DRAT, NOW I HAD SOME DECISIONS TO MAKE

THERE WERE A COUPLE FLYING WIND SURFERS OUT AT GODERICH'S ROTARY COVE EARLIER TODAY
Well, I went and did a silly this morning.  I have an assortment of vitamins and prescription pills that I take each morning.  At night, I also take a sleeping pill and a Tylenol nighttime sinus pill.  Yup, you probably have already guessed it. In a groggy state, and with my mind absorbed by other things, I walked out into the kitchen, poured a half glass of milk, and proceeded to wash down my pills.  The only problem was, I unthinkingly washed down my nighttime pills. !!#*^!%#  Drats, now I had some decisions to make, with one of them being, if I have a shower right now, I should be okay, but if I have a shower in twenty minutes to half an hour from now, I could fall asleep in the shower and drown.  Oh Dear, decisions-decisions.

FARMERS WERE AGAIN BUSY IN THEIR FIELDS THIS MORNING
THIS GUY IS OBVIOUSLY SPREADING SOME PRETTY SMELLY STUFF

STAGHORN SUMAC IS A FAVORITE OF MINE
To say I had a very lazy and sleepy morning would be putting it mildly.  In fact, I fell asleep twice and was only awakened the second time by a ringing phone.  It was ContinuIT, the computer shop in Goderich, calling to let me know my laptop computer is fixed.  I had taken it in last week after it froze up.

I THOUGHT THIS VW BEETLE LOOKED KINDA GROOVY....HEY, AND IT EVEN HAS A SUNROOF
As readers know, I sleep in my recliner every night because of some kind of problem I've had for a number of years where I can't lay flat, and especially on my side.  The big old leather recliner I've been sleeping in for the past decade had reached the point where the springs were shot, and it just wasn't comfortable for me anymore.  I switched it out with the big old leather recliner in the sun room but that was even worse.  Late last Fall, with Kelly's health failing, she didn't find the new swivel recliner she bought in London, comfortable anymore, so we stopped into Goderich's Re-UseIt store where she found a used recliner that she liked.  Her London recliner did't recline very far so it was no good for me to sleep in.  I decided last week to try that pre-owned recliner from the ReUseIt store for sleeping in, but it was uncomfortable, and I was bothered by several poor nights of sleep.  Today, knowing I had to do something about my recliner problem, I popped into the Brick store in Goderich and test drove a few recliners.  I settled on one I liked.  Luckily, it had been marked down from $969.00 to $539.00, but there was a problem.  Delivery of that model chair would not be until September.  There was no way I could wait that long so I asked if I could by the floor model and they said yes.  Less than half an hour later I was on my way home with a spanking brand new recliner stuffed into the back of the Subaru.  Luckily, the backs always pull off of recliners which makes them easier to deal with.  Once home, came the problem of getting it out of the car by myself, transporting it to the house, getting it up the three steps on our back porch, and then getting it through the door into the house.  Well, decades ago in a seemingly different life time I had several jobs that involved delivering furniture so I knew this was a job I could do by myself, and did.  Tonight will be my first night sleeping in the new recliner so I hope I don't have to start Thursday's post with the words, 'Oh No'!!

ALL LOADED UP AT THE BRICK STORE AND READY TO GO....AND YES, THE HATCH CLOSED JUST FINE
AND NOW TO GET IT OUT OF THE CAR
THANK HEAVENS I HAVE A FRIDGE CART FOR JOBS LIKE THIS....NOW, TO GET IT UP THOSE THREE STEPS ON THE RIGHT AND NO I DIDN'T USE THE FRIDGE CART TO DO THAT.....I APPLIED SOME MAGIC  TO THE CHAIR AND UP IT WENT:))
NOW, TO GET IT THROUGH THE DOOR....AND I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO USE A CROWBAR
AND, WALLA (VOILA CRAIG SAID) AND IT'S IN PLACE....NOTHING FANCY AND NO ELECTRONICS....AND NO LEATHER, WHICH I HAVE NEVER LIKED ANYWAY
Thanks to readers for their comments of help and advice about what to do about my Kindle problem that I had posted about a couple of blogs ago.  With it being a cloudy day today, I hope to spend some time inside with my Kindle, trying to resolve the issue.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( You might be a redneck if...........

- Your home has more miles on it than your car.
- Your Christmas tree is still up in February.
-You've ever been arrested for loitering.
- You think that potted meat on a saltine is a hors d'oeuvre.
- There is a stuffed possum somewhere in your house.
- You hammer bottle caps into the frame of your front door to make it look nice.
- You own a homemade fur coat.
- Your wife can climb a tree faster than your cat.
-Your momma has "ammo" on her Christmas list.

- I just finished building a car using a motor from a washing machine. I'm going to take it for a spin later.

Q: How can you tell if the little Moron is a good cook?
A: He gets the pop tart out of the toaster in one piece.

Two rednecks were given a special intelligence test to meet their admission requirements to the Military Academy. Soon after the test began the first guy turns to the second guy and asks, "Old MacDonald had a what?" The other replies, "He had a farm." The first asks, "How do you spell it?" To which the second replied, "E-I-E-I-O."

  1. Wow, well done on that recliner move to your place. Careful of your back! 25 cent hamburgers? whoa...a few years ago, haha. Re your Kindle, I liked the idea from a commenter just to go to your Library...they'll apparently get it downloading books in no time. Easier than getting flustered trying yourself (as I would be very flustered).

  3. Your new chair looks to fit perfectly in its new location. I hope you find it very comfortable. That toy that Pheebs has in her mouth looks exactly like one that my dogs love too.

Does this include AI art? I want by human hands, not some fake, computer generated art. Been to yt lately? They need to say upfront if a video is AI. People are believing stuff is real. Just look at the comments. Since I'm already complaining, ditch the tired redneck. Not funny.

    3. Not negative. Frustrated and feel like computer art is now considered to be as unique as human creativity. Not hard to tell a computer what to make.

  5. I too have no desire to sit in the hot sun and humidity! Your new recliner is really good looking - I love that color. Always nice to be able to get stuff done on our own. Great variety in today's gallery regardless of its source (it's not an art gallery or online store after all).

  6. The picture of the girl waking up to see the hot air balloons is beautiful. I've had that scene hundreds of mornings in my life. The inflation and liftoff never gets old .
