BUT WHAT A GREAT IDEA EH:))

I SAW THIS YOUNG FELLA TRAVELLING THROUGH OUR PARK TODAY
It was a cool misty morn when Pheebs and I ventured out at the start of our day.  Parking the Jeep on a flat spot of grass beside a farmer's field it was a gentle southerly breeze that greeted us on our country road walk.  Light overnight rains had dampened the gravel but not muddied up the hard surface below the stones.  Not a sound in the air as I crunched along on top of the fresh gravel.  Pheebs likes to walk in the long grass beside the road, then come bounding up out of the ditch to see where I am.

A SLIGHT MIST IN THE AIR AS PHEEBS AND I ROLLED OUT OF OUR PARK
A FEW COWS ON THIS SLIGHTLY FOGGY MORNING
PHEEBS AND WEREN'T LONG IN HEADING UP THE ROAD AT OUR FAVORITE WALKING SPOT
AT THE TURNAROUND POINT I CAN'T EVEN SEE THE JEEP ANYMORE BUT I CAN SEE PHEEBS DOWN THERE ON THE LEFT PLOWING THROUGH THE GRASS
BACK TO THE JEEP WE MADE A U-TURN AND HEADED FOR HOME
Home again and with the air feeling cold and damp we headed inside.  It's been cold enough at night that the last few days we have had our furnace running.  Before sinking into my sunroom recliner I cranked up our little fireplace stove beside my chair, opened my kindle book, and fell asleep.

ARRIVING BACK AT OUR PARK I TOOK A DRIVE AROUND TAKING A FEW PHOTOS ALONG THE WAY
SO NICE SEEING THE LILAC TREES IN BLOOM
AND WE EVEN GOT TO SEE ONE OF THE PARK'S DOGGIES TOO
I don't know when the skies cleared and the temperature came up but when I woke up it didn't take Pheebs and I long to get outside and take ourselves for a walk around the Park's pond and farther back towards the forest.  How nice to see deep blue skies through the tall pine trees.

 AFTERNOON WALK
WE STOPPED TO SAY HELLO TO THE TURTLES
'HELLO  TO YOU TOO LITTLE CHUGGERUM'
Noticed some readers have mentioned they are having problems leaving comments.  I wished there was a way around the problem for readers not to have to go through that frustrating Google comment maze in order to leave a comment.  In my Blogger settings is a spot where I can check a box with 3 options.  1. Anyone (including anonymous) can comment.  2. Users with Google accounts.  3. Only members of this blog.  I have #2 selected.  The reason I do not have #1 selected is spam.  I tried #1 half a dozen times over the years and each time I did it only took a couple days for the spambots to begin dropping all kinds of spam advertising into the comment section.  If anyone has any ideas for a way around the spam crap I'd appreciate hearing from them.  By the way, for the few people making it through the Google maze, I say thank you for your comments:))

TWO CANADA GEESE OUT FOR A STROLL IN OUR PARK THIS MORNING
IT IS A NICE PARK WE HAVE HERE AND MOST RESIDENT STAKE GREAT PRIDE IN THEIR GROUNDS

AND YES, WE RESIDENTS SURE LOVE OUR FOREST SETTING WITH ALL THE TREES AND GREENERY
Goderich's Alexandria Marine and General Hospital received a brand spanking new CT Scanner this past Tuesday replacing an older model.  Kelly was almost the very first person to try out the new machine Wednesday but there was one fella ahead of her.  She said the machine is so modern that anyone in the machine for over a minute an arm swings around with a tray on it and presents to the person a steaming hot cup of Tim Hortons coffee and a couple freshly baked apple fritter donuts.  Now how's that for a nice touch.  Okay, okay, so Kelly really didn't say that, but what a great idea eh:))

KELLY TOOK THIS PHOTO WEDNESDAY OF GODERICH'S NEW CT SCANNER AND SHE SAID THE TRAY WITH THE COFFEE AND DONUTS COMES AROUND FROM THE RIGHT:))
Ellen's Groove:: In this short video clip 8-year-old Ellen 'virtually' jams with drummer Jerrod J-rod Sullivan.  Virtual Jam.

GROANER'S CORNER:((  An old man ordered one hamburger, one order of French fries and one drink. He then unwrapped the burger and carefully cut it in half, placing one half in front of his wife.  He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife.  He took a sip of the drink, and then his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them.  As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them kept looking over and whispering. You could tell they were thinking: "That poor old couple -- all they can afford is one meal for the two of them."  As the man began to eat his fries, a young man came to the table. He politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old man said they were just fine -- they were used to sharing everything.  The surrounding people noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink.  Again the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time, the old woman said: "No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything."  As the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady, who had yet to eat a single bite of food, and asked: "What is it you are waiting for?"  She answered: "The teeth."

Two cowboys were lost in the desert when they spotted a tree draped in bacon strips.  "We're saved!" shouted one cowboy. But when he ran up to the tree, he was shot multiple times.  It wasn't a bacon tree, it was a ham bush.

AND THAT WRAPS UP ANOTHER DAY

IT'S QUITE A TIME I HAVE WITH OUR FRONT YARD CRITTERS SOME DAYS
First order of business this morning was to get the jumper cables out again and jump-start Scooter with the Jeep.  Scoot had an appointment at the Bayfield Garage to have a new battery installed.  Following that, Pheebs and I took a little drive around the countryside but at 36F this morning we skipped our walk.  Rained this afternoon so I spent a big  part of my day reading.  Picked up Scooter around 4:30 and that wraps up another day.

Ellen's Groove:: Here's Ellen and her Dad doing, Don't Stop The Music.  And here is Ellen awhile back trying her hand at singing the Beatles song Penny Lane.  If you listen carefully you can hear she has a natural tone in her voice and I think with practice and perhaps with singing lessons and coaching, she could very well become a fine singer someday.

AND THIS ON OUR KITCHEN COUNTER THIS MORNING.....WE WERE MARRIED 20 YEARS AGO TODAY:))))
GROANER'S CORNER:(( - Hello! Gordon's pizza?

- No sir it's Google's pizza.

- So it's a wrong number? Sorry.......
- No sir, Google bought it.

- OK. Take my order please.
- Well sir, you want the usual?

- The usual? You know me?
- According to our caller ID data sheet, in the last 12 times you ordered pizza with cheeses, sausage, and thick crust.  May I suggest to you this time ricotta, arugula with dry tomato.?

- What? I hate vegetables.
- Your cholesterol is not good, sir.

- How do you know?
- We crossed the number of your fixed line with your name, through the subscribers guide.  We have the result of your blood tests for the last 7 years.

- Okay, but I do not want this pizza because I already take medicine.
-Excuse me, but you have not taken the medicine regularly.  From our commercial database, 4 months ago, you only purchased a box with 30 cholesterol tablets at 'DrugSale Network'.

- I bought more from another drugstore.
- It's not showing on your credit card statement.

- I paid in cash.
- But you did not withdraw that much cash according to your bank statement.

- I have have other sources of cash.
- This is not showing as per your last Tax form unless you bought them from an undeclared income source.

-WHAT THE HELL?
- I'm sorry sir, we use such information only with the intention of helping you.

- Enough! I'm sick of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. I'm going to an Island without internet, cable TV, where there is no cell phone line and no one to watch me or spy on me.
- I understand sir but you need to renew your passport first as it expired 5 weeks ago..........

SOME DAYS THE WORDS JUST DON'T COME

GROANER'S CORNER:(( What's the difference between a rock guitarist and a jazz guitarist?  A rock guitarist plays 4 notes in front of 1000 people, while a jazz guitarist plays 1000 notes in front of 4 people.

I HEARD A RUCKUS IN THE TREE BRANCHES

IT IS A VERY GREEN FRONT YARD WE HAVE ONCE AGAIN
A gentle steady rain all night right up to about 9 a.m. this morning I'm sure it has made the area's farm folks mighty happy.  I know all the plant life is overjoyed and even some of my recently planted grass has sprouted.  Our foliage is literally exploding into growth.

WE HAVE MORE FERNS GROWING THIS YEAR THAN EVER BEFORE
MARSH MARIGOLDS BESIDE OUR FROG POND
WISHED I KNEW THE NAME OF THESE YELLOW FLOWERS
OUR SMALL CORKSCREW TREE IS LEAFING OUT
AND BY GOLLY MY RECENTLY SEEDED GRASS IS ACTUALLY GROWING ......WELL WHO WOULD HAVE EVER THUNK IT EH
No walk for Pheebs and I this morning because of the rain but we did do a little Jeep ride into Bayfield and back admiring all the nice landscaping and beautiful homes along the way.  We are so fortunate to live in such a nice area here along the eastern shores of Lake Huron.

WHEN I STOPPED TO TAKE A PHOTO OF THESE TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF TREES BLOOMING TOGETHER I HEARD A RUCKUS IN THE BRANCHES AND TOOK THE PHOTOS BELOW

I'LL LET READERS USE THEIR OWN THOUGHTS TO CAPTION THIS PHOTO:))
ALSO IN THE SAME TREE, I SPOTTED WHAT I THINK IS A BALTIMORE ORIOLE WATCHING THE ACTIN
THE REASON HE IS LOOKING A BIT BEDRAGGLED IS BECAUSE IT WAS RAINING WHILE I TOOK THESE PHOTOS
With everything growing so fast now I had to do a fair bit of tree and shrub trimming today.  While at it I figured I might as well cut down some of the older Sumac trees out around our carport, so that's what I did, then loaded up the utility trailer with branches and hauled it all off to the Park's recycle area.  The only way I was able to get any of this work done was because of the cooler weather.  I think we may have topped out around 58F.  And it looks like 58 will be about the average temperature for the next two weeks.  And that is quite alright with me:))

SITTING IN MY RECLINER IN THE RIG TAKING A SELFIE IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR
Pheebs and I did get out for a walk around the Park's pond this afternoon but I didn't take a camera along.  Some days I just take way too many pictures.  We finished our day under a mixture of sun and cloud.

OUR REDBUD TREE IS IN BLOOM
GROANER'S CORNER:((
A man goes into the hospital for some tests. The medical staff knocks him out, and when he comes around there is a doctor peering over him, pulling up his eyelid and wielding the reflex hammer.  The doctor says: "Ah, I'm glad you're awake. I'm afraid I have some good news and some bad news."  The man says: "Don't hold back, Doc, tell me the bad news."  The doctor says "Your condition was worse than we thought and we had to amputate both of your legs."  The man asks: "What is the good news, then?"  The doctor replies: "The man in the next bed wants to buy your slippers."
