THANKS SABRA FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE

A HERD OF EVENING CATTLE TONIGHT
With a heavy cloud cover Wednesday night and everything soaked from the day's heavy rains, I didn't bother going out anywhere Wednesday evening.

WE DON'T NORMALLY SEE LARGE CLOUDS LIKE THIS, BUT I SPOTTED THIS ONE LOOKING SOUTHEAST TUESDAY EVENING
BIG CLOUDS IN THE NORTHWEST SKY TUESDAY NIGHT AS WELL
Rains again came in the night, making for another dark, overcast day today.  I sometimes derive very little inspiration from days like these.  However, I did manage to kick myself out the door to take Subie for a drive into and around Bayfield for a bit.

LAKE HURON WAS CHOPPY THIS MORNING
Stopped at the Subway Shop and ordered myself up a yummy 12" Great Canadian' sub.  Ham, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomatos, green peppers, onions, and honey mustard sauce.  Totally yummy, but oh my, the price.  I almost had to go out and put a 'For Sale' sign on the Subaru to pay for it.  I'll not be doing that again.  Either that or I'll make sure to just get a 6" Sub instead.  At least with the 12" Sub, I still have half left for supper.

Sabra rolled in at 10:20 and was soon hard at work again in her Mom's room.  I stayed out in the living room, and had it not been raining, I would have been outside getting some serious puttering taken care of.  It wasn't until 3:30 that skies began to brighten and our 58F temperature slowly began to rise.  About time, I'd say.  Fifty-eight degrees might have seemed absolutely wonderful in late March, but in the middle of June....not so much!!  With only one short break, Sabra worked pretty much straight through until 5:15 this afternoon.  There are still a number of things left in Kelly's room because in August, Kelly's daughter Rebecca (little Ella's Mom) will be coming back from Spain for a few weeks, and she wants to come up and see her Mom's room and go through the remainder of Kelly's things.  It will be at that time that Kelly's room will be completely done.  Sabra rolled out about 5:25.  Thanks Sabe for all you have done.
SABRA'S CAR WEDNESDAY NIGHT LOOKS FULL BUT IT GOT EVEN FULLER TONIGHT WHEN WE LOADED MORE OF KELLY'S STUFF IN
Not wanting to sit on my duff for two evenings in a row, I wasn't long in cranking Subie up and heading off down Bayfield River Road to my country road walking spot on Stirling's Line.
TWILIGHT HAY BALES
Home again, and looking for things to do, I hauled out my stepladder and continued bringing more things down from the rafters in the carport.  Some of these things I will load up in the utility trailer when the weather improves, and drive to Pete, the scrapyard guy's place, and drop off.

John comes back quite late from a day at the golf course, and his wife asks: "What kind of day did you have?"  "It was terrible dear," John replies. "I was playing a round with Harry, and suddenly he collapsed and died at the third hole."  "That must have been awful for you dear." said John's wife.  John said "You're right, it was awful. Fifteen holes of hit the ball, drag Harry, hit the ball, drag Harry . . ."

One day, a fair-haired lady goes over to her neighbor's house, sees the other fair-haired lady crying, and asks her what happened.  The lady said that her mother had passed away.  The neighbor made her some coffee and calmed her down a little, and then left.  The next day, the neighbor went back over to the house and found her neighbor crying again.  She asked her why she was crying this time.  The neighbor said, "I just got off the phone with my sister. Her mother died too!"

KELLY'S DAUGHTER SABRA CAME TODAY AND BEGAN WORKING ON HER MOM'S ROOM

I DIDN'T TAKE ANY PHOTOS TODAY BUT I STUMBLED ACROSS A FEW FILE PHOTOS OF PHEEBS AND I TAKING OUR LAST CLASS A MOTORHOME FOR A SPIN
A dark and gloomy looking morning.  So dark at one point, our outside night lights came on.  I heard a few peals of thunder early on and then the rains came.  Lots of it, and it rained on and off for most of the day.  I busied myself cleaning up things (not that things weren't clean in the first place) but someone was coming this morning, and I knew it was going to be a difficult day for them.  Kelly's daughter, Sabra, rolled in shortly after noon at 12:22 .  Since her Mom's passing back in early December, she had never been here, and she had a mammoth task ahead of her.  I left Kelly's room basically untouched because I knew there were a lot of things in there that her daughters Sabra, and Rebecca, as well as her sons, Ben and Jason, might like to have.  I didn't want to begin dispensing with Kelly's personal things like clothing, footwear, jewelry, papers, photos, and cosmetics, etc., before her children had a chance to go through things.  Having been here for over 6 months with all of Kelly's things, I was basically okay with today, but I could see it was very difficult for Sabra, and I felt sad about that.  But, Sabra is like her Mom, and she was up for the task at hand, bringing bins, boxes, and labelling tape.  She soon busied herself with going through and organizing things.  I stayed out of Sabra's way but made myself available if she needed help with anything or had any questions.  With her Mom's cool determination, Sabra worked away all afternoon with hardly a break, sorting and organizing all of her Mom's stuff.  She filled bins, boxes, and bags, and by the time she finished up at 7:15 this evening, she had her car loaded with family stuff to take back to Cambridge.  But, she still isn't finished.  Knowing this job might take a few days, she pre-booked into an area Bed & Breakfast and will be back in the morning to continue sorting things.  I was totally amazed at how much she accomplished today, and I think Sabra surprised herself as well.  But, like her Mother, she's a hard worker and when she sets her mind to getting things done, she gets them done!!

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man and his wife were driving their Recreational Vehicle across the country and were nearing a town spelled Kissimee.  They noted the strange spelling and tried to figure how to pronounce it - KISS-a-me; kis-A-me; kis-a-ME. They grew more perplexed as they drove into the town.  Since they were hungry, they pulled into a place to get something to eat. At the counter, the man said to the waitress: "My wife and I can't seem to be able to figure out how to pronounce this place. Will you tell me where we are and say it very slowly so that I can understand."  The waitress looked at him and said: "Buuurrrgerrr Kiiiinnnng."

Little Sonia was shouting her prayers. "Please God send me a new doll for my birthday."  Her mother, overhearing this, said, "Don't shout dear, God isn't deaf."
"No, but Grandad is, and he's in the next room," Sonia replied.

A wife woke in the middle of the night to find her husband missing from bed. She got out of bed and checked around the house. She heard sobbing from the basement. After turning on the light and descending the stairs, she found he husband curled up in the corner of the basement,... crying like a baby. "Honey, what's wrong?", she asked, worried about what could hurt him so much. "Remember, 20 years ago when you got pregnant and your father threatened me to either marry you or to go to jail?" "Yes, of course," she replied.  "Well, I would have been released from jail this afternoon!"
