Despite the overnight temperature dipping down to the freezing mark of 32°F this morning, it actually turned out to be a decent full sun day. Not a cloud in the sky on my walk this morning, and it was a good day for loading up the branches I had trimmed off yesterday and hauling them down to the Parks recycling area. Woodsy is feeling a wee touch better today so we made it out to catch a Sunday night Bayfield sunset and a couple of ice cream cones at Rosie's Ice Cream Shoppe. At any time now, Rosies will close for the season, and it won't be any more ice cream cones for us guys until next May sometime. I don't know if we have enough fortitude to make it all the way through the winter without our ice cream cones....... A FEW PHOTOS FROM OUR PARK THIS MORNING

GROANER'S CORNER:(( One afternoon a little boy was playing outdoors. He used his mother's broom as a horse and had a wonderful time until it was getting dark. He left the broom on the back porch. His mother was cleaning up the kitchen when she realized that her broom was missing. She asked the little boy about the broom and he told her where it was. She then asked him to please go get it. The little boy informed his mom that he was afraid of the dark and didn't want to go out to get the broom. His mother smiled and said 'The Lord is out there too, don't be afraid'. The little boy opened the back door a little and said 'Lord, if you're out here, could you please hand me the broom'.

A gentleman entered a busy florist shop that displayed a large sign that read "Say It With Flowers." "Wrap up one rose," he told the florist. "Only one?" the florist asked. "Just one," the customer replied. "I'm a man of few words."

Beautiful autumn pictures !

ReplyDeleteThe autumn photos in Al's Gallery were spectacular! Thank you and take care.
ReplyDeleteOnce Rosie's closes, buy some frozen ice cream and some cones... always ice cream time at home with your freezer stocked! Not the same, but better than doing without. I don't know how it's possible, but your photos get better and better. Incredible talent ...
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed everything about this post- Mary
ReplyDeleteNo ice cream until next spring?! So sad. In the meantime your fall pix are great!
