AND THAT WRAPS UP ANOTHER DAY IN EARLY APRIL OF 2021

COULD THIS MAYBE BE AN UPSIDE DOWN HORSE??
It was a steady rain upon us by noon so any thoughts of outside activities for the afternoon were promptly squelched.  Luckily, Pheebs and I had motored ourselves over to the Hullett-Marsh earlier and ventured off on a short walk in a bit of a slow and infrequent drizzle.  We didn't really get wet, we just kinda felt like we did.  Took a few pics at the Marsh and a few more on the way home.  And that wraps up another early April day in the year 2021.

THE ONLY HINT OF SUNSHINE TODAY WAS IN MY FIRST 'TEST SHOT' THIS MORNING

THERE ARE MANY WATERWAYS IN THE MAN-MADE HULLETT-MARSH
A NUMBER OF PONDS ARE CONTAINED BY EARTHEN BERMS AND THE WATER IS CONTROLLED BY GATES LIKE THIS ONE BETWEEN PONDS AND STREAMS
DOUBLE CULVERTS ALLOW FOR SPRING FLOODING

THE HULLETT MARSH IS CALLED A MARSH FOR GOOD REASON
THERE IS AN ABUNDANCE OF WATERFOWL IN THE MARSH
DEPENDING ON WATER MANAGEMENT THESE PONDS ARE SOMETIMES FULL OF WATER AND AT OTHER TIMES NEARLY DRY
I ALWAYS BRING A HOT CUP OF COFFEE TO THE MARSH WITH ME
THE RED BARN IN THE BACKGROUND IS THE ONE THAT SHOWS UP IN OUR CHRISTMAS CARD THESE PAST FEW YEARS
IT IS ALSO THE FARM OF THESE CUTE SMALL STATURE HORSES
HAVING A GOOD OLD ROLL IN THE DIRT
EVEN CUTE LITTLE HORSES NEED AN AFTERNOON SIESTA
GROANER'S CORNER:((   A milkman who is dying in the hospital is surrounded his two sons, daughter, and his wife and nurse.  He says to his eldest son: "To you, Peter, I leave the Beverly terrace."  "To you, my dear daughter, I leave the apartments in the High street Plaza."  "To you, Charlie, being my youngest son with a large future, I leave the City Centre offices."  "And you, my dear wife, the three residential buildings towers in down town."  The nurse, impressed, tells his wife: "Madam, your husband is very rich. He is bequeathing many properties! You all are so lucky!!"  And the wife retorts: "Rich? Lucky?? Are you kidding??!! Those are his routes where he delivers milk!"

SOME DAYS ARE JUST VERY MUCH MORE BETTERER THAN OTHERS

THIS REFLECTION IN THE JEEP WINDOW IS MY IDEA OF A SELFIE I GUESS
When RVing and stopped somewhere for the night or longer I'm never too particular if we're dead level or not so why would I spend so much time and effort on leveling the rig in our driveway when we're not even in it.  I don't know either but I fritzed and frittered moving gravel around and placing it under the wheels this afternoon for way too long trying to get Scooter sitting perfectly level.  Did I succeed??  Of course not.  I may have to get a bulldozer in!!

WE STOPPED ON BLUE BLUFF ROAD SOUTH  OF BAYFIELD TO TAKE SOME EAGLE PHOTOS

MAMA BALD EAGLE ON HER NEST
I SURE HAVE THE 'EAGLE EYE' UPON ME
PAPA EAGLE A FAIR DISTANCE AWAY IS WATCHING A NEARBY FIELD FOR BREAKFAST
What a delight to not wake up to temperatures below the freezing mark for a change.  Sunny day and I think we got up into the high fifties somewhere.  Spent most of my afternoon outside doing yard work and thoroughly enjoying it.  No bugs, no humidity, no problem:))

SO NICE TO SEE CHIPMUNKS SCAMPERING AROUND OUR YARD AGAIN
LITTLE RED PEERS THROUGH THE SUNROOM WINDOW TO SEE IF I AM GOING TO SCARE HIM OFF OUR HANGING BIRDFEEDER FOR THE 16TEENTH MILLION TIME TODAY
'HOW'S THIS FOR A POSE MISTER CAMERAMAN'
'OR MAYBE YOU LIKE THIS ONE BETTER'
Pheebs and I did make it out for a toot around the countryside this morning and how nice to be out in the sunshine with fields greening up, birds chirping, no snow left anywhere, and bare dry roads.  Some days are just very much more betterer than others.

ON THIS EASTER SUNDAY MORNING BAYFIELD'S FISHING FLEET BASKS IN THE MORNING SUNSHINE
I THINK LAKE HURON'S WATER LEVEL IS DOWN BECAUSE I CAN SEE MORE OF BAYFIELD'S BEACH
 MAYBE PURPLE MARTINS
I SURE LOVE WANDERING THESE COUNTRY ROADS EVERY MORNING
BY THE LOOKS OF THAT RED NOSE I THINK PEOPLE ARE GOING TO START CALLING ME RUDOLPH
MY IDEA OF A HELMUT CAM
PHEEBS AND I LIKE STOPPING BY QUIET COUNTRY STREAMS
An afternoon walk around the Park's pond and I was surprised to see a single large goose egg on the ground.  No nest, just a flattened-out spot in the trodden-down grass.

NOW THAT IS ONE LARGE GOOSE EGG
HIDING BESIDE A TREE PAPA MALLARD DIDN'T THINK I COULD SEE HIM ON THE FAR SIDE OF THE POND
A SPRING FLOWER BUT I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF IT
 THIS IS DEFINITELY A CROCUS
IN OUR PARK, A FOREST ONCE STOOD HERE
LOOKS LIKE THIS LOT WILL SOON BE READY FOR A NEW MOBILE HOME
Re-reading my last paragraph in Saturday's post I don't think I explained myself well.  I liked the commenter's comments much better.

GROANER'S CORNER:((
A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.  The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come and take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage.  "Hey, Doc, want to take a look at this?"  The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle.  The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its' heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new. So how come I make $39,675 a year and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?"  The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic..... "Try doing it with the engine running."

Did you ever notice?  When you put the two words  "The" and "IRS" together it spells "THEIRS"?
