Bonus...another windless morning found me out at my walking road. It is the season of the year now when everything is so lush and so green. If only winter could be shortened to maybe one day.
Needing to get a patio screen door repaired, it was off to Goderich I went with a cool, fine mist in the air. A few horse pictures along the way. IT WAS KIND OF CROWDED IN THE CAR THIS MORNING WITH A LARGE PATIO SCREEN DOOR IN THERE WITH ME

LOOKS LIKE I HAVE SOME MORE GARDENING AHEAD OF ME
On my way to Goderich this morning I was thinking how lucky I am to be living where I do. I can reach a Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire, a hospital, Tim Hortons, 3 Pharmacies, 2 major food chains, 3 gas bars, Home Hardware, Harveys, Swiss Chalet, A&W, McDonalds, and Wendys plus a whole number of smaller retail outlets with only a few traffic lights to deal with. And all of them within 20 minutes of where I live in this quiet country setting at the Bayfield Pines. It's also a quiet paved country road drive between here & Goderich with very little traffic, unless I take the highway which I very rarely do, Yes, I am very fortunate indeed to be living where I do now after a life of moving around (sometimes only a few months) in places like Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Vernon, British Columbia, Kitchener, Stratford, near Fullarton, and Tavistock, Ontario. I have never lived longer in one place than I have lived right here where I am now at the Bayfield Pines. Been here well over twenty-three years. Looks like I just might stay put this time:)) ANOTHER PILE OF THE ORIENTAL BITTERSWEET VINE
I found this video interesting and revealing....Three Things You Don't Need After Eighty..Let It Go LOOKS LIKE AN AMERICAN B52 BOMBER PASSED OVER GODERICH IN THE NIGHT AND DROPPED A STICK OF BOMBS IN THE MALL PARKING LOT NEAR FOOD BASICS....THIS IS THREE OF SEVEN WATER FILLED CRATERS
Al's Music Box:: Take It Easy by The Eagles. A BIG DOGGY GETS A TUMMY RUB ON THE BOARDWALK THIS MORNING
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A young girl who was writing a paper for school came to her father and asked, “Dad, what is the difference between anger and exasperation?” The father replied, “It is mostly a matter of degree. Let me show you what I mean.” With that the father went to the telephone and dialed a number at random. To the man who answered the phone, he said, “Hello, is Melvin there?” The man answered, “There is no one living here named Melvin. Why don't you learn to look up numbers before you dial”. “See,” said the father to his daughter. “That man was not a bit happy with our call. He was probably very busy with something and we annoyed him. Now watch….”The father dialed the number again. “Hello, is Melvin there?” asked the father. “Now look here!” came the heated reply. “You just called this number and I told you that there is no Melvin here! You've got lot of guts calling again!” The receiver slammed down hard. The father turned to his daughter and said, “You see, that was anger. Now I'll show you what exasperation means.” He dialed the same number, and when a violent voice roared, “Hello!” The father calmly said, “Hello, this is Melvin. Have there been any calls for me?”
Missy: "Really? How did you do it?'
Mindy: "I opened the door and pushed him out."

Guessing that gorgeous flowering tree at Rotary Cove might be a flowering crabapple? Stunning, whatever it is. Yes, Al, you are lucky to live where you do... so close to amenities yet it's far enough away to be peaceful and serene. Wow, you've moved a lot. Holy Hannah! Nice to see Vernon on that list...too bad our paths never crossed when you lived here! Lovely new and tasty grass for the horses! Re that nasty vine, you've no doubt found the main stem where it all started going crazy. I heard something the other day about how to kill a tree or vine after you cut it down. Pound a copper nail into the center of the remaining trunk, and it'll die right down to the roots. I've never seen copper nails, so who knows??? ha ha That's a beautiful hydrangea you bought...my place is too darn hot for hydrangeas, darn, because I love them especially the laceleaf hydrangeas. So glad the blog's working well again, thanks Al. Thanks for the Eagles song...I love them!
