First bit of business this morning was to take Subie to Bayfield's car wash and get all the corrosive salt washed off of her. What a mess it was. On the way home, I slipped along Bayfield's Main Street and then down to the beach area for a few photos.

10. When you say something to your kids that your mother said to you, and you always hated it.
11. When all you want for your birthday is to not be reminded of your age.
12. When you step off a curb and look down one more time to make sure the street is still there.
13. Your idea of weight lifting is standing up.

A husband was having great difficulty getting along with his wife. Nothing but arguing and friction, so he decided to consult a marriage counselor. After they had talked for a while, the counselor said, I suggest that you run five miles each day for a week. Then please call me back. A week later the counselor received a call from the husband. Well, asked the counselor, "how are things going with you and your wife?"
How should I know, said the husband. I'm thirty-five miles away.

Many of your "groaner's corner" picks made me laugh - and we certainly need more to laugh about as we grow older... Thanks for all the time and effort you put into your posts. I look forward to them every evening !
ReplyDeleteDon't give up, Al. Just take a break trying things. But keep on trying the Kindle thingy because of your love of reading. Passwords/passcodes are a pain, and writing them down in a little private notebook will help. I do that now, but I'm afraid a robber will find the notebook and really screw up my life...haha. As though!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe've gotta laugh at our aging selves.
Glad your weather is getting milder and snow is melting.
Thank you Al for the quote from the Dalai Lama. That one will stick with me …. I hope :-)
ReplyDeleteI hear you Al with your frustrations with all the hi-tech items we deal with these days. I believe the older wake get, the harder it is to learn the new technology. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI think it was a year or two ago where Kindle came out with a newer version. I don't use it as much as you do but it is frustrating to me, an old computer geek. It does not synchronize to all my devices. Some books are there, a month later they are not. Luckily I can keep up with the technology at 73 but every time they update their system (computers/phones/pads) nothing seems to work right.
ReplyDeleteTuesday's sunset photos are so amazing - especially the 1st two with trees. The painting of dog outside the old barn/house is kind of sad. Our weather in Dayton is miserable today (cold, gloomy, strong winds, flash freeze, snowing) - ugh. BUT *** it's also the coldest of next 10 with several in the 50's & low 60's by Christmas & afterwards.! Too late to be called "Indian Summer" - but, I'll gladly take it. Stay Safe, Al. Love.
