE TO SEE THINGS PUSHING UP OUT OF THE GROUND AT THIS TIME OF YEAR |
MAPLE LEAF BUDS |
AND I THINK THIS MIGHT BE SUMAC LEAVES BUDDING OUT |
DAFFODIL |
A MALE ROBIN OUT HUNTING WORMS |
SPOTTED PARK RESIDENTS NANCY AND SCOTT OUT FOR A WALK AROUND THE POND THIS AFTERNOON |
LUCKILY, NANCY AND SCOTT TOLD ME WHERE THESE TURTLES WERE HIDING |
THERE WERE A LOT OF FISH NEAR THE SURFACE FEEDING THIS AFTERNOON |
AND THERE'S THE LITTLE FURRY KID HERSELF |
=================
Glad you got the shot. I've had both Modernas, second one I had, a day after feeling like I had flu with 101 fever. But that was it. I'm glad I had it. Since Kelly's not a candidate,it is a very good thing you've done it. Proud of you. Didn't know you were leery. I think its going to be like getting flu shot every year from now on. I've done it and just as well add another one to the list.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, mourning doves looking serious at the feeder. White winged doves, which I never saw in my first 30 years in central Texas, have now gradually moved in. I don't have a bird feeder, but they do take over my neighbor's! BIG birds.
Thank You for getting your shot. If more people would take care of this the better the chance to kill it off. I had my second shot yesterday and so far so good, but hear the third day might not be so good. But it sure is better to be sick one day compared to being dead sooner than I'd like.
ReplyDeleteAl, not only have I gained 10 pounds, but I'm noticing my legs aren't moving as fast as they used to. Hubby has gained over 20 pounds during this pandemic. We weren't getting out AT ALL for so long and now we are a couple of... slugs.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are now vaccinated, welcome to the proactive.
ReplyDeleteThe Desert Southwest misses you too. Would sure like to here the Bayfield Bunch is coming this winter.
Drive your RV to the border, fly over and pickup RV and come to Arizona, option 1. OR at this point - just drive over and come on down to Arizona. Everyone else is coming so don't hold back and suffer.

ReplyDeleteSpelling errors and can't figure how to edit. Anyway....Both Moderna shots left little side effects except 101 fever with second shot for a few hours.
DeleteGood decision! Neat reflection shot too.
