| DIDN'T TAKE ANY PHOTOS TODAY, BUT I HAVE A FEW FROM YESTERDAY....THIS IS GODERICH'S COASTLINE |
Our seasonal change and transition from summer into Autumn is in full swing, with notably shorter days, cooler nighttime temperatures, and rainier days. This seasonal change is welcome, but the change from Autumn to Winter is not, and that will likely begin in a month from now!! It will then be time to slip on the long underwear and batten down the hatches for the long, rough five-month ride through winter's frigid cold and stormy days until early April. Now, how's that for a positive start on a gloomy, cool, rainy Tuesday morning eh........

I finished power washing the front deck and front yard patio stones yesterday, and today, between rain showers, I started on the back deck. My electric power washer does an okay job, but probably not as good a job as a professional gas power washer. I can get a lot of the mold off the wood, but I think a more powerful washer might get into the wood itself and really dig out dirt and grime. Oh well, it are what it are and I will keep at this slow and tedious job until I git er done!!

GROANERS CORNER:(( A young naval student was being put through the paces by an old sea captain. "What would you do if a sudden storm sprang up on the starboard?" "Throw out an anchor, sir," the student replied. "What would you do if another storm sprang up aft?" "Throw out another anchor, sir." "And if another terrific storm sprang up forward, what would you do then?" asked the captain. "Throw out another anchor, sir." "Hold on," said the captain. "Where are you getting all those anchors from?" "From the same place you're getting all your storms, sir."-------------------------
"Doctor, my memory's gone. Gone! I can't remember my wife's name. Can't remember my children's names. Can't remember what kind of car I drive. Can't remember where I work. It was all I could do to find my way here." "Calm down. How long have you been like this?" "Like what?"

Mr. Dewey was briefing his client, who was about to testify in his own defense. "You must swear to tell the complete truth. Do you understand?" The client replied that he did. Then the lawyer asked, "Do you know what will happen if you don't tell the truth?" The client looked back and said, "I imagine that our side will win."

I think your pictures look a little dismal tonight, but I know that is the way life is - some good days, some not so good..... But I do very much look forward to your posts, pictures, and thoughts....
ReplyDeleteYou're doing a super job with the power washer! Wood looks so fresh and new... well done, Al.

Lake Huron is so beautiful when it is not winter. I know how you feel about winter. We hated it. However in Tennessee, it still comes, just later and it goes away sooner. I am glad Danny moved us to Chattanooga over 33 years ago.
