AND, TO ANY BLOG READERS IN MY AREA

THIS IS AN iPHONE PHOTO AT MY WALKING SPOT THIS MORNING
After posting Thursday night's post, and with daylight hours steadily becoming shorter, I barely made it out to my walking spot before Old Sol had dipped below the horizon.  After my walk, I followed a familiar route as of late, which led me over to the tall Eastlink tower on Tower Line Road.  Stopped for a bit, gazing over the countryside as dusk slowly settled over the land. To the east, I can see for five or six miles (further with binoculars) and to the south, about three miles.  I like to sit here listening to my soft music, and the crickets outside my window, while seeing all the red blinking lights on the horizon from the communication towers and wind turbines in the far distance.  And, I like to watch for the first visible stars and constellations appearing.  It is a favorite spot of mine now, and it brings me peace and quiet thoughts when there as late evening quietly slides into night.

Another sunny and beautiful late August morning.  A slight northerly breeze remains from yesterday so it was a might fine walk I had this morning.  I could have gone for a leisurely country drive after my walk, but my heart wasn't into it, so I came home.  Spent the rest of the morning puttering around in the yard until shortly before noon, when the humidity drove me inside.  My on-and-off puttering continued through the afternoon, but at a rather slow pace.

With Kelly's room looking so bare now, I scrounged around today looking for things to hang on the wall hooks in her room just to give it a feeling of her presence.  I'm feeling better about it now as I add a picture here, a wall hanging there, a colorful vase on her desk, a colorful comforter on her bed, etc.  I had previously thought I might take everything out of this room and use it as a storage area.  I've changed my mind on that thought and her room will now remain as you see it here..................

I HAVE KELLY'S ROOM LOOKING BETTER NOW WITH SOME ADDITIONS OF COLOR AND THINGS

And, to any readers in my area, if you know of a middle-aged, medium to small-sized doggy in need of a good home, I'd sure be interested in hearing from you.  I can be found at stargeezerguy@gmail.com.

WOODSY TOOK THIS PICTURE OF ME LAST WEEK ON BAYFIELD'S SOUTH PIER
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A Chinese Doctor can't find a job in a Hospital in the US, so he opens his own clinic and puts a sign  outside,'GET TREATMENT FOR $20 - IF NOT CURED GET BACK $100.' A local lawyer thinks this is a great opportunity to earn $100 and goes to the clinic......

Lawyer: 'I have lost my sense of taste.'
Chinese: 'Nurse, bring medicine from box No. 22 and put 3 drops in patient's mouth.'
Lawyer: 'Ugh. this is kerosene.'
Chinese: 'Congrats, your sense of taste is restored. Give me $20.'
The annoyed lawyer goes back after a few days to recover his money.
Lawyer: 'I have lost my memory. I cannot remember anything.'
Chinese: 'Nurse, bring medicine from box no. 22 and put 3 drops in his mouth.'
Lawyer (annoyed): 'This is kerosene. You gave this to me last time for restoring my taste.'
Chinese: 'Congrats. You got your memory back. Give me $20.'
The fuming lawyer pays him, and then comes back a week later determined to get back $100.
Lawyer: 'My eyesight has become very weak I can't see at all.'
Chinese: 'Well, I don't have any medicine for that, so take this $100.'
Lawyer (staring at the note): 'But this is $20, not $100!!'
Chinese: 'Congrats, your eyesight is restored. Give me $20'

The husband and wife were playing on the ninth green when she collapsed from a heart attack. "Please dear, I need help," she said. The husband ran off saying, "I'll go get some help." A little while later, he returned, picked up his club, and began to line up his shot on the green. His wife, on the ground, raised up her head and said, "I'm may be dying and you're putting?" "Don't worry dear. I found a doctor on the second hole who said he would come and help." "The second hole??? When in the hell is he coming???" "Hey! I told ya not to worry." he said, practice stroking his putt. "Everyone's already agreed to let him play through."

BUT, THE LOVE OF THEIR MOTHER WILL BOND US TOGETHER FOREVER

GOODBYES ARE ALWAY SAD AND ESPECIALLY SO WHEN IT'S LIKELY ONE MAY NEVER SEE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN
Despite what looked like an overcast sky on Wednesday evening, I did head out to my walking spot. Stepping out of the car I was amazed at the ominous cloud formations which I somehow didn't notice while driving there.

I WAS SURPRISED BY THE OMINOUS LOOKING BUT BEAUTIFUL CLOUDS OVERHEAD

 KIND OF SCARY
DESPITE THE CLOUD COVER OVERHEAD, I WAS ABLE TO GET A COUPLE OF LONG TELEPHOTO SHOTS OF THE SUNRISE, WHICH WAS JUST A SLIVER OF LIGHT ON THE DISTANT HORIZON
Up a touch earlier on this latter August morn.  I knew Sabra and Rebecca would be returning earlier after spending the night at the Bayfield South Suites a few miles south of Bayfield on the Bluewater Highway.  Before they arrived, I had myself out for a country road walk followed by a short drive through the countryside.  It was a beautiful sunny morning with a few clouds and a slight warming north breeze.  Saw a few butterflies on my walk, but nothing like last week when they swirled around me.  I wish I had thought to take a video of that with my iPhone, which I had in my pocket.  Oh well, maybe next August.

A FEW PHOTOS IN OUR BACKYARD THIS AFTERNOON

Home again, I whipped myself up a two-egg omelet with onions, cheese, and chunks of ham.  Had I had some green peppers, I would have tossed them in too.  No, I have not tried adding peanut butter to my two-egg omelets.

BEAN FIELDS ARE BEGINNING TO RIPEN
ARRIVING AT MY WALKING SPOT THIS MORNING, I SAW THIS HAWK IN THE DISTANCE SITTING BESIDE A PATCH OF WHITE....WALKING OUT INTO THE FIELD, I SAW THE PATCH OF WHITE WAS A SEAGULL THAT THE HAWK HAD BROUGHT DOWN
Sabra and Rebecca rolled in about 12:30 and resumed their sad task in their Mom's room.  But, I must say, neither one of those two gals let that sadness interfere with the job that had to be done.  I helped out with little bits here and there when needed, but basically, I let Sabra and Rebecca make the decisions regarding the distribution of all of their Mom's things.  As the day began to wind down, they took a break and we all sat around the kitchen table reminiscing about their Mother.  We also had a second moment standing in Kelly's bedroom when we talked about Kelly, and I was able to bring them more memories of their Mother and what a good person she was.  There were some chuckles, and there were some tears.  And then.....they were finally done, and with Sabra's car fully loaded down, it was time to say goodbye.  I knew this would be a difficult time because the reality of the situation is that it was unlikely we would ever see each other again.  Our lives, for so long entwined with Kelly's, would now move on in other directions and interests, but the love of their Mother will bond us together forever.

AT THIS POINT, WEDNESDAY EVENING, THE GIRLS WERE ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH THEIR MOM'S STUFF

SABRA DRIVING AND REBECCA IN THE PASSENGER SEAT
GROANER'S CORNER:(( The man was in no shape to drive, so he wisely left his car parked and walked home. As he was walking unsteadily along, he was stopped by a policeman. "What are you doing out here at 2 A.M.?" asked the officer. "I'm going to a lecture." The man said. "And who is going to give a lecture at this hour?" the cop asked. "My wife," said the man.

I'm at my boss's funeral, kneeling and whispering at the coffin..."Who's thinking outside the box now, Gary?"

My friend bought a bus pass to a nude beach.
It turned out to be a ticket to no wear.

I was in a couple’s home trying to fix their Internet connection. The husband called out to his wife in the other room for the computer password. “Start with a capital S, then 123,” she shouted back. We tried S123 several times, but it didn’t work. So we called the wife in. As she input the password, she muttered, “I really don’t know what’s so difficult about typing Start123.”

An old-time pastor was riding furiously down the road, hurrying to get to church on time. Suddenly, his horse stumbled and threw him to the ground. Lying in the dirt, his body wracked with pain, the pastor called out, “All you angels in heaven, help me get up on my horse!”With extraordinary strength, he leaped onto the horse’s back—and fell off the other side. From the ground again, he called out, “All right, just half of you angels this time!”
