HAVE YOU EVER HEARD GRASS SEED GIGGLING

 ANOTHER BAYFIELD SUNSET

Thursday: A beautiful, sunny, blue sky with temps reaching 63F.  I took full advantage of that and wore myself out with the take down of our back yard lattice work arbor, plus a few other little projects.  By the end of the day, I didn't have enough energy left to even think about putting a blog post together.  However, all was not lost, when after a hot shower I felt revitalized enough to hop in the car and drive myself to the now open Thursday to Sunday Woodland Drive-In.  With $2.25 in hand, I soon had my face into a small soft ice cream cone, called a 'Twister'.  Following that, it was down to the beach to catch the day's sunset.  Not wanting to go straight home, I slipped into Bayfield for a few more photos.  Bolstered by the evening air, and with my driver's window down, I slipped out of Bayfield and headed for my night sky spot on Tower Hill Road, northwest of Clinton, Ontario.  And, I brought my thoughts with me this time as I stood on the country road gazing skyward.  A nice way to wrap up another day.

Friday: Rain began shortly after I got up and that was Okay because I was thinking of all the grass seed I have recently spread about.  Have you ever heard grass seeds giggling?  I did this morning.  Needing a few groceries, I followed my windshield wipers to Goderich with a stop at McD's for a coffee and a carrot muffin to go.  This was the first McDonald's carrot muffin I've had in over a year, with the last time being with my good buddy Richard on one of our last Thursday morning country coffee drives.  After a quick stop at Walmart and the Canadian Tire Store, I headed for home.

IT WAS A DULL GRAY RAINY DAY OUT AT GODERICH'S ROTARY COVE THIS MORNING

With sunshine breaking through the clouds early this afternoon, I was soon out into our back yard to take the remaining arbor framework down.  Luckily, it didn't give me too much of a problem.  Once down, I then roto-tilled the area to get more roots out of the ground.  Following that, I raked it all level and then rolled it.  Tomorrow I will sprinkle the area with grass seed.  I would have done that today, but by late afternoon, I barely had enough energy left to walk back into the house.  A good sleep tonight will take care of that, and tomorrow I will get that grass seed in.

 FINALLY DONE AND TOMORROW I WILL TOSS SOME GRASS SEED IN THERE

GROANER'S CORNER:(( Scene: A courtroom in Oklahoma where a person is on trial for murder. There is strong evidence indicating guilt; however, there is no corpse. In the defense's closing statement, the lawyer, knowing that his client is guilty and that it looks like he'll probably be convicted, resorts to a clever trick. "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I have a surprise for you all," the lawyer says as he looks at his watch. "Within 1 minute, the person presumed dead in this case will walk into this court room," he says and he looks toward the courtroom door. The jury, somewhat stunned, all look on eagerly. A minute passes. Nothing happens. Finally the lawyer says: 'Actually, I made up the previous statement. But you all looked on with anticipation. I, therefore, put it to you that there is reasonable doubt in this case as to whether anyone was killed and insist that you return a verdict of not guilty." The jury, clearly confused, retires to deliberate. A few minutes later, the jury returns, and a representative pronounces a verdict of guilty. "But how?" inquires the lawyer. "You must have had some doubt; I saw all of you stare at the door." The representative answers: "Oh, we did look. But your client didn't."

A motorist caught by a speed camera received notification of a fine in the mail, plus a picture of his vehicle. Duly impressed, he sent back the notification along with a photo of a $100 note to pay the fine.
