HOW NICE TODAY TO HAVE A BIG SLUG OF SPRING TONIC SO EARLY IN JANUARY

WHAT A NICE SPRING-LIKE DAY FOR PEOPLE TO BE OUT FOR A WALK
Up a tad earlier this morning because I had an appointment with my Nurse Practitioner at the Maitland Valley Health Center in Goderich. Luckily, we don't have any nasty winter weather going on at the moment, and I was well on time for my appointment.  In fact, we got up to 42°F today under sunny afternoon skies.  From the medical center, I headed straightaway to A&W for a sit-down bacon and eggs breakfast.  I hadn't done that since the last time I had done that. A few more stops in Goderich, and I set a course for home.

At 1:30 this afternoon I rolled into the Bayfield Library, where I had an appointment with someone to help me with all this password, passkey, verification, and gobbely goop confusion that has been causing me so much stress lately.  Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, my laptop computer would not connect to the Library's Wi-Fi despite the lady's best efforts, and I was not able to get anything resolved.  However, she was able to help me out with a few things regarding my iPhone.  Now, if only could remember what those few things were.

BEFORE MY LIBRARY APPOINTMENT, I SLIPPED DOWN TO BAYFIELD'S BEACH TO SEE HOW THE BEACH WORK WAS PROGRESSING, AND NOTICED THEY HAD PUT A FENCE UP

Following the Library, I slipped over to Bayfield's Pioneer Park to take a few photos.  With it being such a nice day, I next headed to the Bayfield Cemetery, where I figured I would take myself for a much-needed walk.  Well, that didn't happen because the roads in the cemetery were really gnarly with ice, snow, slush, mud, and water.  Even the All Wheel Drive Subaru was slipping and sliding around in the slushy ruts.  So, home I went and enjoyed the rest of the nice day.  In fact, it felt like I had just had a big slug of Spring Tonic on an early January day.  We're forecasted to go up to 52F tomorrow.  Can you say, 'Bermuda Shorts':))

GROANER'S CORNER:(( The little Moron walks into an auto parts store, and the parts man asks how he is doing and what he can do for him. He replies, "Fine, I need a seven-ten cap for my car." The man asks," A seven-ten cap? Where does it go, I've never heard of such a thing."  The little Moron angrily replies, "It goes on top of the engine and don't think just because I'm a Moron I don't know what I'm talking about!!" Perplexed, the parts man asks if he would draw him a picture and maybe help him out in figuring out what it is he needs..... Reader: Draw the number 710 in the middle of a piece of paper and draw a circle around the whole number. Now turn the paper upside down.

I saw a book at the store today called "How to end 50% of your problems." I bought two of them.

Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter, ten men and one woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one has to drop off, otherwise they are all going to fall. They were not able to choose that person, but then the woman made a very touching speech.  She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because as a woman she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids, and for men in general, without ever getting anything in return. As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping their hands.

  1. I live in the far northwestern corner of America, and I love it, but the far southwestern part of America has a desert beauty of its own.....I have lived in Ohio, Alaska, Idaho, and the state of Washington.... there is no way to decide which state is most beautiful.....I have also visited the states of New York, Florida, North Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, California, Arizona and Hawaii... and still I would like to visit others...... I have visited Vancouver, Canada - the only place I have been out of the USA.

    1. Vancouver: one of Canada's loveliest areas...hope you went to the Butchart Gardens in March or April on Vancouver Island...just a lovely ferry ride from Vancouver. I've (until...ahem...recently) visited Washington State a lot, twice a year for about 6 years, shopping for my grandson. Loved it...Wenatchee was my base, lovely people, warm and welcoming.

  2. Al, thank you for the photo of Old Lonesome. Try and I might, I didn't see any hay on the ground for him...just that narrow path and who knows what's laying on it. But he looks good. I just wish he had some company...another horse, a donkey -- anything. So sad.
Glad you've got nice weather! Wonder why your computer wouldn't work on the Library's WiFi !!!!! That's odd. Bet your A&W breakfast was delish...even with the toast a tad charred *grin*.

    1. I totally agree with you regarding Old Lonesome, it's sad he has no hay on the ground & worse yet is the fact that being old & probably cold , his human has no placed a thick quilted cape over his body ! 😰 😰
