| WHILE MOMS ON THE PHONE, HER DAUGHTER IS DOING THE BOOGALOO ON BAYFIELD'S NORTH PIER SUNDAY NIGHT |
A sunny, hot and humid start to the day, but that's okay because sometimes we like it that way. Oh really!! Lorraine and I spent a nice Sunday evening in Bayfield and fell right dagnabbit back into our ice cream routine. Oh well, what's a gain of 50 pounds here or there amongst friends eh. A walk out onto Bayfield's south pier at sunset, and a nice leisurely cruise around Bayfield's cozy tree-lined streets, topped off the day.

With Subie needing gas, I slipped into Bayfield this morning and topped up the tank. A drive down around both the south and north sides of the Bayfield River at the harbor netted me a few boat photos. Something different for a change instead of cows, farm machinery, and wheat fields.

Home again, Woodsy (Lorraine) took the Subaru, picked up our good neighbor Monica, and drove her to an eye appointment in Clinton. It wasn't long before they were back, and neither one of them had gotten themselves into any kind of serious trouble.

| IMAGINE MY SURPRISE WHEN I WALKED OUT SUNDAY MORNING AND SAW ALL THIS GRASS GROWING ALREADY |
With the temperature hovering around 90F with humidity to match, there was no going outside for this guy today so I settled into my comfy sunroom recliner with my Kindle and continued reading my latest book, Afterlife Preview by Stephan Hauley Martin. I've just started this book and I agree with what I am reading. I have read many books on this subject over the past few years, and this book kind of wraps all those books up in a short summary.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( For a couple of years, I've been blaming it on a lack of sleep and too much pressure from my job, but now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. The population of this country is 237 million. 104 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to do the work. There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work. Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work. 2.8 million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 16.2 million to do the work. Take from the total the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Governments, and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work. At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving 1,212,000 to do the work. Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And you're sitting at your computer reading jokes.----------------------------------------
I need to re-home a dog. It's a small terrier and tends to bark a lot. If you're interested, let me know and I'll climb over my neighbor's fence and get it for you.
Answering Machine Message sung to the tune of
"Camptown Races"::
I can't come to the telephone; doo-dah, doo-dah.
Leave your message when you hear the tone; oh, de doo-dah day. Might be gone all night... Might be gone all day...So leave a message when you hear the tone...And I might call you back someday...

A man takes his place in the theater, but his seat is too far from the stage. He whispers to the usher, "This is a mystery, and I have to watch a mystery close up. Get me a better seat, and I'll give you a handsome tip." The usher moves him into the second row, and the man hands the usher a quarter. The usher looks at the quarter, leans over, and whispers, "The wife did it."
