A shower Sunday night left us with cloudy skies and cooler temperatures this morning. The cooler temps (63F) were very much most welcome. Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse, but the Crows were cawing all around the house. A short drive down Bayfield River Road and back for me, with a few pics along the way.

Unlike the majority of people who carry and like their cell phones for communication, that is not the phone's priority for me. I like the fact that it has camera capabilities. However, I have always found a cell phone extremely awkward to handle for taking photos. Due to the phone's shape, it is most convenient for people to snap quick vertical pictures, many of which should have been taken in a horizontal format. Trying to take horizontal photos (scenery, etc.) I found it extremely difficult, irritating, and not practical. Trying to twist my thumb around to reach the phone's shutter button was impractical, and I always worried about dropping the phone. So, enter the JJC Magnetic Phone Camera Grip . Yes, it adds some weight and bulk to the phone, but that is totally acceptable to me. Now, I feel quite comfortable handling the phone as a camera:))

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Many years ago, in the South Pacific, there was a small island kingdom that was ruled by a kind and benevolent King. Each year, on the King's birthday, the residents of the island gave the King a new throne as a token of their love and respect for him. And each year, the King would put last year's gift up in the attic of his small grass house. After many years of ruling the island, the weight of the large number of birthday presents stored up in the attic became too heavy and caused the house to collapse down on the King. The moral to the story is: He who lives in grass house shouldn't stow thrones.

A woman walked up to a little old man rocking in a chair on his porch. "I couldn't help noticing how happy you look," she said. "What's your secret for a long happy life?" "I smoke three packs of cigarettes a day," he said. "I also drink a case of whiskey a week, eat fatty foods, and never exercise." "That's amazing," said the woman, "how old are you?" "Twenty-six," he said.

- Why does life keep teaching me lessons I have no desire to learn.
History Teacher: "Why was George Washington standing in the bow of the boat as the army crossed the Delaware?"
Student: "Because he knew if he sat down, he would have to row."

So Moses is up on Mount Sinai and he says to God, "God, do I have a pounding headache!"
And God says, "Here, take these two tablets."
